초등영어교육에서의 영어연극 활용법 (An applied English drama in primary English education)

  • This study aims to illustrate the value of teaching English drama in the course of teaching primary English and suggests a model for primary English drama in an English camp for Children. Drama is the world of assumption where language is used just like in real life. It has a positive effect on foreign language learning by encouraging the operation of certain psychological factors which facilitate oral communication. Dramatic techniques such as storytelling, role play, chant, song and games can be used in the EFL classroom to help bring about such results. Meanwhile, making a primary English drama in an English camp for Children would be practical mode to attain the essential purpose of EFL teaching particularly to get over the drawbacks of Korean students' communicative competence under the school's inflexible EFL education curriculum. In this paper, I will present the effectiveness of English drama and the skills for using it with ESL students and suggest some notes that can be used to reinforce the goals set out from the position of the teacher, student and teaching material. It is confirmed that the trained leader, students' affirmative attitude and systematic teaching materials are needed to maximize the effects of drama activities. In addition to that, there will be showed a model of instruction targeted to the primary students learning English in an English camp for Children.

2000년대 전문직 드라마의 특징과 발전 양상 (Specialized Job Drama's Traits and Aspects of Development in 2000's)

  • 2000년대 후반기에 지상파 방송은 기존 드라마 소재의 진부함을 극복하고 전문직을 선호하는 사회문화적 현상을 반영하는 전문직 드라마를 대거 편성하였다. 일부 전문직 드라마는 좋은 시청률을 기록했으며 마니아층을 형성할 만큼 성공하였다. 하지만 전반적인 시청률은 낮은 편이며 폭넓은 시청층을 껴안는데 한계를 가지는 것으로 드러났다. 국내 전문직 드라마의 특성은 우선 매우 다양한 전문직 소재를 다루고 있고 직업에 대한 전문적인 지식과 함께 매우 세부적이고 사실적인 표현을 시도하고 있다는 점에서 찾을 수 있다. 또 전문직 소재는 전문직업의 삶과 성공을 중심으로 한 스토리의 창작에 활용되면서, 기존의 멜로 중심 서사구조에서 직업 중심의 서사구조로 유인하는 중요한 동인으로 작용하고 있다. 마지막으로, 서사구조의 특징과 맞물려 전문직 드라마만의 고유한 캐릭터 창조가 이루어지고 있다.

TV 사극 <이산>의 현대적 감각의 의상디자인 개발 - 주요 여자 등장인물들의 의상을 중심으로 - (Development of Costume Design with Contemporary Taste in TV Historical Drama - Focused on the Costume of Main Female Characters -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the process to manufacture costume design of main female characters of TV historical drama and suggest the costume, which is developed with contemporary taste. As study methods, the literature study using books and theses concerning costume, fine art, culture and history were used for theoretical background and the empirical study method manufacturing actual costume on the basis of literature and relic were used for dress manufacture. The study results were as follows. The costume was decided by researching historical investigation material on the basis of synopsis, grasping director's basic intention, setting design direction, preparing design map of each character, selecting style, detail, fabric and color, manufacturing sample and performing camera test. The design concept of was Modern & Chic & Clean, short & fitted chogori, chima with wide & abundant cocoon silhouette, clean & bright colors and 100% silk fabric. For the design discrimination of royal semi-formal costume, color was used to symbolize character and pattern was used to symbolize social status. In addition, detail change was adopted depending on the body shape of actor and there was almost no design discrimination in silhouette and fabric. Petticoat of the west, modernization of transitional pattern and change of detail were adopted as design elements to add contemporary taste.

조대(朝代)별 비교를 통해 본 역사경극의 특징 - 전통극목을 중심으로 (A characteristic of historical Jing-Ju, through the comparison by each period - Focusing on traditional repertory)

  • The background of historical Jing-Ju is a history, but the history Chinese wants to watch on the stage is the history dramatized by talented actors/actresses, not the history they want to learn. This thesis intends to examine traditional repertories whose background is historical people or accidents, among the lots of Jing-Ju repertories by each period, grasp periods, accidents, people, etc. preferred by Chinese and examine how they were dramatized. The general characteristics of historical Jing-Ju, grasped by each period, are as follows. The first, for the reason that there are lots of historical Jing-Ju in opera repertories, it can be mentioned by Chinese descriptive tradition and historical tradition. As lots of Chinese novels and drama works were written by history, basic models are suggested and clear development is shown, so there is an aspect which is advantageous for dramatization. Also, there are lots of works whose material is history for not only opera but also drama, TV drama because of the characteristics of China where historical books such as "史記", "戰國策", etc. The second, the period which is the background of historical Jing-Ju focuses on 漢 period, 三國 period, 隋唐 period, 宋 period and 明 period. It seems to be reflected by Chinese superiority to some degree if considering Jing-Ju was extremely popular during the 民國 period. The third, there are many characters who have patriotism loyalty among the historical Jing-Ju. It seems to be the result of discovering lots of materials for appealing patriotism in the situation they were dominated by Japan and the West during the 民國 period. The forth, the most single material is "三國志" among the historical Jing-Ju. This material has the factors of traditional idea, loyalty, fidelity, etc, but there are the most interesting characters and they were popularized by novels, etc. The fifth, in the historical Jing-Ju, the contents and character forms can be sometimes changed by character's skill because character's artistic achievement can play a great role for the completion of Jing-Ju.

