CFRP복합재료의 적층수와 드릴직경에 따른 가공 특성 (Drilling Characteristic of CFRP Composites depend on the number of stacking and drill diameter)

  • CFRP composite has a lot of merits such as mechanical characteristic, light weight, and thermal resistance. For these merits CFRP is applied to so many industrial area. In this paper, the relationship between the stack thickness and drill diameter is examined from the drilling experiment, which is the drilling of 16, 32, 48 plies specimen with the $\phi$8, $\phi$10, $\phi$12mm cemented carbide drill. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, stack thickness and drill diameter.

미소직경의 Single Edge형 드릴을 사용한 심공드릴링 공정의 가공특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Deep Hole Drilling Process Using Single Edge Drill with Small Diameters)

  • Applications of the deep hole drilling process can be found in many industries ranging from large aerospace manufacturer to small tool and die shop. Deep hole drilling process with small diameter generally requires high quality and accuracy. But problems which may arise or result from the deep hole drilling process include drill breakage, the generation of a finished part surface which does not satisfy required quality, and process instability. To guaranty the required machining quality and accuracy, it is important to understand and improve the deep hole drilling process. In this study, deep hole drilling experiments using tingle edge drill with small diameter under 2mm have been carried out for difficult to cut materials such as C42CrMo4 and C45pb and the experimental results were analyzed. Feed force and torque versus feed showed linear relationship in both materials. The feed force and torque are decreased as cutting speed is increased but the trends are not uniform in C42CrMo4.

핵연료 계장을 위한 천공조건에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Drilling Conditions for the Instrumentation of Nuclear Fuel)

  • To develop a new nuclear fuel, it needs to make a test fuel rod and carry out burn-up test in the test loop of a research reactor to check the irradiation characteristics of the nuclear fuel. At that time, several sensors such as thermocouples, LVDTs and SPNDs are needed to be attached in and out of the fuel rod and connect them with instrumentation cables. Then, the instrumentation cables deliver the signals measured by the sensors to the measuring device located outside of the reactor pool. In particular, to install a thermocouple in a fuel rod, it needs to drill off holes on the alumina blocks and sintered $UO_2$ pellets. However, because the hardness of a sintered $UO_2$ pellet is 700 Hv (or HRC 61) and that of an alumina block is 1480 Hv, a special drilling machine which adapts a diamond coated drill bit had developed. In this study, several case experiments have been carried out to find an optimal drilling condition of the drilling machine. And, using the optimal drilling condition, minimum numbers of the holes that a drill bit can drill off are verified.

  • 본 기술보고에서는 천공장비의 종류와 작동방식에 대해 간략히 소개하였다. 이 중 탑해머 방식의 천공기에 탑재되는 부품 및 세부 기술을 조사하였다. 탑해머 천공기술에 연관된 국내외 기술현황을 분석하고, 국내 기술수준과 선진기술 수준을 비교하였다. 이를 바탕으로 천공 관련 융복합 기술의 연구개발 필요성을 토의하고, 선진국과 기술격차를 줄이기 위한 천공산업의 미래 전략을 제안하였다.

  • 현재 기계굴착공법인 올케이싱, 어스 드릴, 역순환공법이 널리 활용되고 있음에도 불구하고, 시공 현장에서 발생되는 부조화로 인하여 말뚝의 품질이 저하되거나 부실시공이 빈번히 발생되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이 문제를 줄이는 방법으로 올케이싱, 어스 드릴, 역순환공법을 중심으로 현장 콘크리트타설 말뚝 시공시 발생되는 부조화 종류별로 부조화 발생요인을 현장기술자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행 하였다. 그리고 설문분석결과를 토대로 부조화 종류별로 빈번히 발생되는 부조화 요인을 분석함으로서 대응방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 분석된 자료는 향후 건설현장에서 기계굴착공법으로 시공될 때, 부조화를 최소화 할 수 있는 효과적인 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

  • This study is to examine the safety by analizing the hardness of bed and the characteristic of vibration to improve basic efficiency of machine-tool of drill-cell which is a high line center. The mistake of existing design was shown through the analysis of 3-D and structure. The purpose of this study is to prevent from a problem which may happen after this and to produce more reliable machine-tool by carrying out and finding out an adequate countermeasure for bed at the cutting position.

생산성을 중시한 초경합금 소재 마이크로 드릴의 최적 형상설계 (Optimum Shape Design of Cemented Carbide Micro-drill in Consideration of Productivity)

  • Recently reduction of industrial products in size and weight has been increased by application of micro-drills in gadgets of high precision and a great interest of a micro-drilling has been raised. Due to the lack of tool stiffness and the chip packing, the micro-drilling requires not only the robust tool structure which has not affected by vibration but also effective drilling methods designed to prevent tool fracture from cutting troubles. This paper presents an optimum design shape of a 0.15 mm micro-drill associated with a new manufacturing process to improve the production rate and to lengthen the tool life and suggestions on the micro-drilling characteristic properties associated with the tool life and workpiece quality.

마이크로 드릴링을 이용한 미세압출다이 가공에 관한 연구 (A study on the machining of micro-extruding die using micro-drilling)

  • The micro-extruding die is a die for manufacturing of fine-wire by extruding process. The fine-wire made from the micro-extruding can be effectively applied to fields of semiconductor parts and medical parts etc. It is predicted that the demand of fine-wire in industry is more and more increasing. In this study $\phi50\mu m$ micro-drill which is coated with diamond is used for drilling of super micro-hole sizes. For the machining of taper parts of entrance and exit, drill having $\phi50\mu\textrm{mm}$ inclination angle $20^{\circ}$and angle $30^{\circ}$ is used. This is useful for anti tool-breakage and excessive too-wear in drilling process. After micro-drilling, the polishing process by diamond abrasive and polishing wood s carried out for increasing surface roughness.
