Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of plantar flexor on muscle fatigue and endurance when two different sport tapes are applied. Design: Cross-sectional design. Methods: Fifty-one healthy adults were randomly assigned to dynamic taping group (n=17), kinesio taping group (n=17), and control group (n=17). The dynamic taping group used the dynamic tape. The kinesio tape group used the kinesio tape, and the control group doesn't used tape. Every group performed heel rise test and sEMG for every during pre-test and post-test. To evaluate plantar flexor endurance, the number of times was measured during the heel rise test. Results: The number of heel rises increased significantly in the post-test in dynamic taping group compared to the pre-test, and In comparison between groups, the number of heel rises significantly increased in dynamic taping group compared to kinesio taping group and control group. PEF value was significantly increased in the post-test compared to the pre-test in dynamic taping group, and there was a significant difference between the three groups according to the taping application. Conclusion: The results of this study confirmed that dynamic taping was effective in musclular fatigue and endurance on plantar flexor in healthy adults. Based on these results, it is suggested that the application of dynamic tape can be suggested as one of the intervention methods for muscle endurance and muscle fatigue.
Traditionally used analytical approach to predict the fatigue failure of reinforced concrete (RC) structure is generally conservative and has certain limitations. The nonlinear finite element method (FEM) offers less expensive solution for fatigue analysis with sufficient accuracy. However, the conventional implicit dynamic analysis is very expensive for high level computation. Whereas, an explicit dynamic analysis approach offers a computationally operative modelling to predict true responses of a structural element under periodic loading and might be perfectly matched to accomplish long life fatigue computations. Hence, this study simulates the fatigue behaviour of RC beams with finite element (FE) assemblage presenting a simplified explicit dynamic numerical solution to show computer aided fatigue behaviour of RC beam. A commercial FEM package, ABAQUS has been chosen for this complex modelling. The concrete has been modelled as a 8-node solid element providing competent compression hardening and tension stiffening. The steel reinforcements are simulated as two-node truss elements comprising elasto-plastic stress-strain behaviour. All the possible nonlinearities are duly incorporated. Time domain analysis has been adopted through an automatic Newmark-β time incremental technique. The program consists of twelve RC beams to visualize the real behaviour during fatigue process and to obtain the reliability of the study. Both the numerical and experimental results indicate a redistribution of stresses along the time and damage accumulation of beam which severely affect the serviceability and ultimate capacity of RC beam. The output of the FEM analysis demonstrates good match with the experimental consequences which affirm the efficacy of the computer aided model. The controlled fatigue damage evolution at service fatigue load limits makes the FE model an efficient tool in predicting high cycle fatigue behaviour of RC structures.
The major effective of this study is to investigate the fatigue effects of rail pad on High Speed Railway with concrete slab track system. It analyzed the mechanical behaviors of HSR concrete slab track with applying rail pad stiffness based on fatigue effect (hardening and increasing stiffness) on the 3-dimensional FE analysis and laboratory test for static & dynamic characteristics. As a result, the hardening of rail pad due to fatigue loading condition are negative effect for the static & dynamic response of concrete stab track which is before act on fatigue effect. The analytical and experimental study are carried out to investigate rail pad on fatigue effected increase vertical acceleration and stress and decrease suitable deflection on slab track. And rail pad based on fatigue effect induced dynamic maximum stresses, the increase of damage of slab track is predicted by adopting fatigue effected rail pad. after due consideration. The servicing HSR concrete slab track with resilient track system has need of the reasonable determination after due consideration fatigue effect of rail pad stiffness which could be reducing the effect of static and dynamic behavior that degradation phenomenon of structure by an unusual response characteristic and a drop durability.
Due to the scarcity of extortionate experimental data, fatigue failure of the reinforced concrete (RC) element might be achieved economically adopting nonlinear finite element (FE) analysis as an alternative approach. However, conventional implicit dynamic analysis is expensive, quasi-static method overlooks interaction effects and inertia, direct cyclic analysis computes stabilized responses. Apart from this, explicit dynamic analysis may provide a numerical operating system for factual long-term responses. The study explores the fatigue behavior based on a simplified explicit dynamic solution employing nonlinear time domain analysis. Among fourteen RC beams, one beam is selected to validate under static loading, one under fatigue with the experimental study and other twelve to check the detail fatigue behavior. The SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) analysis has been carried out to pinpoint the detail scenario in the adoption of numerical approach as an alternative to the experimental study. Excellent agreement of FE and experimental results is seen. The 3D nonlinear RC beam model at service fatigue limits is truthful to be used as an expedient contrivance to envisage the precise fatigue behavior. The simplified analysis approach for RC beam under fatigue offers savings in computation to predict responses providing acceptable accuracy rather than the complicated laboratory investigation. At higher frequency, the flexural failure occurs a bit earlier gradually compared to the repeated loading case of lower frequency. The deflection increases by 6%-10% at the end of first cycle for beams with increasing frequency of cyclic loading. However, at the end of fatigue loading, greater deflection occur earlier for higher load range because of more rapid stiffness degradation. For higher frequency, a slight boost in concrete compressive strains at an initial stage of loading has been seen indicating somewhat stepper increment. Stiffness degradation in larger loading cycle at same duration escalates the upsurge of the rate of strain in case of higher frequency.
In this paper we are particularly focusing on the dynamic crack fatigue life of a 25 m length wind turbine blade. The blade consists of composite materiel (glass/epoxy). This work consisted initially to make a theoretical study, the turbine blade is modeled as a Timoshenko rotating beam and the analytical formulation is obtained. After applying boundary condition and loads, we have studied the stress, strain and displacement in order to determine the critical zone, also show the six first modes shapes to the wind turbine blade. Secondly was addressed to study the crack initiation in critical zone which based to finite element to give the results, then follow the evolution of the displacement, strain, stress and first six naturals frequencies a function as crack growth. In the experimental part the laminate plate specimen with two layers is tested under cyclic load in fully reversible tensile at ratio test (R = 0), the fast fracture occur phenomenon and the fatigue life are presented, the fatigue testing exerted in INSTRON 8801 machine. Finally which allows the knowledge their effect on the fatigue life, this residual change of dynamic behavior parameters can be used to predicted a crack size and diagnostic of blade.

