주요 원유 현물가격간의 비선형 동적조정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Nonlinear Dynamic Adjustment of Spot Prices of Major Crude Oils)

  • 본 연구는 3가지 상태 threshold 벡터오차수정모형(three-regime threshold vector error correction model)을 활용하여 WTI, Brent, Dubai 등 세계 3대 마커(marker)원유의 현물 유가 간 비선형 동적조정 과정에 대해 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 2000년 1월 3일부터 2014년 12월 31일까지의 일별가격을 이용하였으며 WTI가 급격히 하락하기 시작한 2010년을 기준으로 전기와 후기로 구분하여 WTI-Brent와 WTI-Dubai 그리고 Brent-Dubai의 세 조합에 대해 실증분석하였다. 전기에는 세 조합 모두 양 시장 간 비선형적 동적조정이 이루어지고 있으나, 후기에서는 WTI-Brent를 제외한 WTI-Dubai 조합과 Brent-Dubai 조합에서만 비선형적 동적조정과정이 이루어지고 있는 것이 관찰되었다. 또한 WTI-Dubai 조합과 Brent-Dubai 조합에 대해 전기와 후기의 거래비용 추정결과를 보면 후기에서 시장 간의 거래비용이 전기에 비해 축소되었음을 확인하였다.

Semantics for Default Rules

  • It is well-known that default rules require a nonmonotonic logic. Veltman proposed one dynamic theory which interprets default rules in such a way that correct inferences can be made at each information state. But his theory has some problems. First, this theory excludes the possibility that a default rule can be true of false. Second, his representation of an information state makes it difficult to interpret a default rule embedded in another sentence. Third, the notion of a frame which is introduced in the interpretation of a default rule and the adjustment of inferential expectation has a more complex structure than is necessary, In this paper, I propose a truth-conditional theory of default rules in which the meaning of a default rule is defined as a truth-condition in a possible world and which assumes a simpler structure of a frame. This makes it possible to interpret a default rule embedded in a sentence. A dynamic theory for default rules is also proposed for correct inferences based on default rules.

수출성과와 기업특성: 기술혁신요인을 중심으로 (Export Performance and Firm Characteristics: Special Reference to Innovation Factors)

  • This paper investigates the relationships between export and firm characteristics, focusing on technology factors. It is based on a longitudinal data covering listed firms in the Korean manufacturing industry. A regression model for the determinant of export/sales ratio including dynamic adjustment process is tested on a cross-section sample of the year 2001. Empirical findings suggest that there is no significant relationship between export/sales ratio and firm's technological level. The hypotheses concerning human capital intensity and physical capital intensity are also rejected. But we found a positive and inversely U-shaped relationship between firm size and export/sales for basic material and capital good industry. As a dynamic aspect, we found that the pattern of export/sales ratio changed unstably over the last decade. Finally, some policy implications are presented.

  • This paper analyzes a dynamic lot-sizing problem, in which the order size of multiple products and a single container type are simultaneously considered. In the problem, each order (product) placed in a period is immediately shipped immediately by containers in the period and the total freight cost is proportional to the number of each container type employed. Also, it is assumed that backlogging is not allowed. The objective of this study is to determine the lot-sizes and the shipping policy that minimizes the total costs, which consist of ordering costs, inventory holding costs, and freight costs. Because this problem is NP-hard, we propose a heuristic algorithm with an adjustment mechanism, based on the optimal solution properties. The computational results from a set of simulation experiment are also presented.

  • Recently the construction of railway sections passing the central area of cities and stations under railway lines are increasing, and then it is urgently required to take the countermeasures against the railway vibration and the second-phase noise radiated from it. The most efficient countermeasure, out of technologies developed up to now, is the floating slab track which is the track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. In other countries, the source technologies for anti-vibration design and vibration isolator - one of key components - have been developed and many installation experiences have been accumulated. However, in Korea, since the system design technology and technologies for key components are not yet developed, the foreign system are being introduced without any adjustment, and the key component, vibration isolator, depends on imports. In this study, floating slab was divided into three spans, $k_{dynamic}$ use by examining reactions and member forces was to ensure safety.

