UKF 기반 2-자유도 진자 시스템의 파라미터 추정 (Parameter Estimation of 2-DOF System Based on Unscented Kalman Filter)

  • In this paper, the states and parameters in a dynamic system are estimated by applying an Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF). The UKF is widely used in various fields such as sensor fusion, trajectory estimation, and learning of Neural Network weights. These estimations are necessary and important in determining the stability of a mobile system, monitoring, and predictions. However, conventional approaches are difficult to estimate based on the experimental data, due to properties of non-linearity and measurement noises. Therefore, in this paper, UKF is applied in estimating the states and parameters needed. An experimental dynamic system has been set up for obtaining data and the experimental data is collected for parameter estimation. The measurement noises are primarily reduced by applying the Low Pass Filter (LPF). Given the simulation results, the estimated error rate is 39 percent more efficient than the results obtained using the Least Square Method (LSM). Secondly, the estimated parameters have an average convergence period of four seconds.

  • For the geotechnical analysis in the construction and Deign of the coastal structures, one of the most important factors is the existence of waves. The dynamic behavior and deformation of the seabed subjected to wave load must be considered. It is expected that the soil behavior in the seabed subjected to cyclic wave load is much different from that on the ground subjected to dynamic forces such as earthquake. The purposes of this study are as follows ; Firstly, to provide a testing method to generate wave loads in the laboratory and measuring oscillatory pore water pressures in the unsaturated marine silty sand specimen, Secondly, to analyze the mechanism of wave induced pore water pressures and liquefaction potentials under the conditions in the testing. It is shown that the test set-up manufactured especially for the test is good to generate oscillatory wave pressures to the specimen with sine wave type. From the results of this study, it is understood that the pore water pressure due to induced waves is not accumulated as the wave number increases but is periodically varied with wave passage on still water surface. The magnitude of pore water pressures measured tends to be diminished radically with a certain time lag under the action of both high and low waves as depth increases.

  • These days the construction of extra-long piles increases. It is not unusual to install piles whose length exceed 45m. In such cases, the estimated value of negative skin friction becomes larger, often larger than the design load. In order to be sure of the safety of the super structure, the magnitude of the positive skin friction and the base bearing capacity should be known. In practice dynamic pile loading tests using PDA is the only possible measure to meet this requirement. However the analysis of dynamic pile loading test for such extra-long piles requires a thorough understanding of the pile-soil behaviour. In this paper, a new method to evaluate the positive skin friction and end bearing capacity from the normally performed PDA test is proposed. The proposed method was verified by performing specially designed pilot testings.

  • Reinforced twice than width of foundation with SIC under steel piles drived in cohesion soil and in the coal-limestone which heavily fractured. To analyze behaviour characteristic of steel piles, load transfer test was performed to steel piles attached with strain gauges to axial direction. After it passed 49days, dynamic load test was performed to set-up effect of steel piles bearing capacity. The results of test were compared to each other. According to the results, as the skin friction of steel pile was on the same condition, end bearing capacity of steel piles established on SIC solid of cemented milk in cohesion soil was three times than steel piles established on SIG solid of cemented milk in heavily fractured coal- limestone. After piles were driven and passes 49days, in case of piles on SIG solid of comented milk in cohesion soil the increaes of allowable bearing capacity was 442.9% and allowable bearing capacity of piles on SIG solid of cemented milk in heavily fractured coal-limestone increased 22.4%.

  • The object of this work is to develop the measurement method of the transmission error of the helical gears. For this purpose, experimental set up is designed by 3D CAD software. It consists of the motor, inverter, powdered brake equipment, torque sensor and helical gearbox. In this study, tangential linear accelerometers were used as the methods for the transmission error measurement. the acceleration signals are transmitted to the signal conditioners through the slip rings and the transmission errors are obtained by a specially designed circuit board. The transmission errors are analyzed in the frequency domain. As a result, The periodicity of the transmission error is confirmed in the mesh frequency and its harmonics. The magnitude of harmonic components is very dependent on the natural frequencies of the gear system. It usually increases with the rotational speed. However, it does not always increase with torque.

