미나리꽝을 이용한 영양물질제거에 관한 연구 (A Studies on Removal of Nutrient Material by Using Dropwort Field)

  • Nitrogen(N) and phosphorus(P) in surface streams mainly lead to euthrophication. It aggravates water quality and consequently increases the purification costs. As a resolution of water contamination caused by household drainage through irrigation route by 70% of the 1,300 community residents in Eum-Am Myun, Seo-San city, was implemented biological self-purification method by growing Oenanthe Javanica along the polluted water tunnel. The contaminated water was efficiently purified after passing the dropwort field; DO conc. of effluent water was increased 8.3∼61.9% after through the drop wort field. HRT of experiment system was changed 0.05∼1.50/day. 50% of BOD was eliminated at the range above 12 mg/l of Influent BOD conc. Also, 50% of COD was eliminated at the range above 30 mg/l of Influent COD conc. Finnally, the influent T-N loading at range below 1.5 g/m$^3$/d reduced 50% of Influent T-N conc., and so did influent T-P loading at the range below 0.03 g/m$^3$/dwas reduced 50% of Influent T-P conc.

수생식물(부레옥잠 및 미나리)을 이용한 영양염류 제거에 관한 연구 (Feasibility of Aquatic Plants (Eichhornia crassipes and Water dropwort) for Nutrients Removal)

  • 본 연구에서는 수생식물 중 부레옥잠(Eichhornia crassipes)과 미나리(Water Dropwort)를 이용하여 유입수의 부하변동에 따른 수처리 효율을 Lab-scale 실험을 통해 평가하고, 부레옥잠을 현장 적용하여 식물생체내 흡수된 질소, 인의 함량을 산정 제시하고자 하였다. 부레옥잠 식물체내 N, P 흡수율은 하수의 1차처리수를 적용하였을때 HRT 4 day에서 가장 높은 흡수율 1.06 g N/$m^2{\cdot}day$과 0.39 g P/$m^2{\cdot}day$으로 각각 나타났다. 부레옥잠의 경우, BOD 부하 185 kg BOD/$ha{\cdot}day$ 이하에서 80% 이상의 높은 효율을 보였으며, 미나리를 적용한 경우에는 80 kg BOD/$ha{\cdot}day$ 이하에서 70~80%의 효율을 나타냈다. 질소와 인의 처리효율 역시 부레옥잠이 미나리 보다 높은 부하에서도 처리 효율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 부레옥잠을 이용하여 50% 이상의 TN 처리효율을 달성하기 위해서는 HRT 2 day 이상, 10 kg TN/$ha{\cdot}day$ 이하로 부하를 유지해야하고, TP의 경우, 80% 이상의 처리효율을 위해서는 TP 부하를 2.0 kg TP/$ha{\cdot}day$ 이하로 유지해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 부레옥잠을 이용한 50일 동안의 현장적용 실험 결과로 부터 부레옥잠의 연중생산량은 30.9 $m^3/ha{\cdot}yr$로 나타났으며, 질소와인의 연간 흡수율은 76.7 kg N/$ha{\cdot}yr$, 13.4 kg P/$ha{\cdot}yr$로 높게 나타났다.

Development of a Crawler Type Vehicle to Travel in Water Paddy Rice Field for Water-Dropwort Harvest

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a rubber-crawler type vehicle as a traveling device for harvesting water-dropwort cultivated in water contained paddy rice field in winter season. Methods: A commercial rubber-crawler type vehicle was used to investigate application of rubber crawler to the paddy rice field as preliminary test. As the result of the preliminary test, a both prototype traveling device with rubber crawlers for a water-dropwort harvest was designed with inclination of $45^{\circ}$ at the front-end and rear-end of crawler under the basic water depth of 0.6 m in the paddy rice field. The device was fabricated and attached to the experimental harvesting test devices on the front of the prototype vehicle. The size of the prototype crawler vehicle with a harvesting part is $2,800{\times}1,460{\times}1,040 $ (mm) ($L{\times}W{\times}H$) with weight of 9.21 kN (maximum). Sizes of the crawler of prototype vehicle are ground contact length of 900 mm, width of 180 mm, height of 1,070 mm and distance between center to center of crawlers of 720 mm. The side-overturn angle of the prototype was $26.4^{\circ}$. Results: Driving performance of the prototype vehicle in water contained paddy field were good at both forward and reverse (backward) directions as weights were applied. The drawbar pull and the maximum sinking depth of the prototype vehicle were 3.5 kN and 0.13 m respectively at water depth of 0.5 m, when the weight and bearing capacity of the prototype rubber crawler in the paddy field were 8.51 kN and 26.3 $kN/m^2$, respectively. Conclusions: Results of the driving test performance of the prototype crawler in paddy rice field at the water depth of 0.5 m were satisfactory. The prototype had enough drawbar pull and driving ability in the deep water contained paddy field.

