저전력 비동기식 시스템 설계를 위한 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding 방식 제안 및 검증 (Mixed Dual-rail Data Encoding Method Proposal and Verification for Low Power Asynchronous System Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 dual-rail data encoding방식을 적용하여 비동기식시스템을 설계할 때, 신호천이를 줄이고 소비전력을 줄이기 위하여 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜과 2-phase handshaking 프로토콜을 혼합한 dual-rail data encoding방식을 제안한다. 기존의 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜은 space state가 존재함으로 말미암아 신호 천이가 많이 발생하게 되고 많은 전력소비를 발생한다. 이론적으로 dual-rail data encoding 2-phase handshaking 프로토콜은 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜보다 빠르고 신호천이도 적지만 표준 라이브러리를 사용하여 설계할 수 없다. 제안하는 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding 방식의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 Adder블록, Multiplier블록, Latch를 포함한 benchmark회로를 설계를 설계하였다. Benchmark회로를 이용하여 시뮬레이션해본 결과, 제안하는 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding방식은 기존의 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜에 비해 35%이상 전력소비가 감소되는 결과를 얻었다.

  • 본 논문은 작은 사이즈가 요구되는 제한적인 모바일 환경의 프로세서에서 별도의 연산기 없이 제안된 Dual Phase 명령어 구조를 이용해 효율적인 로그와 지수 연산이 가능한 방법을 제안한다. Floating Point 자료형의 지수부와 실수부를 추출하는 명령어 세트와 테일러 급수 전개를 이용해 로그의 근사치를 계산하여 24비트 단정도 부동 소수점을 연산하고, Dual Phase 명령어 구조를 활용해 명령어 실행 사이클을 줄였다. 제안된 구조는 별도의 연산기를 두는 구조보다 작은 사이즈를 유지하면서 성능저하를 33%까지 최소화 할 수 있는 구조이다.

3.5% NaCl 수용액의 pH변화가 복합조직강의 부식피로파괴에 미치는 영향 (Influence of pH in 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution on corrosion fatigue-fracture of dual phase steel)

  • Corrosion fatigue fracture of dual phase steel(SS41) and raw material steel(SS41) were investigated in 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution at PH 4,6,9 and 11. The fatigue limit of dual phase steel is increased approximately 1.8 times larger than that of raw material in air. The corrosion fatigue life of dual phase steel is about 5-10 times larger than that of raw material in 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution. The reduction of fatigue life is larger for the acidsalt solution than for the alkali salt solution. The reduction of stress level on the reduction ratio of corrosion fatigue life is large as pH 6-11. The reduction ratio of corrosion fatigue life of dual phase steel and raw material is nearly coincided at pH 2. While at pH4-2 the reduction ratio of corrosion fatigue life only depends on the corrosion effect. It has been found that the corrosion resistance effect of dual phase steel is smaller than that of raw material in corrosion fatigue crack propagation rate. As pH below 6 is changed, it can be clearly observed from raw material that the brittle intergranular fracture is characterized, and from the above result, the influence of corrosion of dual phase steel is small.

  • This paper presents a new winding topology for MW class offshore wind generator having modular and dual 3-phase. Based on proposed simplified relationship between magnetic flux and phase current in the air gap, several new windings for modular and dual 3-phase are made. In case of one inverter operation or faulty operation, the proposed model can have balanced 3-phase induced voltage whereas the conventional generator with modular winding has unbalanced induced voltage, which can be important issue in offshore generator. The model was applied into 6MW prototype machine with dual 3-phase. Using finite element analysis, induced voltage, inductance were investigated. The results show that the proposed modular winding can be applicable to dual inverter system with electrically balanced voltage.

  • A dual-phase structure refers to a material with two different phases of components or crystal structures. In this study, we analyze the stress distributions for harmonic and composite structured materials which are a kind of dual-phase structure materials. The finite element method (FEM) was used to progress compression test to analyze the strain distribution, and rather than constituted of a fully dense material, a dual-phase structure was designed to make a lightweight structure that has different shapes and volumes of vacancy in each case. As a result of each case, the dual-phase structured materials showed different stress distribution patterns and based on this, the cause was identified through the research.

  • The present work deals with microstructure and tensile deformation of nanostructured dual-phase steel consisting of ferrite and martensite phases. Prior to deformation, a fully martensite phase is prepared and then processed by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) and subsequent annealing. Room-temperature tensile properties are examined and compared to those of dual-phase steels with coarse grains. Due to the combined effects coming from the grain refinement of both phases and their uniform distributions, the nanostructured dual-phase steel exhibits better strength and ductility than coarse grained counterpart, achieving ${\sim}1\;GPa$ and ${\sim}20%$ for tensile strength and elongation, respectively.

  • The rotated bending fatigue test was conducted in air md in 3.5% NaCl salt solution to investigate the fatigue fracture behaviour of raw material and F.E.M dual phase steel made from raw material(SS41) by a suitable heat treatment. This study has compared the initial microcrack creation of material by tensile test with that by fatigue test. And the rotated bending test of cantilever type under the condition of 3.5% NaCl salt solution and air has investigated the corrosion fatigue fracture behaviour with the variation of stress concentration factor determined by each of notch shapes. The initial microcrack have been developed in fragile grainboundary with general corrosion occurring in raw material : in the pits built up by corrosion in F.E.M. dual phase steel because pits bring out stress concentration. It is small that the degree of decrease in corrosion fatigue life for F.E.M. dual phase steel compared with raw material because the notch sensitivity of F.E.M. dual phase steel is lower than raw material in reason of characteristics with two-phase construction.

New Configuration of a PLDRO with an Interconnected Dual PLL Structure for K-Band Application

  • A phase-locked dielectric resonator oscillator (PLDRO) is an essential component of millimeter-wave communication, in which phase noise is critical for satisfactory performance. The general structure of a PLDRO typically includes a dual loop of digital phase-locked loop (PLL) and analog PLL. A dual-loop PLDRO structure is generally used. The digital PLL generates an internal voltage controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) frequency locked to an external reference frequency, and the analog PLL loop generates a DRO frequency locked to an internal VCXO frequency. A dual loop is used to ease the phase-locked frequency by using an internal VCXO. However, some of the output frequencies in each PLL structure worsen the phase noise because of the N divider ratio increase in the digital phase-locked loop integrated circuit. This study examines the design aspects of an interconnected PLL structure. In the proposed structure, the voltage tuning; which uses a varactor diode for the phase tracking of VCXO to match with the external reference) port of the VCXO in the digital PLL is controlled by one output port of the frequency divider in the analog PLL. We compare the proposed scheme with a typical PLDRO in terms of phase noise to show that the proposed structure has no performance degradation.

통계적 방법을 이용한 복합조직강의 변형률과 보이드 성장거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Strain-Void Growth Mechanism of Dual Phase Steel by Statistical Method)

  • Ductile fracture of dual phase steel begins with void nucleation, at martensite-ferrite interface of deformed martensite particle. In this study, void nucleation, growth, and coalescence under various strain were studied in dual phase steel. Therefore, by means of the heat treatment of low carbon steel, the study deals with void nucleation and growth for ferrite grain size and martensite volume fraction of dual phase steel using statistical method. Void nucleation and growth with increasing strain are shown depend upon the ferrite grain size. Voids volume fraction generally increase as ferrite grain size decease.