The Interactive Relationship between Small and Medium-sized Enterprises' Clusters and Regional Economic Growth

  • Purpose - This paper aims to explain the interactive relationship between small and medium-sized enterprises' clusters and regional economic growth, with Jiangsu Province as an illustrative example. It focuses on studying the promotional effects, if any, of small and medium-sized enterprises' cluster-development on regional economic growth, and vice-versa. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from the Jiangsu Statistical Yearbook and the China Industrial Economic Statistical Yearbook, by selecting 26 industries as the research subjects. The sample interval selection is 1981-2012. The data were analyzed with the dynamic panel system using stata 12.0. Results - 1) The small and medium-sized enterprises' cluster degree and Jiangsu's economic growth have a long-term stable equilibrium relationship. 2) In the short term, they have a dynamic adjustment 3) The enterprises' cluster degree leads to regional economic growth in Jiangsu, but not vice-versa. Conclusions - Small and medium-sized enterprises' clusters have an important promotional effect on Jiangsu's economic growth, especially industries with high degree of agglomeration. Therefore, the formation of these clusters can significantly improve economic growth.

Q10 더미를 이용한 어린이용 안전장치 동적 성능 평가 (A Study on Child Restraints System for Q10 dummy in frontal sled test)

  • Recently, Child safety has become one of the issue with Q10 dummy representing large child. The objective of this paper was to evaluate performance of three child restraints system (backless booster, high-back booster and without booster) by changing D-ring location in the rear seat. Sled tests were carried out with a Q 10 in 64km/h frontal impact. Before the dynamic sled tests, we assessed dummy positioning with difference in CRS types and height adjustment positions. Dynamic sled test results indicated that there is different performance of CRS types and belt routing. These test results will use as base line data for development CRS safety performance for Q 10.

Dynamic Pricing and Ordering Decision for the Perishable Food of the Supermarket Using RFID Technology

  • Product quality of perishable food is significantly affected by the environment. Technological approaches for tracking and tracing such products have attracted increasing attentions in both research and practice. This paper studies how supermarket can maximize profits of selling perishable food through price adjustment based on real-ime product quality and values. This can be achieved by tracing the value of the perishable food based on an automatic product identification technology Radio Frequency Identification(RFID). With the support of the RFID, an optimization model can be developed to enable product tracking and tracing. The analysis of the model shows promising benefits of applying a dynamic pricing policy and obtains the optimal ordering decision in the respect of deterministic demand function.

Modeling of Belt-Pulley and Flexible Coupling Effects on Submarine Driven System Electrical Motors

  • Nowadays numerous research projects are being conducted in the field of electric motors. Non-modeling of flexible connections such as couplings and the belt-pulley do not show some real behaviors. With an increase in the number of connections and drive factors, these Non-modeled modes become more important. The coupling of two electric motors, instead of one motor, in submarine propeller force is an obvious example which shows that Non-modeled vibration modes caused by flexible connections can disturb controller operation and make undesirable vibrations in the submarine body. In this paper a dynamic model of flexible connections and a completed dynamic model of two different coupled electric models is presented. A robust controller for the completed model is also amended so that the two controlling targets of a desired speed adjustment and an appropriate load division between the two motors with sufficient accuracy are achieved.

  • 첨단 교통 체계(Intelligent Transport Systems)의 중요한 요소인 첨단 교통 관리 체계(Advanced Traffic Management Systems)의 성공 여부는 교통정보를 어떻게 제공하고 통제하는데 의존하다. 즉, 정보 제공 방식과 이데 대한 운전자의 반응을 정확하게 파악하고 예측하여야 ITS를 성공적으로 구축할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 동적 차량 길잡이 장치의 효용성을 평가하기 위한 확률적 통행배정모형을 개발하는 것이다. 개발된 통행배정모형은 운전자의 동적행태조정(Dynamic Behavioural Adjustment)을 명백하게 확솔 과정(Stochastic Process)으로 표현하여 기존의 모형에 비해 통해자들의 행태를 더욱 실제적으로 반영한다. 특히, 각 통행자들에게 K개의 최소경로시간을 제공해줌으로 인하여 통행자의 노선선택에 대한 선택폭을 증가시켜준다. 통행경로의 선택폭의 증가는 쟁점으로 대두되는 문제(교통항제소에서는 차량 길잡이 보유 운전자에게 체계최적(System Optimum)와 이용자최적(User Equilibrium)중 어떠한 원칙하에 교통정보를 제공하여야 하는가에 대한 해결 방안이다. 왜냐하면 만약 교통급제소에서 운전자에게 통행정보를 체계 최상을 하기 위해 정보를 제공하고자 하면, 길잡이 장착 운전자는 더 이상 제공된 정보를 따르지 않고 자기 스스로의 경에 의해 이용자 최상을 달성하고자 할 것이다. 이 논문의 목적은 이러한 복잡한 통행자의 경로선택행위를 반영하는 확률적 평형 통행 배정 모형을 여러가지 통계기법을 도입하여 개발하는 것이다.
