The purpose of this study is to scrutinize the change of Korean dwelling space terms, and confirm the value of literature as data for a study on dwelling space terms. The terms, which describe the dwelling space, were selected in 63 Korean literature. The terms about rooms, working spaces, space for physiology and hygienic, and storage spaces, were analyzed. The terms about rooms were classified by a constituent unit of traditional housing, location, size, function, and so on. Among them, the number of terms about function had increased more and more. These terms were changed by housing size, housing form, structure of house and household, family size, and so on. It was confirmed that literatures have utility values for a study on change of dwelling space terms. In next study, it is required to analyze the meaning and usage of Korean dwelling space terms, and to compare terms in floorplans with terms in literature.

This study puroses to grasp the change of dwelling space by the change of family organization according to the change of population in the rural area of suburbs of city that suppose to receive the influence of the city. The method of this study is to collect data about form village houses in monographs and reference books and study change factor of houses. To the selected village we will interview local inhabitants and officials and observe and survey the farm village houses by visiting houses. Through the research results we will know the change of population organization that cause the change of room utilization. We know that village pepole have living articles in dwelling space. We expect that the farm village houses will become city houses only in the dwelling space. So the suburban farm houses must be planned as in relation with the city.

The purpose of this study is to fined out the characteristics of using & change of the residential space according to the children age and family life cycle. The results of this study are as follows: The first, as children grow up, children's activity space changed from living room to the private room, and housing condition was related to the frequency of each activity. The second, as children grow up, family's sleeping pattern changed, and this change effected the number of private rooms for sleeping and the use of the extra room. The third, changes of the using of dwelling space come out several pattern, increasing bedroom number through reconstruction, exchange of An-band and children room, parents' sleeping space move to living room, and change the function of rooms. The change pattern of the correspondence to the housing needs differed from each family life cycle stage.

This study is focusing on the Nagan Folk Village, primarily because of its historical and cultural values. The purpose of this study, accordingly, analysis the fact of the dwelling change through spot-survey and case-investigation, and is to find a way to improve for the rational preservation of the traditional dwelling analyzing on the actual condition and the reason for such changes in the Nakan Folk Village. The dwelling change is stemmed from the physical factors, and some modifications of internal composition, exterior formation, building equipment. As a result, The changes of internal composition are included in the reduction of garnering room, the enlargement of bed/service room, the establishment of mechanical room. The changes of exterior formation with structural material are included in the glass door for the internalization of 'TOEMARU', the extra glass door for the brightening of room, the cement plastering for the endurance of wall. The changes of building equipment are included in the establishment of oil-boiler, wash closet, sink for convenient life All houses should be graded on their qualitative value, managed in a cycle. And its own criterion for acceptable deformations should be established.

Since Modern period which is characterized by the governing of technology and capitalism, the production and aesthetics of building became a main issue of architectural discourse. Morever, Modern architecture tends to be a kind of media in which the visual image of building plays a far more important role than building itself. Institutionalized discipline of Architecture in modern system set aside the dwelling aspect of building and destructed close relationship between dwelling and building. This study analyzes the essential meaning of dwelling with a viewpoint of building and vise virsa in order to have a deep reflection on contemporary architecture and modern crisis of dwelling. For this purpose this study first reviewed linguistic and mythical narratives on the origin of dwelling and building. Secondly, reviewed the thought of Heidegger on dwelling and building and his thinking on authenticity of dwelling. Thirdly, reviewed drastic change of idea and reality of dwelling recent days, especially from settlement to nomad. Lastly reviewed E. Levinas' thinking on bodily dwelling or primordial mode of dwelling before poetic dwelling of Heidegger. With these review we can figure out following things on dwelling and building. Physical building or its visual image can not take the place of dwelling in itself. Dwelling and Building happens simultaneously and understood as an event in life world. Today's alienation of dwelling from building reduced our conception of architecture to a physical setting and mere technique. Building must be a ontological and cultural phenomenon beyond physical building. Nomad in this age of information and globalization may be a new mode of dwelling. But it can not exclude traditional way of dwelling on concrete space, because human being as a physical being can not abandon dwelling place that gives a primordial comfort with and within our body.

