차량 누적거리에 의한 연비 특성 연구 (Study on Fuel Economy Characteristics by Cumulative Distance of Vehicle)

  • The vehicle label fuel economy is used as an energy management indicator nationwide. It induces technology development of automobile manufacturers and plays a role of providing information when purchasing a consumer vehicle. However, consumers who purchase a new vehicle continued to complain that the label fuel economy is different from the mandatory fuel economy rate. The domestic fuel economy measurement method is the same as the North American measurement method. The results of the two test modes (urban (FTP-75 mode), highway (HWFET mode)) are calculated in five test modes reflecting various environmental conditions and driving patterns 5-cycle correction formula is used which is equivalent to the fuel efficiency value. In this study, to solve the consumers' curiosity about the fuel economy of new vehicle, we use domestic fuel economy measurement method to measure the new car condition within 150 km of driving distance and the cumulative driving distance condition of domestic label fuel economy test vehicle. A comparative evaluation of fuel economy was carried out for a durability vehicle of $6,500{\pm}1,000km$. A result, mean value of the fuel economy of the four gasoline vehicles increased by 2.7 % in the city center mode and by 2.5 % in the highway mode in the durable vehicle compared new vehicle. And in the case of the diesel vehicle it increased by 2.5 % and 3.9 % respectively. The harmful exhaust gas emitted from the vehicle also resulted in more emissions of both gasoline and diesel vehicles in new vehicles. It is considered that the increase of the frictional force of the vehicle driving system and the lubricating oil system would have an effect on the reduction of the fuel economy of the new vehicle, and it was found that the fuel economy and the exhaust gas were improved by proper cumulative distance (domesticate) to the new vehicle.

미고결 퇴적암 터널에서의 암반분류 및 보강에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Rock Mass Classifications and Reinforcement in Unconsolidated Sedimentary Rock Tunnel)

  • 본 연구에서는 미고결 퇴적암을 통과하는 국내 최초 터널현장을 대상으로 시공현장의 시추코어를 이용하여 정량적인 슬레이크 내구성 시험과 점하중 강도시험을 통하여 미고결 퇴적암에 대한 정량적인 평가 방법을 제시하고 고결 정도에 따른 적절한 굴착 및 보강방법 등을 제안하고자 한다. 슬레이크 내구성 지수의 경우 3-cycle에서 변화량이 수렴되어 내구성을 구분하는 기준으로 $Id_3$ 값을 사용함이 합리적인 것으로 분석되었으며, 미고결 퇴적암의 $Id_3$ 평균값은 71.80, 점하중 시험결과 평균 일축압축강도 값은 10.8 MPa로 측정되었다. 실험 결과를 분석하여 일축압축강도, 고결상태, 막장확인, 습윤상태, 슬레이크 내구성 지수($Id_3$)를 포함하고 있는 미고결 퇴적암 터널 시공 시 적용 가능한 암반분류 기준을 제안하였다. 또한, 미고결 퇴적암 터널에 적합한 3가지 유형의 지보패턴을 제시하였고, 이는 시공 중인 터널의 내공변위 계측자료를 분석하여 적정성을 검토하였다.

붕산농축폐액 유리화 타당성 연구 (Feasibility Study on the Vitrification of Concentrated Boric Acid Waste)

  • 가압경수로 원전의 농축폐액건조설비에서 발생된 농축폐액 건조물을 유리화 하는 방안이 연구되어 왔다. 중저준위 방사성폐기물을 유리화할 경우 최종 생성물은 내구성이 우수하고 현저한 부피저감 효과의 장점을 가지고 있다. 붕산농축폐액에 대한 유리화 타당성 연구는 분말시료의 전처리 방법 개발, 유리조성 프로그램을 이용한 유리개발 및 실증시험으로 수행되었다. 분말시료에 대한 전처리 방안으로는 유리화설비에 투입하기 전에 고형성을 갖도록 펠렛화하는 것이다. 농축폐액 성분중 Na와 B의 함량 분포는 유리속에 용융되는 정도와 설비로부터의 폐기물 배출 처리에 영향을 주기 때문에 이를 고려하여 유리조성이 개발되어야 한다. 실증시험에서는 폐기물 투입률, 배기체 특성 및 최종 생성물인 유리고화체의 특성이 검토되었다. 본 연구는 붕산농축폐액에 대한 유리고화체의 물리화학적 특성을 검토하고 유리화 타당성을 확인하는데 목적이 있다.

