캠구동 슬라이더기구의 기구동역학 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Kinetodynamic Analysis for General Disk Cam Driving Slider Mechanisms)

  • Kinetodynamics of a cam driving slider mechanism consists of kinematic analysis and force analysis. The kinematic analysis is to determine the kinematic characteristics of a cam driving mechanism and a slider mechanism. The force analysis is to determine the joint forces of links, the contact forces of the cam and follower, and the driving torque of a main shaft. This paper proposes a close loop method and a tangent substitution method to formulate the relationships of kinematic chains and to calculate the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the cam driving slider mechanism. Also, and instant velocity center method is proposed to determine the cam shape from the geometric relationships of the cam and the roller follower. For dynamic analysis, the contact force and the driving torque of the cam driving slider mechanism are calculated from the required sliding forces, sliding motion and weight of the slider.

  • In this paper we calculated and compared the arc driving force of two spiral-tyre vacuum interrupter electrode models which have 3petals and 4petals respectively by means of commercial finite element method software Maxwell 3D. As a result we can find that the more petals the electrode has, the stronger arc driving force was generated. This simulation method can contribute to optimization of spiral-type electrode designs in a view of arc driving force.

  • When TBM excavates a tunnel, existing concrete lining segments are used as supporting structures for driving force. Axial stress on the lining segments are apt to be large in case of direct driving force. However, it drastically decline as it is farther and father from TBM and later, it tends to converge after a certain point. Such tendencies show similar results of finite element analysis. At the initial intervals, the values of finite element analysis are larger, while at the later intervals, the actual stress values are larger. It concludes that such tendencies are attributable to that the concrete lining segments have partially burst and cracked in the axial direction at the initial intervals. And differences of stresses at the later intervals are created by the changed plasticity of ground and the friction on the external sides of the lining segments.

노인이 경험하는 삶의 원동력 의미에 관한 해석학적 현상학 연구 (Study of the Hermeneutical Phenomenon regarding the Meaning of the Driving Force of Life Experienced by the Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the meaning of the driving force of life experienced by the elderly and the realistic structure of their experience. Methods: The research question was "What is the essential meaning of the driving force experienced by the elderly?". Data were collected from individual in-depth interviews between March, 2017 and May, 2017 and analyzed using Van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological methodology to identify the essential themes of their experience. Results: Through the analysis process, 22 themes and 14 essential themes were derived. The 14 essential themes of the driving force of the life of elderly were as follows: 'Memories from the past', 'Poverty to escape', 'Hand down family's heritage', 'A body bound by marriage', 'A body necessary for old age', 'A dignified body even if they grow older', 'A body that does not want to fall', 'A fruit of my life', 'Mature real love', 'Unchanging fraternity', 'Extended family', 'An old friend with whom share my heart', 'Satisfied with the situation', and 'Expanding the breadth of life'. Conclusion: Nursing programs that assess the driving force of life supporting the elderly and supports the driving force of such a life should be developed.

선로조건 및 운전패턴에 따른 한국형 고속열차 판토그라프의 접촉력 특성 분석 (Analysis of contact force of pantograph for Korean-high speed train according to track conditions and driving patterns)

  • In this paper, we introduce the on-line test of the current collection characteristics for HSR 350x(Korea High Speed Train project) that have been performed in the Kyoung-bu high-speed line since 2002. Through the analysis of measured data during on-line test, the variation trends of contact force between pantograph and catenary according to the track conditions and driving patterns are reviewed. This study shows that the track conditions do not affect on the dynamic performance between pantograph and the driving patterns are important factors in determining the good interaction of them.

Sawtooth Fingered Comb Drive Actuator for Greater Displacement

  • The electrostatic comb drive actuator is one of the main building blocks in the field of micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). Most of the comb actuators presented previously have fingers that are rectangular in shape which produce a stable, constant force output during actuation. The use of sawtooth fixed fingers in a comb drive, which were presumed to produce an increasing force output with displacement due to the increased number of regions where fringing force, the driving force of comb actuators, appear. The dimensions of the sawtooth were derived from finite element analysis (FEA) of simplified finger models with sawtooth type fingers of various dimension and were compared to the rectangular finger model that showed that the sawtooth type fingers have $7\~9$ times stronger driving force. Finally, comb drive actuators with sawtooth type and rectangular fingers were fabricated and although the gap was bigger, the comb actuator with sawtooth type fingers showed about 1.7 times greater electrostatic force than the one with rectangular fingers at equal driving voltages. In conclusion, using the proposed sawtooth type comb fingers in a comb drive makes it possible to increase its displacement or reduce the driving voltage.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the methodology of design plan that could raise the brand power by looking around the driving force of the design innovation through the case study of Louis Vuitton which has been evaluated to be successful in brand revolution by designer Marc Jacobs. Research methods were theoretical studies looking for various analysis and valuations about Louis Vuitton's design innovation and analysis about articles in International Herald Tribune and New York Times. Driving force of Louis Vuitton's design innovation could be summarized as designer's creativity and full supports for designers, establishment of BI by strategic cooperation between design and marketing parts, active design plans by collaboration with modern artists, existence of Logo as a symbol of brand, business mind pursuing adventures and dreams, and directors' artistic sensitivity and supports for culture and art.

  • A six-degree-of-freedom dynamic model with time-varying mesh stiffness/damping and friction has been developed for the dynamic analysis of a gear driving system. This model includes a spur gear pair, bearing, friction and prime mover. Using Newton???s method, equations of motion for the gear driving system were derived. Two computer programs are developed to calculate mesh stiffness, transmission error and friction force and analyze the dynamics of the modeled system using a time integration method. The influences of mesh stiffness/damping, bearing, and friction affecting the system were investigated by performing eigenvalue analysis and time response analysis. It is found that the reduction of the maximum peak magnitude by friction is decided according to designing the positions of pitch point and maximum peak in the responses.

  • 널말뚝의 관입속도 예측을 위한 해석수단 중 많은 경우에 얕은 근입깊이에 대해서 관입속도를 지나치게 크게 평가하기 때문에 해석법의 신뢰성을 떨어뜨리는 요인으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 해석상의 단점을 보완하고자 널말뚝의 휨진동모델을 정립하고 휨진동에 의해 발생하는 에너지 손실량을 평가하였다. 또한 휨진동에 의한 에너지손실에 따른 진동타입력의 감소를 하중감소계수를 써서 반영하고자 하였다.

  • Over the past few years, intelligent tire is developed very actively for more accurate measurement of real-time tire forces generated during vehicle driving situation. Information on the force of intelligent tire could be used very usefully to chassis control systems of a vehicle. Intelligent tire is based on deformation of tire's inner surface from the waveform of a SAW, or Surface Acoustic Wave. The tire vertical force is estimated by using variance analysis of sensor signals. The estimated tire vertical force is compared with the tire vertical force generated during vehicle driving situation in real-time environment. The scope of this paper is a correlation study between the measured sensor signals and the tire vertical force generated during vehicle driving situation.