  • Aerobic bacterial growth on Korean pan.fried meat patties as a primary quality deterioration factor was modeled as a function of temperature to estimate microbial spoilage on a real.time basis under dynamic storage conditions. Bacteria counts in the stretch.wrapped foods held at constant temperatures of 0, 5, 10 and $15^{\circ}C$ were measured throughout storage. The bootstrapping method was applied to generate many resampled data sets of mean microbial counts, which were then used to estimate the parameters of the microbial growth model of Baranyi & Roberts in the form of differential equations. The temperature functions of the primary model parameters were set up with confidence limits. Incorporating the temperature dependent parameters into the differential equations of bacterial growth could produce predictions closely representing the experimental data under constant and fluctuating temperature conditions.

  • Seismic structural fragility constitutes an important step for performance based seismic design. Lateral load-resisting structural members are often analyzed under one component base excitation, while the effect of bi-directional shaking is accounted per simplified rules. Fragility curves are constructed herein under real bi-directional excitation by a simple extension of the conventional Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) under uni-directional shaking. Simple SODF systems, parametrically adjusted to different periods, are examined under a set of near-fault and far-fault excitations. Consideration of bi-directional interaction appears important for stiff systems. Further, the study indicates that the peak ground accelertaion, velocity and displacement (PGA, PGV and PGD) of accelerogram are relatively stable and efficient intensity measures for short, medium and long period systems respectively. '30%' combination rule seems to reasonably predict the fragility under bi-directional shaking at least for first mode dominated systems dealt herein up to a limit state of damage control.

  • 분산 공유 메모리(Distributed Shared Memory) 시스템에서 데이타 참조의 지역성은 시스템 성능에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 데이타 참조의 지역성을 고려하여 적절하게 데이타를 배치할 경우 전체적인 시스템 성능 향상을 가질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 데이타 배치 방식을 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 동적제한 디렉터리 기법에서 성능을 평가한다. 데이타 배치 방식 정보는 동적 제한 디렉터리 기법에서 존재 비트를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있다. 그리고 적절한 존재 비트의 사용은 메모리 오버헤드를 줄이고 디렉터리 풀을 효율적으로 사용하므로 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다. 성능 평가를 위해 서로 다른 공유 특성을 가진 3개의 응용 프로그램으로 모의 실험하였다. 모의 실험 결과 최적 배치 방식은 3.6 배의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • 네트워크 코딩은 시스템에서 전송되는 패킷 개수를 줄여 성능향상을 줄 수 있기 때문에 기존 연구들은 네트워크 코딩 기회를 극대화하는 점에만 집중하였다. 하지만 각 소스노드가 채널상황을 고려하여 코딩을 수행하는 중간노드로 최대한 높은 속도로 전송하기 때문에 혼잡을 발생시킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 채널상황과 혼잡을 고려하여 이득이 확실한 경우에만 기회적으로 네트워크 코딩을 수행하는 기법을 제안했다. 중간노드는 코딩할 수 있는 네트워크 코딩 조합 중에서 데이터 손실과 혼잡을 최소화하고 전송횟수를 줄일 수 있는 목적함수를 동적프로그래밍을 통해 구하고 최적의 코딩 조합을 선택한다. 퀄넷 시뮬레이터를 활용한 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 기법이 기존 연구들에 비해서 최대 20% 성능향상이 있음을 증명했다.

Road Noise 개선을 위한 CAE 기반 DFSS Study (CAE-based DFSS Study for Road Noise Reduction)

  • In the early phase of vehicle development, CAE is conducted as tool for vehicle performance assessment. To maintain acceptable road noise performance, solution for reduced vehicle sensitivity is required. Chassis interface dynamic stiffness characteristics are key component to isolating vibration and noise of road from the vehicle interior. This research provide how to set up the optimized dynamic characteristics under noise effect through DFSS study. CAE-based DOE is performed to build prediction math model, CMS process involves DOE to achieve very fast run times while giving results very comparable. Minimized $95^{th}$ percentile of performance distribution is applied to minimize vehicle sensitivity and road noise levels variation during the optimization process. Finally, the results of optimization were reviewed for performance and robustness.