볏짚재 콘크리트의 동결융해 저항성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Freezing and Thawing Resistance of Rice Straw Ash Concrete)

  • The purpose of this experiment is to estimate freezing and thawing resistance of rice straw ash concrete. Test results show that mass, pulse velocity and relative synamic modulus of elasticity are gradually decreased with increase of freezing and thawing cycle. The durability factor(DF) is in the range of 85.48 ∼86.33 in the rice straw ash comcrete with 2.5% , 5% 7.5%, rice straw ash and higher than that of thenormal cement concrete. But, DF of 10% , 12.5%, 15% rice straw ash filled rice straw ash concrete is in the range of 41.26∼65.34 and lower than that of the normal cement concrete.

QUALITY STABILIZATION OF BALL SEAT IN AUTOMOTIVE SUSPENSION PARTS

  • Recently, many solution have been suggested to development of plastic products. Among many manufacturing technologies for plastic parts, the injection molding process is very attractive because of its low production cost and short cycle time. In this paper, the plastic ball seat of a ball joint, one of the essential components for automotive suspension or steering system, was studied to enhance its mechanical performance and durability by using PA66 that is reinforced polymeric plastic resin. But ball seat has some trouble in manufacture process. And strength of molded part is not enough to use. For the quality stabilization and reliability of injection molded parts, we designed the mold cavities through analytical simulation software and tested the mechanical performance for the injection molded ball-seat parts. After modification, tensile strength increases by about $13.5\%$. Strength and quality stabilization is improved.

나노 흡착제가 Li/S 이차전지용 유황양극의 전기화학적 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Nano-sized Adsorbing Material on the Electrochemical Properties of Sulfur Cathode for Lithium/Sulfur Secondary Battery)

  • A battery based on the lithium/elemental sulfur redox couple has the advantage of high theoretical specific capacity of 1,675 mAh/g-sulfur. However, Li/S battery has bad cyclic durability at room temperature due to sulfur active material loss resulting from lithium polysulfide dissolution. To improve the cycle life of Li/S battery, PEGDME (Poly(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether) 500 containing 1M LiTFSI salt which has high viscosity was used as electrolyte to retard the polysulfide dissolution and nano-sized $Mg_{0.6}Ni_{0.4}O$ was added to sulfur cathode as additive to adsorb soluble polysulfide within sulfur cathode. From experimental results, the improvement of the capacity and cycle life of Li/S battery was observed( maximum discharge capacity : 1,185 mAh/g-sulfur, C50/C1 = 85 % ). Through the charge-discharge test, we knew that PEGDME 500 played a role of preventing incomplete charge-discharge $behavior^{1,2)$. And then, in sulfur dissolution analysis and rate capability test, we first confirmed that nano-sized $Mg_{0.6}Ni_{0.4}O$ had polysulfide adsorbing effect and catalytic effect of promoting the Li/S redox reaction. In addition, from BET surface area analysis, we also verified that it played the part of increasing the porosity of sulfur cathode.

