국화 추출액을 이용한 염색직물의 염색성 및 항균성 (The Dyeability and Antibacterial Activity of Fabrics Dyed with Chrysanthemum indicum L. Extract)

  • This study shows the dyeability and antibacterial activity about cotton and silk fabrics dyed with Chrysanthem indicum L. In the case of dyeability, in the first, K/S value was shown comparatively high numerical value. The value of all test sample was over 20. In the next, in the case of colorfastness, the light colorfastness showed the lowest grade, the other colorfastness was relatively good. However there are some differences according to fabrics and mordants. In the case of antibacterial activity to Klebsielia pneumoniae, the cotton fabrics had the most antibacterial effect at the dyed fabrics that had been mordanted $CuSO_4$.$5H_2O$, and the silk fabrics had the most antibacterial effect at the dyed fabrics that had been mordanted $CuSO_4$.$5H_2O$.$Al_2$ and $(SO_4)_3$.

  • PET fabrics were cationized via photografting under continuous UV irradiation with a cationic monomer. The grafted PET was dyed with three acid dyes. Effect of dye concentration, dyeing time, temperature and pH on acidic dyeing of the cationized PET fabrics was assessed to find optimal dyeing condition. The cationized fabrics was successfully dyed at $75^{\circ}C$ under pH 5.5. However the dyeing sites of the grafted fabrics were nearly occupied above 5%owf dye concentration and the rapid exhaustion of the anionic dyes was observed. The dyeability of the cationized PET fabrics was increased proportionally with increasing percent grafting because of the introduction of ionic attraction between quaternary ammonium groups and acid dyes. Lower dyeability both at alkaline and pH 3 condition attributed to negative zeta potentials of the grafted fabrics and the reduced charge of the acid dyes respectively.

  • The dyeability and colorfastness of browning extracts from mushroom were investigated. The results of this study are as follows, 1. Browning extracts from mushroom exhibited dyeability to wool, nylon and silk. The wool and silk had the greatest K/S value at pH 4 and nylon at pH 5 2. Furthermore, the increase in K/S value corresponded to temperature, time, and the number of dyeing. 3. In most cases, the value of K/S was increased by mordant treatment. The treatment of pre-mordant caused the increase in K/S value depending on the concentration of mordant, but not in the color. Co.mordant and post-mordant treaments, however, showed various colors of YR, Y, and GY types of Munsell color wheel. 4. In the most cases, color fastness of light, drycleaning, laundry, sweat, rubbing was excellent.

천연염색시 면직물의 염색성 및 일광견뢰도 향상 -키토콜라와 FFC 후매염 처리- (Dyeability and Color Fastness to Light of Cotton Fabric in Natural Dyeing - Pretreatment with Chito-Colla and FFC Mordant -)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the dyeability and the color fastness to light of cotton fabric dyed with extraction of cinnamon cassia. Cotton fabric was pretreated with chito-colla to enhance the dyeability, and K/S values were compared chito-colla pretreated fabric and untreated fabric. In addition, to improve of color fastness to light of dyed fabric, it was used FFC compound as mordant. Also, it was measured SOD-liked activity of FFC compound and lifht fastness of dyed fabrics. The results are as follow; K/S value of cotton fabric pretreated with chito-colla(5%) was much more increased than untreated fabric. SOD-liked activity of FFC compound was observed over 70%. Light fastness of cotton fabric treated with FFC compound was 3~4 grades.

밤 외피 추출물을 이용한 면직물 염색에서의 두즙 전처리효과 (Reelection Device for Dyeability of Cotton Fabrics with Chestnut Husk Extract by Bean Sap Pre-treatment)

  • Chestnut trees have been used as a dyeing material, which are grow naturally, are cultivated all the area of Korea. So, there is abundant amount of the materials and they have better colorfastness than other natural dyeing materials. But chestnut husk extract is good at silk and wool fabrics, not cotton fabrics. That's why many methods using chestnut extraction for dyeing are being studied. But most of them depend on treatment method with chemical material which doesn't fit with the aim, using natural materials. Therefore in this research, we used protein pre-treatment method which is dyeing chestnut husk extract after treating at cotton fabrics with bean sap. And we studied the effect of dyeability of chestnut husk extract to cotton fabrics. As a result of pre-treatment of bean sap at cotton fabrics, dyeability was increased. Besides laundering fastness, dry cleaning fastness, perspiration fastness and light fastness were almost increased.

PET 섬유의 캐리어 염색에 관한 연구 (A study on the Carrier Dyeing for PET Fiber)

  • 효과적인 캐리어로 알려진 벤질알콜, 벤즈알데히드, 아세트 페놀을 사용하여 PET섬유를 분산염료로 염색함에 있어 캐리어 종류에 따른 염색성 특히 혼합용매의 효과를 평가하고 아울러 일광견뢰도, 세탁견뢰도, 인장강도와 같은 염색후의 물성변화에 대해 연구 검토하였다. 실험결과 벤즈알데히드와 아세트페놀의 혼합용매에서 가장 우수한 염색성을 보였으며 효과적인 캐리어 작용은 일광견뢰도 및 인장강도와 같은 물성을 크게 떨어뜨리는 결과를 가져왔다.