Evaluation of Horticultural Characteristics on Water Dropwort (Oenanthe stolonifera DC.) Genetic Resources for Various Utilization

  • Water dropwort (Oenanthe stolonifera DC.) is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows wild throughout Korea. As of 2020, 24,819 tons (51.7% of open field, 48.3% of facility) are produced in 1,278 ha (59.9% of open field, 40.1% of facility) nationwide. Water dropwort, which is rich in nutrients such as vitamins and iron, is mainly cultivated by vegetative propagation method using local traditional species, however, seed propagation and breeding of cultivars are insufficient so far. Since securing, propagating and continuous characterization of various genetic resources are required to breed new cultivars, this study was conducted to compare the main characteristics of domestic genetic resources and to improve their utilization. Growth characteristics such as plant height, fresh weight, plant type, and flowering date were investigated for the 89 varieties of genetic resources owned by Jeollabuk-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services after vegetative propagation in the individual pots. Also, the morphological image information of leaves and flowers was constructed. Genetic resources were collected nationwide and originated in 30 regions including Hwaseong, Siheung and Jeju. Their plant types could be classified into straight, intermediate and creeping types according to their morphological characteristics, and at this time, the number of intermediate types accounted for the largest proportion. Flowering was carried out under high-temperature and long-day conditions in summer. According to the flowering date, they could be classified into early, middle and late flowering varieties, and at this time, the middle flowering varieties occupied the largest proportion. As a result of the investigation of vegetative growth characteristics, varieties with long plant height, heavy fresh weight and thick stem thickness were identified. Along with this result, it is thought that classification and selection of genetic resources for various purposes will be possible through additional investigations such as analysis of components and antioxidant activity. Moreover, it is judged that such results can be used as basic data for breeding new water dropwort cultivars in the future.

밭미나리 발효액이 알콜투여 흰쥐의 간기능관련효소활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Fermented (Oenanthe stolonifera DC) Extract on the Activity of Enzymes Related to Liver Function of Alcohol-administered Rats and Mice)

  • 미나리는 간을 보호하며 간질환을 예방, 치유하는 효능이 있는 기능성식물로 인식되어 민간요법에 널리애용되고 있다. 그래서 알콜을 렛트와 마우스에 처리하여 만성, 아급성, 급성중독을 유도하고 밭미나리 발효액과 추출물 그리고 물미나리추출물의 효과를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 렛트와 마우스에 에탄올을 2일동안 투여한결과 total cholesterol과 total glyceride의 수치가 증가되었으며 20일동안 밭미나리발효액과 추출물 그리고 물미나리추출물을 투여한후 에탄올을 2일동안 급여한균에서는 total cholesterol과 total glyceride의 감소 효과가 있었으나 처리간의 유의성은 인정되지않았다. 그러나 실험동물의 혈청중에 알콜에의해서 높아졌던 alanine aminotransferase 와 asparate aminotransferase는 밭미나리발효액 과 추출물에 의해서 감소되었으며 밭미나리발효액투여군에서 가장 많이 감소되어 처리간에 유의성이 인정되었다. 렛트에 10%에탄올을 10개월간 투여하여 만성알콜중독을 유발시킨다음 5일동안 물만 급여한군과 밭미나리발효액을 투여한군을 비교한바 total cholesterol은 40%, total glyceride는 60%의 감소효과가 있었으며 alanine aminotransferase 와 asparate aminotrasferase는 87.2%와 91.7%를 감소시켜 정상에 가깝게 회복시키는효과가 인정되었다. alkaline phosphatase, catalase, superoxide dismutase 및 glutathione peroxidase의 활성은 알콜의 처리에 의해서 급만성모두 유의적인 변동을 나타냈으며 밭미나리 발효액의 처리에 의해서 alkaline phosphatase와 superoxide dismutase의 활성에 특히 유의적인 감소를 가져왔다. 이와같은 결과는 물미나리보다 밭미나리발효액이 알콜성 간질환에 효능이있음을 시 사하는것이라 하겠다.