초음파 속도 측정을 통한 동결·융해 작용을 받는 시멘트 모르타르의 공극 구조 예측 (Prediction for Pore Structure of Cement Mortar Exposed to Freezing-Thawing Action by Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Measurement)

  • 본 연구에서는 초음파 속도 측정 실험을 이용하여 동결 융해 작용을 받는 시멘트 모르타르의 동탄성 계수 및 공극 구조 변화를 평가하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 초음파 속도는 동결융해 시험 중 매 30cycle마다 시편을 꺼낸 후 측정하였으며, MIP를 이용한 porosity 분석도 수행하였다. 초음파 속도 측정 결과를 이용하여 동탄성계수를 계산한 결과 300cycle 이후 약 13%가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. porosity는 초기에 대비해서 약 30%가량 증가하였으며, 초음파 속도 측정으로부터 계산된 porosity는 MIP를 통해 측정한 porosity와 약 5~30% 차이를 보였지만 유사한 증가 경향을 보이는 것으로 확인되었다. 이를 통해 초음파 속도 측정 결과를 이용하여 시멘트 모르타르의 porosity 변화를 예측하는 것은 타당한 방법으로 볼 수 있으며, 이를 이용하여 확산계수 등 내구성 평가 지수를 예측할 수 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

2 리터급 터보과급 가솔린 기관에서 내장형 WGV가 기관 성능에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Embedded WGV on the Engine Performance for a 2-liter Turbo-charged Gasoline Engine)

  • The turbocharger, to decrease the harmful exhaust gas(CO, HC and etc.) and $CO_2$ emission as well as the increase of the engine output, would be an useful method for engine downsizing. Therefore the thermal endurance of turbine blade, the lubrication of turbine shaft and the engine knock according to the supercharge of the inlet air, had been studied. And there had been much progress in these research tasks to be achieved a breakthrough. But a study on the built-in WGV of a gasoline engine for a passenger car which may effect on the engine performance, is few. In this paper, the effect of the embedded WGV on the engine performance was performed through the endurance test, which was conducted more than 300 hrs using the 4 stroke, 1998 cc, water-cooled engine. To sum up the major results, there were an abrasion in the area of the WGV head edge and the thermal deformation on the WGV head face, These phenomena led to reducing the boost pressure which caused the reduction in the volumetric efficiency of the engine. It resulted in decreasing the engine power gradually during the life cycle of the embedded WGV.

MR 브레이크의 내구성에 따른 제어성능평가 (Control Performance Evaluation of MR Brake Depending on Durability)

  • This paper presents performance comparison results of magneto-rheological (MR) brake in the sense of wear characteristics. To create wear circumstance, the brake is operated in 100 000 cycles by DC motor. To make wear test in same design parameters such as the radius of the housing, ferromagnetic disc and gap size, small sample of stainless are inserted in housing of MR brake. The performances of brake are compared between the initial stage (no wear) and 100 000 revolution cycles operated stage (wear). At each circumstance, torque of the brake is measured and compared by applying step current and sinusoidal control input. The controller used in this work is a simple, but effective PID controller. It is demonstrated that the wear behavior is more obvious as the operating cycle is increased in the torque control process.

Temperature and humidity effects on behavior of grouts

  • Grouts compared to other material sources, could be highly sensitive to cold weather conditions, especially when the compressive strength is the matter of concern. Grout as one the substantial residential building material used in retaining walls, rebar fixation, sidewalks is in need of deeper investigation, especially in extreme weather condition. In this article, compressive strength development of four different commercial grouts at three temperatures and two humidity rates are evaluated. This experiment is aimed to assess the grout strength development over time and overall compressive strength when the material is cast at low temperatures. Results represent that reducing the curing temperature about 15 degrees could result in 20% reduction in ultimate strength; however, decreasing the humidity percentage by 50% could lead to 10% reduction in ultimate strength. The maturity test results represented the effect of various temperatures and humidity rates on maturity of the grouts. Additionally, the freeze-thaw cycle's effect on the grouts is conducted to investigate the durability factor. The results show that the lower temperatures could be significantly influential on the behavior of grouts compared to lower humidity rates. It is indicated that the maturity test could not be valid and precise in harsh temperature conditions.
