  • The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of chewing ability on cognitive function of older people in Korea and the mediation effect of physical function and depression using the nationwide data from "Survey of the Living Conditions and Welfare Needs of Korean Older Persons in 2014", in Korea. This study was conducted on a total of 10,451 respondents in the "Survey of the Living Conditions and Welfare Needs of Korean Older Persons in 2014" and the data collection period was from June 11, to September 4, 2014. Chewing ability was used in the scale on level of daily life inconvenience in chewing ability (meat or hardness). Cognitive function was measured using MMSE-DS, physical function using K-IADL, and depression using SGDS-K. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 program and Process Macro. Total effects of chewing ability on cognitive function were not significant(p>.05). Direct effects of chewing ability on cognitive function were not significant(p>.05). There were the dual mediation effect(p<.05) of physical function and depression, a complete mediating effect by physical function(p<.05) or depression(p<.05) in the impact of chewing ability on cognitive function of older people in Korea. These results indicate that physical function and depression effect directly and indirectly in the impact of chewing ability on cognitive function of older people. In conclusion, it is suggested that to prevent the decline of cognitive function in older people, it is necessary to consider not only nursing strategies for strengthening chewing ability and physical function, but also nursing interventions for relieving or preventing depression in older people.

  • This study tested the effects of stress on smartphone addiction via depression and self-efficacy among college students, and the analysis results were as follows: setting mediator and extra variables significantly correlated with the criterion variable as covariates and applying the regression analysis and SPSS Macro as well as bootstrapping method, to verify the mediating effects of depression and self-efficacy in stress and smartphone addiction. This study analyzed the direct effects of stress on the depression, self-efficacy, and smartphone addiction of college students and found that stress had direct effects on their depression and self-efficacy and also indirect effects on their smartphone addiction via depression and self-efficacy. Both depression and self-efficacy had dual and partial mediating effects on the influences of stress on their smartphone addiction. Stress had significant dual mediating effects on their smartphone addiction via the indirect paths of depression and self-efficacy, and high stress also had significant direct effects on their smartphone addiction, thus validating the dual mediation model. These findings demonstrate the need to develop programs to mitigate the stress and depression of college students and enhance their self-efficacy in order to reduce their smartphone addiction.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of Ethical Leadership on job engagement, organizational commitment and unethical pro-organizational behavior and to analyze the dual mediation effect of job engagement and organizational commitment. We used 565 questionnaires collected by members in domestic companies. The result of the analyses are as follows: First, Ethical Leadership has no positive effect on unethical pro-organizational behavior. Second, in the relationship between Ethical Leadership and unethical pro-organizational behavior, job engagement does not play a mediating role, but organizational commitment plays a mediating role. Third, in the relationship between Ethical Leadership and unethical pro-organizational behavior, job engagement and organizational commitment play a dual mediating role. The theoretical implication is that this study once again confirmed the behavior patterns such as cognition, emotion, attitude and behavior of members in the organization. In addition, this study can contribute to theoretical expansion by explaining that these behavior patterns are identified by social exchange theory. The practical implication is that this study confirmed that members in the actual management field are willing to perform unethical pro-organizational behavior in order to achieve the organization's goal efficiently and effectively. Therefore, it is suggested that active efforts should be made to recognize these negative influences and possibilities at the organization level and to create a clean and fair organizational culture and environment that everyone can recognize at the social level.

  • The predominant concerns of the study consist of: (1) the direct effects of social work students' evaluation toward connivers of exam-cheating on their evaluation toward connivers of corruptio ns in social welfare organizations; (2) the dual mediation effects of their concerning dysfunction of whistle-blowing and needing of protection arrangement for whistle-blowers. The notable findi ngs are as follows: First, the evaluation toward a person conniving at exam-cheating significantl y has an effect on the evaluation toward connivers committing corruptions in social welfare orga nizations($.211^{***}$). Second, the more positive evaluation for connivers of exam-cheating, the more concerning dysfunction of whistle-blowing, the less needing protection arrangement for whistle-blowers($-.191^{^{\prime}***}$). The students, concerning dysfunction of whistle-blowing more, show less neg ative evaluation toward a person, conniving at corruption in social welfare organizations($.245^{***}$). The more needing protection arrangement for whistle-blowers, the less positive evaluation regar ding whistle-blowers in the organizations($-.122^{***}$). Lastly, both mediating effects of the needing protection arrangement for whistle-blowers and concerning about dysfunction of whistle-blowing are significant so dual mediator are proved. Some practical implications are discussed based on the study's findings.

  • The study confirmed the relationship between attractiveness and suitability in the relationship between the formativeness of creating the artistic form of a virtual influencer who acts as an advertising model, advertising attention, and advertising attitude. To confirm this, the subjects of the study were the MZ generation and X generation, which have a high rate of SNS use. The analysis method used SPSS statistics 27.0 and SPSS process macro version. The research results are as follows. First, it was confirmed that attractiveness and suitability fully mediate the relationship between formativeness and advertising attention. In the path of formativeness and advertising attention, the total effect was found to be higher than the direct effect, and it was confirmed that there was a double parallel mediation effect through attractiveness and suitability in the relationship between the formativeness of virtual influencers and advertising attention. Second, it was confirmed that formativeness affects the mediating variable, attractiveness, but attractiveness does not affect attitude toward advertising. Since formativeness affects suitability and suitability in turn influences attitude toward advertising, it was confirmed that there is a full mediating effect between these variables. According to these results, the parallel mediating effect of attractiveness and formativeness was not confirmed in the relationship between formativeness and attitude towards advertising. The above study is significant in that it presents academic implications and practical implications by examining the dual and parallel mediating effects of attractiveness and suitability in the relationship between formativeness, advertising attention, and advertising attitude variables, which are considered in the production of virtual influencers.