The purpose of this study is to examine the changes of housing characteristics between dwellings occupied by two and more households and one household occupying dwellings over 10 years using the Population and Housing Censuses in 1985, 1990, and 1995. One dwelling for each household, referred to the ratio of the number of dwellings to the number of households, has been one of the most important housing goals in Korea. The results indicated that the ratio of dwellings occupied by one household as well as that of households occupying one dwelling by oneself have been increased since 1985. However, the number of dwellings occupied by two and more households have been decreased but the number of households who share one dwelling with other households have never been decreased. One dwelling for each household has been mainly increased by the multifamily attached dwellers in urban residences. Single-family dettached dwellings in the urban area are the most often shared with other households. Housing policymakers should consider not only the rapidly increasing single households but also renters shared one dwelling with others mostly homeowners of single-family dettached dwellings.

The purpose of this study is to understand a view in the light of sequence by human\\`s moving by quantitatively dealing with the elements of sequence view of multiple dwelling zone and to explain its characteristics. As a result, this study found that the sequence view of multiple dwelling zone makes difference according to the degree of sequential changes, layout form, width and moving interval in the zone, as well as view elements outside the zone. The changes in view elements are also treated qualitatively in comparing each multiple dwelling zone in order to explain the characteristics of view of multiple dwelling zone using their mean value and change coefficient.

This study is a preference reversal about a policeman image and evaluation by roadside higher stories meeting dwelling pot to the center, and it is an examination, the thing that it analyzed by proposals. Also, it was arranged the parallel that older brother was parallel in the printing which was monotonous if I wore 1, and the pot that time a little shielding anger was high was evaluated because preference anger was low. Therefore, consideration about a the number of layers interval change must be in order a higher stories meeting dwelling pot reduces that I go for a closing of crossways in the future, and to be able to feel variety with a form enemy.

The perceptual change and reproduction process of a space is distinguished from the difference between the Modem Times and the digitalized Post-modem Times. According to this changing aspect, the dwelling. concept is also progressed toward the escapeness from the regularly standardized settlement. But, as written above, the escapable dwelling behavior pattern is re-territorizated through new restriction and domination system. Among the newly re-territorized dwelling areas, the virtual space that included human being's equal in the contemporary meaning has already been on the surface in our daily life, it has been enlarging into all kinds of activity. The virtual space has the possibility to extend beyond a already well-used to physical space and time unlimitedly. But, owing to the ambiguous boundary between the real space and the virtual space, it is getting more important to define the spatial substance in the Digital Age. From now on, especially, the academical fields like a Architecture and a Interior Design that dealed with a living space have to give it a great shot. What I really want to say is that various approach about the space itself with the help of many sorts of so-called a Case Study could be a diversity & uniqueness out of a typical point of view about the study handling on space and time.

The goal of this research is to analyze interrelationship for layout of dwelling house and variation of its side plane by introducing concept of space in order to address as to how Korean traditional houses had been formed and varied in the middle of advancing modern city. In addition, this paper also has its meaning in a way that it identified how Korean traditional houses have been changed, and thus make residents more comfortable to live there by reviving their past characteristics, and make users have traditional food culture. Targeted area for this paper is limited to south-eastern area of Daegu such as Namsanjung, Myeongchijung, Sijangjung, Shinjung and Dalsungjng which was group dwelling houses of people of Chosun Dynasty during Japanese colonial rule' era ($1910{\sim}1945$). Among those places, the paper has chosen a place where Korea traditional houses were well preserved, variation of road and fields was less 1930s, and residential type is easy to effectively compared. As the result of this research, time when traditional cities were changed into new type of city residential area is believed to be around 1930s, and traditional residential area, through its transitional process, is believed to be changed to modern residential area. It also indicates that change of organizational road and fields directly had influence on change of houses.
