  • A novel control strategy for the induction motor drive, based on the field acceleration method, is presented. The torque is controlled through variations of the stator flux angular velocity. The stator flux is controlled by using a feed forward control scheme, with the stator flux reference vector adjusted so as to obtain the fixed rotor flux amplitude.

Fast Regulation Method for Commutation Shifts for Sensorless Brushless DC Motors

  • Sensorless brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive systems are often subjected to inaccurate commutation signals and can produce high current peaks and conduction consumption. To achieve accurate commutation, a fast commutation shift regulation method for sensorless BLDC motor drive systems considering the influence of the inductance freewheeling process is presented to compensate inaccurate commutation signals. The regulation method is effective in both steady speed and variable speed operations. In the proposed method, the commutation error is gained from the line-voltage difference integral in a 60 electrical-degree conduction period and the outgoing phase current before commutation. In addition, the detection precision of the commutation error is improved due to the consideration of the freewheeling period. The commutation error is directly obtained, which avoids successive optimization and accelerates the convergence rate of the proposed method. Moreover, the commutation error features a positive or negative sign, which can be utilized as an indicator of advanced or delayed commutation. Finally, experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. The results obtained show that the proposed method can accurately regulate commutation signals.

  • This paper describes the position control method in yard crane drive system using Lonworks network, which is a leading industrial control network. The network is composed of host computer and three motor drive systems for both gantry and trolley position controls of both gantry and trolley are controlled with the simulator of yard crane, the size of which is about 1/10 with the real yard crane.

  • The ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film) is used for bonding Drive IC and OLED display device panel. If ACF bonding process is problem, a malfunction of line defect can occur. Because electric resistance increase between the panel and drive IC after a period of time, drive IC can not supply enough current to the panel. This paper is studied on a method of test for line defect.

  • Dynamics of the electric system for the toroidal drive under mechanical disturbance is presented. Using the method of perturbation, free vibrations of the electric system under mechanical disturbance are studied. The forced responses of the electric system to voltage excitation under mechanical disturbance are also presented. We show that as the time grows, the resonance vibration caused by voltage excitation still exists and the vibrations caused by mechanical disturbance are enlarged. The coupled resonance vibration caused by mechanical disturbance and voltage excitation is discussed. The conditions of the occurrence of coupled resonance are studied.

  • In this paper, using the direct drive arm for plant, the controller is developed to track the desired trajectory in high speed and precision. For the purpose of this, through extending self-tuning pole-placement algorithm, we developed self-tuning pole-shift algorithm which is fast in response and good tracking for the reference tracking change. Developed controller is applied a three-link direct drive arm with the varing payload to track the desired tracking. And, through the computer simulation, the performance of developed controller is compared with the performance of the computed torque method and the self-tuning pole placement algorith.

  • The current source inverter-fed induction motor(CSIM) drive is widely used in industry because of its four quadrant operation, fuseless protection, fuseless protection, and ruggedness. the CSIM drive system, however, has shortcomins such as slow response and dynamic stability to load torque disturbance and reference speed change. Such a disadvantages can be compensated considerably by means of introducing additional angle angle control loop. The angle control method is dependent upon the inverter type. In this paper, simultaneus recovery and commutation inverter(SRCI) which is developed recently is considered.

In this paper, induction motor drive system using vector control was developed with high performance for elevator door system. For this, velocity pattern generation method was proposed. The proposed system is verified by experimental result with 400[w] induction motor drive system for the elevator door.
