이종두께 레이저 용접 프레임의 구조해석 (Structural Analysis of the Dual Thickness Laser Welded Frame)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 자동차구조에 사용되고 있는 점용접 보강 리어사이드 프레임, 비보강 리어사이드 프레임 및 레이저 용접을 이용한 이종두께 리어사이드 프레임의 응력, 좌굴 및 진동해석이 수행되었다. 응력 및 진동해석의 경계조건은 양단고정이며, 좌굴해석시에는 단순지지 경계조건을 사용하였다. 구조해석에는 ANSYS 5.0 Code를 사용하였다. 점용접된 리어사이드 프레임의 최대응력은 메인프레임에서 발생하였으며, 그값은 80.9MPa이다. 이때의 최대변형률은 501.mu.이다. 이종두께 레이저 용접된 리어사이드 프레임은 두께가 1.8mm일 때 점용접 보강 리어사이드 프레임의 최대응력과 같아진다. 따라서 동일등가 응력을 기준으로 할 때 레이저 용접을 이용하면 중량을 17.2% 줄일 수 있다. 양단 단순지지된 보강 점용접 리어사이드 프레임의 좌굴하중은 52.54kN이다. 이때 동일한 좌굴하중을 갖는 이종두께 레이저 프레임의 두께는 1.9mm이다. 따라서 중량을 15% 감소시킬 수 있다. 보강된 점용접 리어사이드 프레임의 고유진동수는 163.6Hz로 굽힘모드이며, 이종두께 레이저 용접 리어사이드 프레임의 고유진동수는 179.8Hz이다.

완전 디지털 능동위상배열 안테나의 효과적인 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법 (An Effective Method to Form Side-Lobe Blanking Beam of Fully Digital Active Phased Array Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 능동위상배열 안테나를 간략히 소개하고 주 빔의 부엽을 차단하기 위해 적용된 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법에 대해 기술하였다. 그리고 안테나 주 빔 및 부엽 차단 빔 설계 결과와 안테나 근접전계 측정 결과로부터 안테나 성능을 검증하였다. 다음으로 기존의 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔 운용 방식 보다 채널수를 줄이기 위해 단일 채널 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법을 제안하고, 제안한 방법으로 부엽 차단 안테나에 대한 소자별 가중치 분포를 설계하였다. 마지막으로 설계된 단일 채널 부엽 차단 빔 패턴과 차단 능력을 검증하고 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔과 비교하였다. 또한, 디지털 능동위상배열 안테나의 수신 근접전계 시험을 통해 측정한 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔과 제안된 단일 채널 부엽 차단 빔 패턴 및 부엽 차단 성능을 비교/검증함으로써 제안된 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법에 대한 유효성을 확인하였다.

Cost-effective Single Board PDP Sustaining Driver with Dual Resonant Method

  • A new plasma display panel sustaining driver using single side sustaining technique with a dual resonant method is proposed in this paper. Since this circuit enables to keep device voltage stress same as the prior circuit, it can be a low cost circuit compared to a conventional driver. To integrate the sustaining function into one side with a single power source in the driver, a charge pump method is adopted to make negative sustaining voltage and to achieve dual resonant energy recovery on the sustaining modes.

Grid-friendly Control Strategy with Dual Primary-Side Series-Connected Winding Transformers

  • High-power three-level voltage-source converters are widely utilized in high-performance AC drive systems. In several ultra-power instances, the harmonics on the grid side should be reduced through multiple rectifications. A combined harmonic elimination method that includes a dual primary-side series-connected winding transformer and selective harmonic elimination pulse-width modulation is proposed to eliminate low-order current harmonics on the primary and secondary sides of transformers. Through an analysis of the harmonic influence caused by dead time and DC magnetic bias, a synthetic compensation control strategy is presented to minimize the grid-side harmonics in the dual primary side series-connected winding transformer application. Both simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed control strategy can significantly reduce the converter input current harmonics and eliminates the DC magnetic bias in the transformer.

