  • When a train passes a conventiaonl tunnel at high speed, external pressure variation problem arises. It is known that this issue can be reduced by control the tunnel length. We studied the variances of external pressure variation within the tunnel, by altering length of the dummy tunnel duct. We also studies the variances of micro-pressure waves at the exit of tunnel, by altering surface area of dummy tunnel duct. For analyzing this train-tunnel relation problem, axisymmetric steady compressible flow solver was used.

  • In Korea, side impact type accidents are one of the main cause of fatality. MLTM and KATRI established sie impact regulation as well as NCAP type assessments to protect occupants. Recently, WP29 formed a informal group to study a possible harmonization of pole side impact test methods with WorldSID as a GTR. In this paper, two different dummies, ES-2 and WorldSID were evaluated with three different types of pole side impact test methods.

  • Injection molding is widely used in producing various plastic parts due to its high productivity and the demand for high precision injection molded products is ever increasing. To achieve successful product quality and precision, the design of gating and runner systems in the injection mold is very important since it directly influences melt flow into the cavity. Some defects such as weld lines and overpacking can be effectively controlled with proper selection of gate locations. In the present study, the design of gate locations in injection molding of a dashboard for automobiles was carried out with CAMPmold, a PC-based simulation system for injection molding. A dummy runner was developed to simulate a runner system in order to increase the efficiency of the analysis. The numbers and locations of gates were varied in the present investigation as that an acceptable design was obtained in terms of reduced maximum pressure and clamping force.

저속 40%오프셋 충돌시험을 통한 차량의 손상성 .수리성 및 안전성에 관한연구 (Damageability , Repairability and Safety of Vehicles at Low Speed 40% Offset Crash Test)

  • The research committee for automobile repairs (RCAR), an international body of insurance research centers, has adopted the typical low speed crash test based on an average damage level in crash accidents to estimate the damageability , repairability and safety. The characteristics of body acceleration and the probability of injury are investigated based on damaged components, accelerations of body and injured dummy to analyze damageability and the driver's safety under low speed crash environment. It is found from the experimental results that the probability of head and thorax injuries are very low comparing to the injury criteria of FMVSS No.208. Furthermore, it is suggested that the deployment of airbag may not be necessary at RCAR low speed frontal crash test.

  • Finite element analyses are carried out to provide results usable in the design of airbag module that consists of inflater, cushion, cover, mounting plate, etc. In the first phase, a deployment process of airbag module is analyzed to evaluate the pressure waveform of developed airbag and deployment characteristics, and is compared with the test results. Interaction between head form and inflated airbag module is investigated in the second phase. In the last stage, sled test with rigid dummy, airbag midule, driving system and car interior part are simulated to investigate the influence of airbag design factor on the behavior of dummy with seat belt. The procedures can be provided as a guideline for airbag module design and improvement of airbag module performance.

  • This paper presents a computational study of thermal performance and construction cost of horizontal ground heat exchangers (GHEs). GLD (ground loop design) simulations of various type of GHEs were carried out. Construction costs were also calculated based on standard estimating, and compared with vertical type GHE system. Besides that, dummy regression analysis was conducted to study the influence of design parameters on the simulation results in horizontal ground heat exchanger system.

  • 대개 인간의 질병과 관련된 유전자나 가축의 경제적인 특성과 관련된 유전자는 주로 상호작용으로 일어난다. 유전자의 상호작용을 찾기 위한 방법으로 다양한 방법들이 제시되었다. 본 논문에서는 유전자의 상호작용 효과를 규명하기 위해 개발된 확장된 MDR방법(E-MDR)과 더미변수를 활용한 MDR방법(D-MDR), 대규모 유전자들 중에서 주요 유전자 조합을 선별하는 SNPHarvester방법을 비교하여 인간의 질병이 아닌 한우의 경제적인 특성에 적용하여 우수한 유전자 조합을 선별하고 우수 유전자형을 밝힌다.

  • 본 연구에서는 표본의 일부를 단계적으로 증가시켜 가며 반복적으로 추정된 장기모수의 시간경로를 파악하는 방식으로 변수들 간 장기균형관계의 안정성에 대해 통계적으로 검정해 보았다. 안정성 귀무가설이 기각되는 구간에는 더미변수를 사용해 전체 연구기간에 걸쳐 안정성을 회복시키고 타당한 공적분관계를 도출해 보았으며, 오차수정항에 대한 분석결과는 더미변수가 공적분관계의 구조변화를 반영하는 것으로 나타났다.

안정동력학에 의한 가변수요 통행배정모형 (A Variable Demand Traffic Assignment Model Based on Stable Dynamics)

  • This study developed a variable demand traffic assignment model by stable dynamics. Stable dynamics, suggested by Nesterov and do Palma[19], is a new model which describes and provides a stable state of congestion in urban transportation networks. In comparison with the user equilibrium model, which is based on the arc travel time function in analyzing transportation networks, stable dynamics requires few parameters and is coincident with intuitions and observations on congestion. It is therefore expected to be a useful analysis tool for transportation planners. In this study, we generalize the stable dynamics into the model with variable demands. We suggest a three stage optimization model. In the first stage, we introduce critical travel times and dummy links and determine variable demands and link flows by applying an optimization problem to an extended network with the dummy links. Then we determine link travel times and path flows in the following stages. We present a numerical example of the application of the model to a given network.
