  • Selective Catalytic Reduction is effective in the reduction of NOx emission. This research focused to evaluate the performance of a urea-SCR system and was conducted in two procedures. One is SCR reactor test using model gas in order to provide an optimal injection condition itself. In this step, some parametric study on emission temperature, space velocity, aspect ratio and the formation of urea spray were made by using flow visualization and Computation Fluid Dynamics techniques. The basic simulation results contributed in determining the layout for an actual engine test. The other is an engine performance and emission test. The urea injector was placed at the opposite direction of exhaust gases emitted into an exhaust duct and an optimal amount of a reducing agent is estimated accurately under different engine loads and speeds. Furthermore, the variation of NOx emission and applied amount of urea was investigated in terms of modes under the condition of with and without SCR, and other emissions such as PM, CO and NMHC were evaluated quantitatively as well. This research may provide fundamental data for the practical use of urea-SCR in future.

  • Net neutrality, which has not been a problem, has recently become a problem for ISPs (Internet Service Providers), and their complaints have been paid by domestic platform companies, but overseas global IT companies such as Google and YouTube, generate huge revenues from domestic markets. In this situation, domestic IT companies claim that it is natural to impose more expensive charges or restrict speed on users who generate huge traffic. On the other side, however, the telecommunication network has become an essential public good that is essential to our everyday life, and because it has been given a monopoly position by a private company to efficiently respond to the explosive demand for telecommunication services, It is necessary to provide equal and universal service and fulfill public duty. In this paper, we deal with the network neutrality problem, focusing on the price elasticity between the CP (Contents Provider) and the ISP, rather than the user who is one side of the two-sided market for the already saturated satellites communication market. We present a game model that determines the optimal price for each platform by Nash equilibrium and analyze how the net neutrality affects CP according to the change of exogenous variables through the proposed game model.

  • When library performance is regarded as service quality, competency in human resources should be considered as an influential factor. This study aims to identify relationships between job satisfaction of librarians and the service quality that users recognize in public libraries. Librarians and users in 10 public libraries in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi province were sampled to measure job satisfaction and service quality with $LibQUAL+^{TM}$ model. As a result, the higher the satisfaction of the duty itself and organizational factor show a high service quality. Consequently, to improve library customer satisfaction, the librarian's job satisfaction should be considered. Additionally, some practical implications are discussed.

  • Low Cost Carrier(LCC)s in Asia Pacific market are expected to record high growth due to the expansion of Open Sky Policy among Korea, Japan, China and South East Asia. As everybody is aware of, LCC is not only saving flight cost but also creates differentiating business model by reducing unnecessary services such as F&B and in-flight duty free sales services. Booming LCCs in Asian market will cause not only Incheon airport but also other local airports in Korea to compete heavily to attract LCCs. For example, Air Asia Group with more than 200 fleet has expanded its alliance network throughout Asia. Therefore this paper has researched a new business model operating a LCC terminal for the hub airport competitiveness. According to analysis result of case study, it was found out, considering increasing airline demand next decade, Incheon airport and other domestic airports in Korea had better change an existing terminal into a LCC Terminal(LCCT) to differentiate airport services and expand its hub network. That is because of economic feasibility, first of all, of securing hub and spoke networking capabilities with airlines and finally of developing commercial facilities customizing LCC passengers' demand.

  • A three-phase, three-switch, and three-level boost-type PWM rectifier (Vienna rectifier) is proposed as an active front-end power factor correction (PFC) rectifier for telecom loads. The proposed active front-end PFC rectifier system is modeled by the switching cycle average model. The relation between duty ratios and DC link capacitor voltages is derived in terms of the system input currents. Furthermore, the feasible switching states are identified and applied to the proposed system to reduce the switching stress and DC ripples. A detailed equivalent circuit analysis of the proposed front-end PFC rectifier is conducted, and its performance is verified through simulations in MATLAB. Simulation results are verified using an experimental setup of an active front-end PFC rectifier that was developed in the laboratory. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the improved power quality parameters that are in accordance with the IEEE and IEC standards.

  • A status of air traffic controller is a government officer and air traffic controllers who work at airport are divided by duty rating and work experience. Abiding by law, rules and regulation, air traffic controllers are working together based on mutual trust. This paper's theoretical background is based on cultural bias theory. The theory divide people group into four groups according to cultural bias such as fatalism, hierarchy, individualism and egalitarianism. A research model was designed how such four cultural bias could affect air traffic controller's risk response in case of emergency or abnormal situation during their work. Depend on empirical research, it was found that air traffic controllers perceived they had been more biased to fatalism than hierarchy. The characteristics of fatalism group are as follows: first of all, they follow rigid rules and regulation. However, they have less self-efficacy compared to other government officers. According to structural equation model, air traffic controller's fatalism had a significant negative effect on organizational royalty. Their royalty, however, had a very significant positive effect on planning response and immediate response.

  • Urea-SCR system is currently regarded as promising NOx reduction technology for diesel engines. SCR system has to achieve maximal NOx conversion in combination with minimal $NH_3$ slip. In this study, model based open loop control for urea injection was developed and assessed in the European Transient Cycle (ETC) for heavy duty diesel engine. On the basis of the transient modeling, the kinetic parameters of the $NH_3$ adsorption and desorption are calibrated with the experimental results performed over the zeolite based catalyst. $NH_3$ storage or surface coverage of SCR catalyst can not be measured directly and has to be calculated, which is taken into account as a control parameter in this model. In order to reduce $NH_3$ slip while maintaining NOx reduction, $NH_3$ storage control algorithm was applied to correct the basic urea quantity. If the actual $NH_3$ surface coverage is higher than the maximal $NH_3$ surface coverage, the urea injection quantity is significantly reduced in the ETC cycle. By applying this logic, the resulting $NH_3$ slip peak can be avoided effectively. With optimizing the kinetic parameters based on standard SCR reaction, it suggests that a simplified, less accurate model can be effective to evaluate the capability of model based control in the ETC cycle.

  • Information technology is being applied to the development of ubiquitous healthcare system, which provides both efficient patient care and convenient treatment regardless of patient's location. However, the increasing number of users and medical information give rise to the problem of user management and the infringement of privacy. In order to address this problem we propose a user access scheme based on the RBAC (Role Based Access Control) model. The preceding trust management model for Grid security, FAS(Federation Agent Server), was analyzed and extended to provide supplementary functions for role-based access control in u-Healthcare system. The RBAC model provides efficient user management and access control, but very vulnerable in case when one with valid role tries to leak confidential inner medical information. In order to resolve this problem, a RBAC-WS (Work Status with RBAC) model has been additionally developed which allows only qualified staffs to access the system while on duty. Th proposed RBAC and RBAC-WS model have been merged together and applied to the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).

  • Role-based Access Control(RBAC) model has advantage of easy management of access control with constraints such as permission inheritance and separation of duty in role hierarchy. However, previous RBAC studies could not properly reflect the real-world organization structure with its role hierarchy. User who is a member of senior role can perform all permissions because senior role inherits all permissions of junior roles in the role hierarchy. Therefore there is a possibility for senior role members to abuse permissions due to violation of the least privilege principle. In this paper, we present a new model of role hierarchy, which restricts the unconditional permission inheritance. In the proposed model, a role is divided into sub roles(unconditional inheritance. restricted inheritance, private role), keeping organization structure in corporate environment. With restricted inheritance, the proposed model prevents permission abuse by specifying the degree of inheritance in role hierarchy.
