PURPOSES : The dynamic modulus for a specimen can be determined by using either the non-destructed or destructed testing method. The Impact Resonance Testing (IRT) is the one of the non-destructed testing methods. The MTS has proved the source credibility and has the disadvantages which indicate the expensive equipment to operate and need a lot of manpower to manufacture the specimens because of the low repeatability with an experiment. To overcome these shortcomings from MTS, the objective of this paper is to compare the dynamic modulus obtained from IRT with MTS result and prove the source credibility. METHODS : The dynamic modulus obtained from IRT could be determined by using the Resonance Frequency (RF) from the Frequency Response Function (FRF) that derived from the Fourier Transform based on the Frequency Analysis of the Digital Signal Processing (DSP)(S. O. Oyadigi; 1985). The RF values are verified from the Coherence Function (CF). To estimate the error, the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) method could be used. RESULTS : The dynamic modulus data obtained from IRT have the maximum error of 8%, and RMSE of 2,000MPa compared to the dynamic modulus measured by the Dynamic Modulus Testing (DMT) of MTS testing machine. CONCLUSIONS : The IRT testing method needs the prediction model of the dynamic modulus for a Linear Visco-Elastic (LVE) specimen to improve the suitability.
The application of adaptive finite element method to dynamic problems is investigated. Both the kinetic and strain energy errors induced by space and time discretization were estimated in a consistent manner and controlled by the simultaneous use of the adaptive mesh generation and the automatic time stepping. Also an optimal ratio of spatial discretization error to temporal discretization error was discussed. In this study it was found that the best performance can be obtained when the specified spatial and temporal discretization errors have the same value. Numerical examples are carried out to verify the performance of the procedure.

This paper presents a new dynamic human reliability analysis method and its application for quantifying the human error probabilities in implementing management action. For comparisons of current HRA methods with the new method, the characteristics of THERP, HCR, and SLIM-MAUD, which are most frequency used method in PSAs, are discussed. The action associated with implementation of the cavity flooding during a station blackout sequence is considered for its application. This method is based on the concepts of the quantified correlation between the performance requirement and performance achievement. The MAAP 3.0B code and Latin Hypercube sampling technique are used to determine the uncertainty of the performance achievement parameter. Meanwhile, the value of the performance requirement parameter is obtained from interviews. Based on these stochastic obtained, human error probabilities are calculated with respect to the various means and variances of the things. It is shown that this method is very flexible in that it can be applied to any kind of the operator actions, including the actions associated with the implementation of accident management strategies.
Strapdown inertial navigation system(SDINS) is a navigational instruments necessary to guide and con- trol a free vehicle. In this study, an error analysis of mechanical parts is carried out for manufacturing a dynamically tuned gyroscope. The errors usually come from the tolerance in machining and assembly. In the error analysis, a criterion to be considered during designing and manufacturing is proposed by quanti- tatively analyzing the effect of DTG performance by tolerances. The theory of dynamic balancing is deduced and unbalance is reduced through experiment.
The numerical techniques are presented to solve the static and dynamic contact problems of deformable bodies having large rotations of the contact surfaces. The contact conditions on the possible contact surfaces are enforced by using the contact error vector, and an iterative scheme similar to augmented Lagrange multiplier method is employed to reduce the contact error vector monotonically. For dynamic contact problems using implicit time integration, a contact error vector is also defined by combining the displacement, velocity, and acceleration on the contact surface. The suggested iterative technique is implemented to ABAQUS by using the UEL subroutine UEL. In this work, after the computing procedures to solve the frictional contact problems are explained, the numerical examples are presented to compare the present solutions with those obtained by ABAQUS.
Efficient development of method on a performance evaluation for machine tools has been regarded as the most important work for accuracy and quality enhancement to every user and manufacturer. A evaluation method of accuracy for machine tools has been studied recently according to the rapid increase of interest in precision machine tools. To this point of view, the circular interpolation test of machine tools is recognized as the most useful method to distinguish a dynamic accuracy of NC machine tools by ISO and ANSI/ASME, etc. In this paper, we have studied and developed the form measurement system with grid encoder to analyse the final accuracy of NC machine tools. we have analyzed the servo system error and geometric error of NC machine tools through measuring a dynamic error signal by this system. and then we verified the experimental result and enhanced the reliability by means of comparing the characteristics of the developed system with the kinematic ball-bar system.

The synchronous phasor measurement algorithm is the core content of the phasor measurement unit. This manuscript proposes a dynamic synchronous phasor measurement algorithm based on compressed sensing theory. First, a dynamic signal model based on the Taylor series was established. The dynamic power signal was preprocessed using a least mean square error adaptive filter to eliminate interference from noise and harmonic components. A Chirplet overcomplete dictionary was then designed to realize a sparse representation. A reduction of the signal dimension was next achieved using a Gaussian observation matrix. Finally, the improved orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm was used to realize the sparse decomposition of the signal to be detected, the amplitude and phase of the original power signal were estimated according to the best matching atomic parameters, and the total vector error index was used for an error evaluation. Chroma 61511 was used for the output of various signals, the simulation results of which show that the proposed algorithm cannot only effectively filter out interference signals, it also achieves a better dynamic response performance and stability compared with a traditional DFT algorithm and the improved DFT synchronous phasor measurement algorithm, and the phasor measurement accuracy of the signal is greatly improved. In practical applications, the hardware costs of the system can be further reduced.
This paper presents an automatic calibration technique for piezoelectric low pressure transducer, which is useful to measure a pressure within 500 psi. This system with automatic calibration function and error correction algorithm generates standard dynamic pressure for the calibration of sensor. With the compensation for the offset voltage and the pressure error, the accuracy and the usefulness of the proposed scheme is validated.

This paper discuss which new dynamic control method for robot arm. It is basedon nonlinear feedback and T transformation which externally linearizes the whole system and provides simultaneous output decoupling. The nonlinear feedback augmented with optimal error correcting controller, which operates on the task error level. Computer simulation were appled to evaluate the performance of new dynamic control method. The simulation results are discussed in detail.