마우스에서 미나리와 진도 울금의 방사선조사에 대한 방어효과 (Protective Effects of Water dropwort and Jin-do turmeric on the Irradiation in Mouse)

  • 본 연구는 미나리와 울금의 방사선 피폭이 어떠한 영향이 미치는지 알아 보고자 하였다. 실험동물은 ICR계 5주령 25~30g 수컷 50 마리를 마우스를 사용하여, 5 마리를 하나의 군으로 3 Gy 대조군(A), 5 Gy대조군(B), 3 Gy 미나리 전처치(C), 5 Gy 미나리 전처치(D), 3 Gy 미나리 후처치(E), 5 Gy 미나리 후처치(F), 3 Gy 울금 전처치(G), 5 Gy 울금 전처치(H), 3 Gy 울금 후처치(I), 5 Gy 울금 후처치(J)으로 설정하였고, 대조군(A, B)은 방사선 조사 후 7 일 동안 생리식염수 500mg/kg/day)를 마우스에 경구투여 하였고, 후처치 대조군(E, F, I, J)도 방사선조사 후 7일 동안 미나리(500mg/kg/day)와 울금(500mg/kg/day)을 각각 마우스에 경구투여 하였다. 또 이와 같은 방법으로 전처치 대조군(C, D, G, H)은 미나리(500mg/kg/day)와 울금 (500mg/kg/day)을 각각 마우스에 7 일 동안 경구투여 후 방사선 조사를 하였다. 그 결과 3 Gy 대조군에서 백혈구 평균수치(마우스 5 마리)는 평균 200K/${\mu}L$, 3 Gy 미나리 전처치군에서는 평균 6,46K/${\mu}L$로 정상수치(1.8-10.7 K/${\mu}L$)로 되었다. 3 Gy 울금 전처치의 백혈구 평균수치는 23.33K/${\mu}L$로 정상수치는 아니지만, 200K/${\mu}L$에 비하여 정상수치에 가까워졌음을 알 수가 있다. 3 Gy 대조군에서 림프구의 평균 수치는 118.87K/${\mu}L$로, 3 Gy 울금 전처치군은 1.51 K/${\mu}L$로 림프구 정상수치(0.9-9.3K/${\mu}L$)로 나타내었다. 혈소판에서는 3 Gy 대조군의 평균 수치는 4000K/${\mu}L$, 3 Gy 미나리전처치군은 1107 K/${\mu}L$, 3 Gy 울금 전처치군은 2759.6 K/${\mu}L$로 혈소판정상수치(592-2972 K/${\mu}L$)로 나타내었다. 위의 결과로 미나리와 울금이 방사선 피폭에 대한 예방적 차원에서 방어효과가 있는 것으로 사료되었고, 동물실험에서는 혈구수치가 정상수치로 돌아오는 것을 알 수가 있었다. 이 실험을 바탕으로 향 후 다양한 연구가 선행되어야 할 것으로 사료되는 바이다.

휴경기 후작물 재배에 의한 참외 장기연작 비닐하우스 토양의 제염 효과 (Desalinization Effect of Off-season Crop Cultivation in Long-term Oriental Melon Cultivated Plastic Film House Soils)

  • BACKGROUND: During the off-season, the cultivation of Chinese cabbage and water dropwort is often used to desalinize plastic film house soils. The objective of this study was to verify the effect of double-cropping systems on the salt removal in oriental melon cultivated plastic film house soils.METHODS AND RESULTS: Electrical conductivity (EC) and soluble salt contents were measured in soils collected from plastic film houses of oriental melon cultivation before and after the off-season crop cultivation. Also the same measurements were performed in the next oriental melon season to estimate the desalinization effect of double-cropping systems. During the cultivation of Chinese cabbage under open-field condition, ECeof surface soil was reduced from 6.0 to 0.8 dS/m. Double-cropping of water dropwort in flooded soil was also efficient in removing the salts accumulated during oriental melon cultivation. In the house soils where salts were removed during the off-season crop cultivation, soil ECewas maintained below 3 dS/m during the next oriental melon cultivation season.CONCLUSION: The off-season cropping under open-field or flooded condition was effective in desalinization of plastic film house soils. Since the salt removal effect is not expected to last for several years, the double-cropping system should be introduced every season to maintain soil EC below the critical level.

