비선형 동적해석을 이용한 소규모 필로티형 철근콘크리트 건축물의 내진성능평가 (Seismic Performance Evaluation of Small-size Pilloti-type Reinforced Concrete Buildings using Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis)

  • Piloti-type building is one of typical vertical atypical buildings. These buildings can fail by weak-story or flexible-story mechanism on the first story. They should be designed by taking into account the special seismic load, but those less than six stories are not required to confirm the seismic performance from structural engineers in Korea. For this reason, small-size pilloti-type RC buildings need to be checked for seismic performance. Based on this background, this study performed nonlinear dynamic analysis using the PERFORM-3D for small-size pilloti-type RC buildings and assessed their seismic performance. Examples are two through four story buildings with and without walls in the first story. The walls and columns in the first story satisfied the target performance in the basic of flexural behavior due to quite a large size and reinforcement. However, wall shear demands exceed shear strength in some buildings. When designed for KBC2009, wall shear strength exceed shear demand in some buildings, but still does not in others. Consequently, wall shear must be carefully checked in both existing and new small-size pilloti-type RC buildings.

  • The high degree of uncertainty in customer demands forces companies of today to equip with a flexible and adaptable structural organization. It also has an influence on the configuration of the company's supply chains, since the members in supply chains are dependent to the goods customers need. If a company can not come up with the customers' requirements and their level of satisfaction, the competitiveness of the company will be weaken in the market places. To meet such conditions, therefore, reconfiguration of supply chains should be considered as an important factor in a complex, dynamic, and fluctuating market environment. In this paper, therefore, we have adapted a fractal concept to SCM to facilitate reconfiguration of supply chains. To do so, we have first introduce fractal-based SCM, referred to as fSCM. Then, we have described definitions of the reconfigurability in supply chains and the methodology of Dynamic Restructuring Process (DRP) in supply chains including specific strategies and constraints. An exemplary model will also be briefly illustrated to demonstrate how supply chains conduct DRP autonomously.

  • At the present time, container transportation plays a key role in the international logistics and the efforts to increase the productivity of container logistics become essential for Korean trucking companies to survive in the domestic as well as global competition. This study suggests an approach for determining fleet size for container road transportation with dynamic demand. Usually the vehicles operated by the transportation trucking companies in Korea can be classified into three types depending on the ways how their expenses occur; company-owned truck, mandated truck which is owned by outsider who entrust the company with its operation, and rented vehicle (outsourcing). Annually the trucking companies should decide how many company-owned and mandated trucks will be operated considering vehicle types and the transportation demands. With the forecasted monthly data for the volume of containers to be transported a year, a heuristic algorithm using tabu search is developed to determine the number of company-owned trucks, mandated trucks, and rented trucks in order to minimize the expected annual operating cost. The idea of the algorithm is based on both the aggregate production planning (APP) and the pickup-and-delivery problem (PDP). Finally the algorithm is tested for the problem how the trucking company determines the fleet size for transporting containers.

비디오 객체 정의에 의한 동적 증강 정보 저작 (Authoring of Dynamic Information in Augmented Reality Using Video Object Definition)

  • 증강현실에서 움직이는 가상 모델을 증강물로 활용하려면 대개 별도의 모델링이나 애니메이션 도구 사용이 필요하며 이는 매우 전문적이고 복잡한 작업이다. 본 논문에서는 그러한 과정 없이 동적 가상 객체를 증강 환경에 삽입할 수 있는 방법으로 비디오 객체 기반 저작 방법을 제시한다. 그랩컷과 그로컷을 통합 적용하여 대상물의 초기 영역을 분리한 후, 스냅컷을 이용해 프레임간 경계선 변화를 자동 추적하여 동작이 담긴 연속 프레임을 실사 비디오에 증강하는 방식이다. 실험결과로, 몇 단계의 메뉴 선택과 경계선 오류 정정 스케치만으로 특정 비디오 객체 컷아웃 및 증강 객체 저작이 가능함을 보였다.

Flow Divider Valve의 최적설계를 위한 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Characteristics Analysis for Optimal Design of Flow Divider Valve)

  • Flow divider valve는 한 개의 공급라인에서 두 개 이상의 출력라인으로 유압유를 일정비율로 분배하는 유압제어밸브로서 하중압력이나 공급압력 등에 관계없이 항상 일정비율의 유량분배가 가능해야 한다. 현재 상용제품의 유량분할 정확도는 90~95% 수준이며, 이러한 유량분할오차(Flow dividing error)는 유압시스템에 누적오차로 작용하여 많은 문제점을 야기시키고 있어 보다 고정밀 유량제어가 가능한 Flow divider valve 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 외력을 고려한 스푸울의 거동을 수치적으로 정확하게 조사하여 Flow divider valve의 동특성을 규명함과 동시에 유량분할 오차를 감소시키는 최적설계방안을 제시하고자 한다. 동특성 해석은 일정한 하중저항을 입력신호로 작용하는 경우에 대해서 제시하였으며, 이때의 고정오리피스와 가변오리피스의 단면적 및 스푸울의 단면적 변화에 따른 동특성의 변화를 조사하였다.