In this study, multibody dynamic and mechanical analyses were conducted for the structure of roller chain bucket elevator system. The fatigue life of the roller chain elevator system was determined under static and fatigue loadings. Results of multibody dynamic analysis suggested that the maximum contact force occurred at the drive sprocket engagement point with the roller chain due to maximum tension. Fatigue analysis results suggest that the high load roller chain system is durable and safe because its life time is more than 700,000 cycles, close to its designed value (1,000,000 cycle). However, the contact portion of plate and pin needed a safety factor. The dynamic analysis of the heavy load roller chain was conducted with a multibody dynamic analysis program. The results obtained in this study can be utilized for dynamic analysis of roller chain systems in all industries.

The purpose of this raper is to assess the benefits of frequency domain fatigue analysis and compare it with more conventional time domain techniques. The multi-body dynamic analysis, FE analysis and fatigue life prediction technique are applied for the frequency domain fatigue analysis. To obtain the dynamic load history used in the frequency domain fatigue analysis, the computer simulations running over typical road Profiles are carried out by utilizing vehicle dynamic model. The fatigue life estimation for the rear suspension system of small-sized passenger car is performed by using resonance durability analysis technique, and the estimation results are compared with the conventional quasi-static durability analysis results. For the pothole simulation, the percent changes, of the fatigue life between the two durability analysis techniques don't exceed 10%. But for the Belgian road simulation because of the resonance effect, the fatigue life using the resonance durability analysis technique are much smaller estimated than the quasi-static durability analysis results.

Even if the ball bearing was conservatively designed considering the dynamic capacity and the rating life, sometimes the bearing was early failed on account of the misalignment and the lubricant contaminations etc. Misalignment was generated when bearing-shaft system transmitted large power and when the bearing was inadequately mounted. It was possible to predict the fatigue life of ball bearing under the misalignment considering the motions of ball, cage and raceway, and the factors of the effect on fatigue life. Misalignment affected on ball bearing as radial and moment load and the relationships between misalignment and moment were obtained. In this paper, the analysis of the load distributions between ball and raceway, and the prediction of fatigue life of deep groove ball bearing under radial and moment loads were carried out. And, the new formulation of equivalent dynamic load considering the effects of moment load was proposed.

A FQI(fatigue quality index) analysis using the concept of SF(severity factor) is performed to various shape of elliptical hole. FQI is fatigue quality index to estimate the dynamic SF from static SF by finite element analysis. Since the SF is affected by the location of cutout in plate and radius ratio, static SF is analyzed with finite element method and forms the equation of FQI for predicting a dynamic SF. To examine the validity, dynamic SF is measured by photoelastics and thermalelastics for an epoxy resin plate with various elliptical holes under dynamic load.

In this paper, the effects of the system parameters on the high cycle fatigue life based on structural dynamic analysis of a turbine blade are investigated. Conventional studies have forcused on the fatigue life of turbine blades with specific system parameters. However, each parameter has statistical deviation because of inhomogeneity of material property, tolerance, and operating conditions. Therefore a methodology that estimates the effects of system parameter on the fatigue lift deviation is demonstrated.