이모작에 따른 참외 재배 비닐하우스 토양의 선충밀도 변화 (Effect of Double-Cropping Systems on Nematode Population in Plastic Film House Soils of Oriental Melon Cultivation)

  • 시설재배 참외 주산지에서는 농가별로 가용 경지면적이 제한되어 있어 동일 포장을 이용한 장기간 연작이 불가피하므로 토양의 염류집적 문제와 함께 선충 피해가 매우 심각하다. 참외 휴경기에 하우스의 비닐을 제거하고 김장배추를 재배하는 이모작 체계는 다음 작기 참외 재배 시 토양 선충 밀도를 줄이는데 아무런 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 일반 참외 연작 하우스와 비교하여 참외-미나리 이모작 하우스에서는 다음 작기 참외 재배기간 동안 6월까지는 토양의 선충 밀도가 상대적으로 낮았는데, 이는 토양을 3개월 정도의 담수 상태로 유지함으로써 얻을 수 있는 효과로 판단된다. 참외-미나리 이모작 하우스에서 다음 작기 참외 정식 전에 살선충제를 처리한 경우에는 참외 재배 후반기까지 선충 밀도가 피해유발수준 이하로 유지되었다. 농가에서 휴경기에 배추와 미나리를 윤작물로 재배하는데, 이러한 단기윤작은 참외 연작 비닐하우스 토양의 선충을 효과적으로 방제하는 방법이 되지 못한다. 따라서 객토, 토양소독, 윤작물 재배 등의 친환경적인 선충방제 수단을 적극적으로 활용하고 그 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 방안들이 강구되어야 할 것이며, 필요에 따라서 적절한 살선충 약제를 사용함으로써 작물생산에 미치는 선충의 피해를 최소화시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

한국 원예식품의 항산화 비타민 함량 분석 (Determination of Antioxidant Vitamins in Horticultural foods)

  • This study examines the effects of the Korean horticultural foods which are, by traditional wisdom, supposed to contain anti-aging substance. All twenty three kinds of plants are chosen as a sample for the experiment in which the content of three main anti-aging nutrients, -carotene, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E are respectively measured by Nilis, Colorimetric, and AOAC method. The result shows: among the samples, top six plants that contain the most -carotene content are high quality tea(Camellia sinensis), thistle(Cirsium japonicum Var.), Angelica keiskei, mulberry leaves(Morus alba l.), field horsetail(Equisetum arvensa), and carrot(Daucus carota), in order; top four for a Vitamin C contents are low quality tea, mulberry leaves, pine leaves(Pinus densiflora), and high quality tea, in order; top four for a Vitamin E contents are persimmon leaves(Diospyros mongolicum) tea, high quality tea, low quality tea, and pine leaves, in order. Drying or boiling process increases the content of -carotene and Vitamin E in high quality tea, dropwort(Oenanthe javanica), field horsetail, and wild aster(Ligularia stenocephala Marsumum et Koldzumi), while, in case of mulberry leaves, drying process lowers them. Vitamin C content strikingly decreases in heating and drying process.

한국의 농작업환경과 인체부담에 관한 연구(III) - 작목별 농작업 모형을 중심으로 - (Study on Farm Work Environment and Physical Load in Korea - Focused on Farm Work Model by Crops -)

  • This study was to get basic data for the establishment of proper labor counterplan so that we estimated farm work volume and work loads by crops. We examined the method of work practices such as a work posture, work time, measured work environment such as hot, cold, humidity and ultraviolet rays and calculated physical loads induced by them. Also we surveyed work environment, work posture, sleeping time and work time because they affect on farmer's health. Farmer's health survey was investigated by questionnaire and measured farmer's physical load. The types of farm work were classified into greenhouse farming, rice farming, dry field farming, stock farming and special crop farming. 11 crops were selected, for example, greenhouse melon, riceㆍred pepper, milky cow farming, pear, grapes, dropwort, sweet potato, potato, radish, and cabbage. We also chose subject districts haying the most yield of 11 crops. Our survey was conducted for the period when farmers think the hardest period in physical work load. The farm work models based on work standard were presented according with farmer's health.