지의류로부터 제조한 염액의 직물에 대한 염색성 (Dyeability of Fabrics in Lichen Dyebath)

  • Silk and cotton fabrics were dyed with Parmelia tinctorium that is a kind of lichen. Dyeing solution was prepared by fermentation in aqueous ammonia solution. The effects of pH and temperature in dyebath on dyeability were investigated. The maximum K/S value of each dyed fabrics was showed in 480nm. Silk fabrics showed better dyeability than cotton. Silk fabrics dyed well in acidic or neutral dyebath at $80^\circ{C}$ and cotton fabrics in neutral dyebath at $50^\circ{C}$. Both of silk and cotton fabrics showed poor dyeability in basic dyebath because of colouring anionic groups in lichen. The Munsell values of dyed silk fabrics were appeared in R(red) range, and them of cotton fabrics in YR(yellow-red) range. Light fastnesses of dyed fabrics were as poor as 2 or 2-3 grades. Also, Laundering fastnesses of dyed silk fabrics were as poor as 2 grade and those of cotton fabrics were 3 or 3-4 grades. But dry-cleaning fastnesses of all dyed fabrics were good.

아선약의 염색성과 기능성(제1보) -아선약 색소의 특성과 면섬유에 대한 염색성- (Dyeability and functionality of Catechu(Part I) -Characteristics of Catechu and Dyeing properties of Cotton-)

  • Catechu is widely used as in natural dyeing as well as in various medicines and tannage. This study investigated the dyeing properties and functionality of Catechu through a series of dyeing experiments using cotton fabric. It was shown that the absorbance of Catechu solution has two peaks at 220nm and 280nm. Thus, it can be concluded that the color constituent of Catechu is a catechol tannin and color tone is YR. The dyeability of Catechu increases as the concentration of the dye is increased. Its variation was shown to be similar to the isothermal absorption curve of the Freundlich. As dyeing time was increases, the dyeability did not change significantly after the 30 minute mark was passed. At high temperatures the dyeability was shown to increase. As the dyeing temperature was increased the color of dyeing fabrics changes from Y and YR to R. Experiments with pre-mordanting method showed that various colors can be obtained using Catechu. Cotton is effective in using K, Cu, Fe mordants, and the dyeability was shown to be improved with low pH. Both washing fastness and light fastness were shown to be low. However, the fabric color gradually changed to red was due to mailard reaction of catechol tannin causing by repeated washing and sunlight. The ultraviolet-cut ability was improved for cotton fabric dyed with Catechu. Also, dyed fabric with Catechu showed very good antimicrobial abilities at 99.9%.

한국산 유색미 속겨의 안토시아닌 색소에 의한 견직물염색 (Silk Dyeing Method in Natural Pigments - In Case of Korean Colored Rice Bran -)

  • This research was conducted to establish the efficient use of the colored rice bran fur dyeing textiles. To investigate the fabric dyeability of the colored rice bran extract, the anthocyanin pigments were extracted with water of different temperature ranges of 40 ~ 8$0^{\circ}C$ and were dyed on silk fabrics with different dyeing temperature $25^{\circ}C$~6$0^{\circ}C$, at acidic pH and neutral pH, respectively. Aluminum chloride was preheated with mordant K/S value and dyeing fastness of dyed silk fabrics were examined. The anthocyanins of the colored rice bran were stable and red color at acidic pH, red purple or purple blue at neutral pH, but unstable, blue color at alkaline pH. If extracting temperature and dyeing temperature of dyeing solution were higher, the dyeability was high, but the color of dyed fabric showed red tone. When extracting temperature was 8$0^{\circ}C$ and dyeing temperature of dyeing solution was 6$0^{\circ}C$, the dyeability was best. Without mordant, the dyeability of silk fabrics was higher in acidic pH than in neutral pH solution. With mordant, the dyeability was higher than without mordant, and also higher in acidic pH. Pretreatment of aluminum chloride resulted in the increase of color intensity and stability. The laundering fastness of dyed fabrics was good from grade 5 to grade 3-4. Because of the anthocyanins sensitivity on light radiation, the light fastness of dyed fabrics was poor from grade 3 to grade 1-2.

쑥을 이용한 천연염색의 염색성과 항균성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dyeability and Antibiotic Activities of Natural Dyeing with Artemisia)

  • This study purposes to find the best one for dyeing with artemisia in order to develop a more efficient method of dyeing with artemisia and investigates the antibiotic activities of artemisia. After dyeing cotton, rayon, silk, wool and nylon fabrics with dyebath extracted from artemisia, observation on dyeability by temperature, concentration and time has been carried out. And I took an observation on color change, color fastness to washing and color fastness to light after mordanting treatment. Also observation on the antibiotic properties of non-dyed fabrics, artemisia-dyed fabrics and artemisia-dyed fabrics with post-mordant has been performed to investigate the antibiotic activities of artemisia. And the following results have been obtained. 1. The dyeability of artemisia was better for protein fabrics such as silk or woo and amide-based synthetic fabrics like nylon than for cellulose fabrics such as cotton and rayon. 2. For all tested fabrics, the dyeability was increased as the concentration of artemisia dyebath, dyeing time and dyeing temperature was increased. Especially the dye ability for protein fabrics was most affected by the temperature, and high dyeability was obtained at high temperatures. 3. For the color fastness of artemisia-dyed fabrics with mordanting treatment, the color fastness to washing was good with grade of 4-5 while the color fastness to light ranged from grade 2 to grade 3, which requires improvement for practical use. 4. The artemisia-dyed fabrics were shown to have much higher antibiosis than the non-dyed fabrics, and the artemisia-dyed fabrics with mortanting treatment showed the following result; Cu 99.9%, Al 64% and bittern 64.7%.