  • 본 논문은 이종 분산시스템을 위한 동적 부하균등 알고리즘을 제안하였다 본 알고리즘은 타스크들이 재배치할 수 있게 한다. 알고리즘의 핵심은 송신자로부터 수신자에게로 적절한 처리 요구량을 전송하는데 있다 본 전송량은 동적으로 송신자와 수신자간 협상과정에서 결정된다. 이러한 전송량이 결정될 때 고려되는 요소들은 다른 노드의 처리속도 현재 송신자와 수신자간의 부하상태, 재배치하기에 적절한 처리요구 등이다. 본 연구에서는 또한 이종시스템을 위해 특별히 설계된 부하상태 전략도 제안하였다. 연구결과는 제안한 알고리즘이 현존하는 알고리즘에 비해 뛰어난 성능을 보였고 시스템 속성이 다양한 측면에서 안정적이다.

  • This paper considers an inbound lot-sizing and outbound dispatching problem for a single product in a thirdparty logistics (3PL) distribution center. Demands are dynamic and finite over the discrete time horizon, and moreover, each demand has a delivery time window which is the time interval with the dates between the earliest and the latest delivery dates All the product amounts must be delivered to the customer in the time window. Ordered products are shipped by multiple vehicle types and the freight cost is proportional to the vehicle-types and the number of vehicles used. First, we formulate a mixed integer programming model. Since it is difficult to solve the model as the size of real problem being very large, we design a conventional genetic algorithm with a local search heuristic (HGA) and an improved genetic algorithm called adaptive genetic algorithm (AGA). AGA spontaneously adjusts crossover and mutation rate depending upon the status of current population. Finally, we conduct some computational experiments to evaluate the performance of AGA with HGA.

  • Sloshing loads, produced by the violent liquid free-surface motions inside the cargo tank have become an important design parameter in ship building industry since there have been demands for the increased sizes of the cargo containment system of LNG carriers. In this study, sloshing impact pressure acting on the shell of the spherical cargo tank of an LNG carrier as well as dynamic pressure and flow behavior around the pump tower located at the center of the tank have been calculated. Comparative numerical sloshing simulations for a spherical LNG tank using 2-D LR.FLUIDS which is based on the finite difference method and 3-D MSC.DYTRAN which is capable of calculating nonlinear fluid-structure interaction have been carried out. A method of calculating sloshing-induced dynamic loads and the subsequent structural strength analysis for pump tower of a spherical LNG carrier using MSC. DYTRAN and MSC.NASTRAN have been presented.

  • 최근 경주, 포항 인근에서 지진이 발생하여 대도시의 초고층 빌딩과 그에 인접한 지하구조물의 내진해석에 대한 사회적 요구가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 기존에 수행되어 왔던 대부분 내진해석 연구는 초고층 빌딩과 지하구조물을 개별적으로 분석하여 구조물간 동적 상호거동 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기반암과 표층으로 이루어진 지반에 건물과 인접 지하구조물이 설치된 복합지하시설물을 대상으로 지반과 구조물을 동시에 고려한 동적해석을 수행하였다. 특히 신뢰도를 높이기 위해 유사정적해석을 추가로 수행하여 동적해석 결과와 비교 분석하였다. 종합적으로 복합시설물에 대한 SSI 해석 시 인접 지하구조물을 고려하는 것이 보다 보수적인 방법이라고 결론 내렸다.

A simplified seismic design method for low-rise dual frame-steel plate shear wall structures

  • In this paper, a simplified seismic design method for low-rise dual frame-steel plate shear wall (SPSW) structures is proposed in the framework of performance-based seismic design. The dynamic response of a low-rise structure is mainly dominated by the first-mode and the structural system can be simplified to an equivalent single degree-of-freedom (SDOF) oscillator. The dual frame-SPSW structure was decomposed into a frame system and a SPSW system and they were simplified to an equivalent F-SDOF (SDOF for frame) oscillator and an equivalent S-SDOF (SDOF for SPSW) oscillator, respectively. The analytical models of F-SDOF and S-SDOF oscillators were constructed based on the OpenSees platform. The equivalent SDOF oscillator (D-SDOF, dual SDOF) for the frame-SPSW system was developed by combining the F-SDOF and S-SDOF oscillators in parallel. By employing the lateral force resistance coefficients and seismic demands of D-SDOF oscillator, the design approach of SPSW systems was developed. A 7-story frame-SPSW system was adopted to verify the feasibility and demonstrate the design process of the simplified method. The results also show the seismic demands derived by the equivalent dual SDOF oscillator have a good consistence with that by the frame-SPSW structure.
