  • Ink-jet is part of the non impact printing that shooting the ink drop from the nozzle to paper. It is very silence and express good color. There are two types of printing that continuous and drop on demand. But drop on demand process is becoming the mainstream. these days, LCD, PDP is passed more than semiconductor industry. And we expect organic EL, FED as a next display. But product equipment, main component and technology have a gap between an advanced country and us nevertheless physical development. Expecially, previous process part is depended on imports. Ink-jet printing technology that there isn't complicated photo lithography process is attracted, so ink-jet printing resolution is more embossed. But there were not many of ink-jet resolution thesis but ink-jet head or nozzle. Because, to out of the ink from the nozzle is unseeable and hard to experiment. Therefore this thesis was experimented and simulated how can ink-jet printer improved resolution by flow-3d simulation package program.

  • A numerical study was performed to predict the performance of a fin-and-tube condenser. A condenser model was developed and verified by comparing the simulation results with experimental data for a R410A condenser in a residential air-conditioning system. The prediction error was 0.07% and -5.77% for the condenser capacity and pressure drop, respectively. In simulation results, the capacity and pressure drop of the condenser with even air velocity distribution were 0.67% and 12.93% higher than those with uneven distribution of air velocity. It was predicted by the model that the refrigerant distribution at the condenser inlet to the two first passes was not significantly influenced by the air distribution. The simulation results presented that the 1.49% of capacity and 64.6% of pressure drop were reduced by replacing helical microfin tubes with smooth tubes for the condenser.

  • With continuous industrial development, the types, and amount of particulate matter (PM) have been increasing. Since 2018, environmental standards regarding PM have become more stringent. Pulse air jet bag filters are suitable for PM under the 20 ㎛ and, can function regardless of size, concentration and type. Filtration velocity and shape are important factors in the operation and design of the pulse air jet bag filters however, few established studies support this theory. In this research, numerical simulations were conducted based on experimental values and, several methods were employed for minimizing the pressure drop. In the pilot system, as the inlet duct velocity was faster than 19 m/sec, flow was not distributed equally and, re-entrainment occurred due to the hopper directional vortex. The multi-inlet system decelerated the hopper directional vortex by 25 ~ 30%, thereby decreasing total pressure drop by 6.6 ~ 14.7%. The guide vane system blocked the hopper directional vortex, which resulted optimal vane angle of 53°. The total pressure of the guide vane system increased by 0.5 ~ 3% at 1.5 m/min conditions. However, the filtration pressure drop decreased by 4.8 ~ 12.3% in all conditions, thereby reducing the operating cost of filter bags.

  • The power flow analysis of electrified railway is required complicated calculation, because of variable load. Train runs trough rail supplied by electric power therefore, the load value in electrified railway system fluctuates along time. The power flow algorithm in electrified railway system is different from general power system, and the power flow simulation is peformed by the particular simulation software. Powerail is simulation software for analysis of traction power supply system developed by KRRI, in 2008. This consists of load forecasting module, including TPS and time scheduling, and power flow module. This software was verified by measured current under normal feeding condition, however, has not been verified by voltage on the condition of extended feeding. This paper presents the verification of PowerRail based on voltage drop under extended feeding condition. This is performed by comparing simulation result with field test. Field test and simulation is done in commercial railway line.

  • The fuel tank systems of fixed wing and rotary wing aircrafts require the self-sealing and crash-worthiness for their survivability. For these requirements, the flexible composite fuel tank is generally used. In this study, the performance of the flexible composite fuel tank is investigated. The FE simulation includes the drop test of a fuel tank using MSC.DYTRAN. MSC.DYTRAN can provide the fluid-structure modeling of these test from Euler and Lagrange grids. Using MSC.DYTRAN, the finite element modeling of the test cube of the flexible fuel tank and its FE simulation are performed for various environments. The simulation results can show if the test cube satisfies the performance requirements of the fuel tank.

  • In this paper, we propose a tunable drop/pass filter in the form of composed of Mach-Zehnder interferometer, to which a fiber grating and two PZTs are attached. The proposed drop/pass filter drops a part of signal power at a specific wavelength and pass the remnant of the signal to the next node in WDM network. Our simulation results show that the optical feedback is less than 2% and the drop to pass ratio can be made bigger than 10% if the phase difference between the two arms is within .+-.0.2.pi. from (2m+1).pi.. Also, the output powers at drop prot and pass port are measured to be maximum at the phase difference of .pi./2 and .pi., respectively, as expected.

  • The control rod worth sensitivity to the neutron detector position in the rod drop experiment is studied by the time-dependent Monte Carlo (TDMC) neutron transport calculations for AGN-201K educational reactor and the Kyoto University Critical Assembly. The TDMC simulations of the rod drop experiments are conducted by the Seoul National University Monte Carlo (MC) code, McCARD, yielding time-dependent neutron densities at detector positions. The detector-position-dependent results of the total control rod worth calculated by the extrapolation, the integral counting, and the inverse methods are compared with the numerical reference using the MC eigenvalue calculations and the experimental results. From these comparisons, it is observed that the total control rod worth can be estimated with a considerable difference depending on the detector position through the rod drop experiment. The proposed TDMC simulation of the rod drop experiment can be applied for searching a better detector position or quantifying a bias for the control rod worth measurement.

  • The passenger who use airport spend a lot of time in check-in. They are also delayed in their readiness for departure. Therefore, for decrease in time that is waiting time for handling luggage, recently many airports are expanding self-service. Also internal development and manufacturing for production automation system and IT technology are world-class. So, for localization of self bag drop (SBD) system, I think that application this system in domestic technique and constructing competitive in customer reception system will be efficient airport management. To this end, for looking for optimal conditions when passengers use SBD, this thesis include development simulation of relevance to system. Also this thesis secures information for passenger's in foreign country airport and simulate this data. Finally, that analysis the best management passenger system when the passenger use SDB.

  • The power supply system in Korean electrified railway has adopted AT feeding. If a fault occurs in some substation for any reason, the vicinity substation must feed electric power on the outage substation through catenary. So, the feeding distance grows twice of the normal state at extended feeding condition. If substation's feeding distance is longer than normal condition, the catenary impedance and train to supply electric power from the substation. Therefore, the severe voltage drop can occur and power supply shall be not allowed. This paper presents the model of compensator against voltage drop using multi-port network algorithm. Whole traction power supply system can be analyzed with this model. Computer simulation including this model is performed based on real train schedule and increased schedule in case studies.