  • A bidirectional dual active converter with the power factor control capability is proposed as a battery charger. The source side half-bridge acts as a PWM converter that maintains the unity power factor. The battery side half-bridge converter acts as a dual active bridge (DAB) together shares the same DC link voltage with PWM converter. The imbalance voltage phenomenon is eliminated by employing asymmetric duty cycle technique. Simulation results are included to verify theoretical analysis.

  • A Dual Mass Flywheel(D.M.F.) system is an evolution to the reduction of torsional vibration and impact noise occurring in powertrain when a vehicle is either moving or idling. The D.M.F. system has two flywh-eels, which is different from the conventional clutch system. One section belongs to the mass moment of in-ertia of the engine-side. The other section increases the mass moment of inertia of the transmission-side. These two masses are connected via a spring/damping system. This reduces the speed at which the dreaded resonance occurs to below idle speed. Since 1984m D.M.F. system has been developed. However, the processes of development of D.M.F. system don't have any difference from the trial and error method of conventional clutch system. This paper present the method for systematical design of D.M.F. system with dimensionless design varia-bles of D.M.F. system, mass ratio between two flywheels, natural frequency rate of two flywheels, and visc-osity coefficient. And expermental results are used to prove these theoretical results.

Performance Optimization of LDMOS Transistor with Dual Gate Oxide for Mixed-Signal Applications

  • This paper reports the optimized mixed-signal performance of a high-voltage (HV) laterally double-diffused metaloxide-semiconductor (LDMOS) field-effect transistor (FET) with a dual gate oxide (DGOX). The fabricated device is based on the split-gate FET concept. In addition, the gate oxide on the source-side channel is thicker than that on the drain-side channel. The experiment results showed that the electrical characteristics are strongly dependent on the source-side channel length with a thick gate oxide. The digital and analog performances according to the source-side channel length of the DGOX LDMOS device were examined for circuit applications. The HV DGOX device with various source-side channel lengths showed reduced by maximum 37% on-resistance (RON) and 50% drain conductance (gds). Therefore, the optimized mixed-signal performance of the HV DGOX device can be obtained when the source-side channel length with a thick gate oxide is shorter than half of the channel length.

  • A CFD analysis was performed to examine the inner channel blockage of dual-cooled fuel which has being developed for the power uprate of a pressurized water reactor (PWR). The dual-cooled fuel consists of an annular fuel pellet($UO_2$) and dual claddings as well as internal and external cooling channels. The dual-cooled annular fuel is different from a conventional solid 려el by employing an internal cooling channel for each fuel pellet as well as an external cooling channel. One of the key issues is the hypothetical event of inner channel blockage because the inner channel is an isolated flow channel without the coolant mixing between the neighboring flow channels. The inner channel blockage could cause the Departure from Nucleate Boiling (DNB) in the inner channel that eventually causes a fuel failure. This paper presents the CFD simulation of the flow through the side holes of the bottom end plug for the complete entrance blockage of the inner channel. Since the amount of coolant supply to the inner channel depends on largely the pressure loss at the side hole, the pressure loss coefficient of the side hole was estimated by the CFD analysis. The CFD prediction of the loss coefficient showed a reasonable agreement with an experimental data for the complete blockage of both the inner channel entrance and the outer channel. The CFD predictions also showed the decrease of the loss coefficient as the outer channel blockage increases.

개구면 결합 급전 방식의 이중 빔 마이크로스트립 배열 안테나의 설계 (Design of an Aperture-Coupled Dual Beam Microstrip Array Antenna)

  • 본 논문은 10GHz 에서 동작하는 마이크로스트립 $18\times2$ 이중 빔 배열 안테나를 설계 하였다. 단일 복사 소자는 개구면 결합형 패치를 사용하였으며, 이를 전송선 모델을 이용하여 해석 하였다. 급전선은 Side Lobe Level(SLL)를 줄이기 위해 tapered 직-병렬 구조를 사용하였다. 또한 45도에서 이중 빔을 갖게 하기 위해 소자간에 180도 위상차를 주었다. 그 결과 SLL은 25dB를 가지며, $\pm44.5$도에서 두개의 빔을 갖게 되며 8도의 좁은 빔폭을 갖는다.