지속가능 발전을 위한 소비자 교육용 교육 연극 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Educational Drama Programme to Execute Consumer Education for Sustainable Development)

  • Consumer education which changes human value and attitude to attain practice is necessary to solve the problem of environmental, social, and economical sustainability resulted from material and present-oriented consumption and decrease the effect of consumption on the sustainabilities. However, since the present consumer education is biased toward a traditional viewpoint of economical consumption, management of allowances, and rational purchase and its teaching method still stays on memorizing, cramming and one sided lecture, consumer education containing a key value of sustainable development have not been carried out successfully, Specifically, the consumer education in an elementary school treats mainly just on environmental conservation and economical knowledge even though quite much time is arranged in every school year. So, complement of contents such as understanding of relation between natural resources and consumption and the role and responsibility of a consumer is required to emphasis the sustainable development. In this work, a student-oriented educational drama programme for consumer education is developed with respect to an familiar theme of resources such as water, wood, food, and electricity. Educational drama is an efficient teaching method for consumer education of an elementary school student since it makes students experience virtual situation and produce an interest and active participation. How to execute consumer education in an elementary school textbook was analyzed and an educational drama programme was developed and applied, and finally, the programme was qualitatively improved. The paper survey on five teachers practicing the present programme reveals that is it can be affirmatively evaluated since it is familiar to students and leads to their interests and participation. Consequently, it can be confirmed that the present programme can be effective to perform consumer education for sustainable development.

TV 사극 <이산>의 현대적 감각의 남자 궁중의상디자인 개발 (The Design Development of Man's Royal Costume in TV Historical Drama )

  • The purpose of this study was to develop royal costume design with contemporary taste depending on the character of hero, Lee San, and time flow of TV historical drama and research design discrimination and creative expression. As study methods, the literature study using books and theses concerning costume, fine art, culture and history were used for theoretical background and the empirical study method manufacturing actual costume on the basis of literature and relic were used for dress manufacture. The design concept of costume was modern & chic & clean. The costume was designed through straight silhouette, clean & bright colors excluding prime colors, style transformed to permanent straight pleats on the basis of chulik, 100% silk material focusing on high quality and pattern & decoration of the age of Three Kingdoms. As results, the designs of princess' official rob, day dress and chulik, and emperor's official robe, chulik, military dress and chun-dam-bok were developed. The design discrimination depending on social status change. In the period of princess, black, white, silver and blue were used but in the period of emperor, red, gold and black were used. It was expressed through dragon pattern and extended length used in cloth. The design discrimination depending on character change was visualized through color. Although it is not consistent with historical investigation, contemporary fashion design elements were added to royal costume through color contrast of black & white, permanent straight pleats, velcore, wristlet, extended length and layered-look.

우리나라 민속무의 복식구조에 관한 연구 (A study on the structure ofter dress, arrangement and costume on the Korean folk dance)

  • This thesis chiefly to investigate and study about the historic transition of the dress and ornament which is based on the costume of the folk dance. The folk dance is devide into the styled of the Court and common people I. Investigated and studied on the description of Hak-mu (the crane), Ryun-wha-dae (the lotus blossom) and chu-yong dance (a mask drama) which are the typical models among the folk dance on the view of the scale and history of playing. This research materials are made on abstract of Ak-Hak-Gyae-Bum (the pattern of the music which was compiled by Sung-hyun on the King of Sung-Jong of Yi-dynasdty) and selected from the conservation material and playing in the National Classical Music Bureau nowadays. I am sure the understanding the style of common people is to investigate and research the folk dance which is specified and conserved by cultural property control Bureau. Generally Bong-San mask dance is the typical mask drama on the view of the scale and transmitted, which occupies the wide range of the folk dance. So I selected it as the research material. I am interested in the historic origin and the structure of the dress and ormant conserved till the nowadays and so can catch the hidden conception about the colour and concern of religion in the Korean peculiar living consciousness. From this point, the study of the classical folk costume is activated in this part and I hope this poor article will become a small assistance for another study.

한국어 학습자를 위한 드라마 <도깨비> 속 관용표현 교육 방안 연구 (A Study Regarding Education Method on Idiomatic Expressions Appearing in the Korean Drama for Learners of Korean Language)

  • 이 연구는 일상생활에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 드라마를 한국어 교육에 활용하여 한국어 관용표현의 효율적 교수·학습 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한국어 학습자들의 흥미와 교육적 효과를 높이기 위해서 한국에서 인기리에 방영된 드라마 <도깨비>를 교육 자료로 활용하였다. 관용표현은 한국의 역사와 문화, 사회적 배경을 통해 형성되어 사용하고 있기 때문에 한국의 문화와 정서가 담겨있는 드라마는 관용표현의 교수·학습에 적합한 자료라고 할 수 있다. 한국어 교육용 관용표현을 선정하기 위해 드라마 <도깨비>를 분석하여 실제 발화된 어휘를 바탕으로 드라마 내에서 277개의 유의미한 어휘를 추출하였다. 그중 중복 표현된 어휘를 제외하고 기준으로 124개의 관용표현을 분류하였다. 이렇게 분류한 관용표현은 사용 빈도 2회 이상의 어휘를 기본으로 하여 학습자 수준에 맞는 교육용 관용표현 선정을 위해 어휘의 난이도를 고려하여 최종 한국어 교육용 관용표현 46개를 선정하였다. 마지막으로 드라마 <도깨비>에서 선정한 자료를 교육적으로 활용할 때 교수·학습의 유의사항과 초급, 중급, 고급 등급별 관용표현의 교육 방향을 제시하였다.

영상자료가 지니는 외국어 학습 자료로서의 가치 : 공손한 언어를 중심으로 (The Value of Film as Material for Learning a Foreign Language: Using Posh Discourse)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 영어권 나라의 영화나 드라마가 외국어 학습 자료로서의 가치가 있는지를 공손한 언어를 중심으로 고찰해 보는 것이다. 영어를 학습할 때 의사소통 능력의 강조로 많은 학습자들은 실용적 표현을 습득하는데 중점을 두는 경향이 있다. 하지만 우리는 살아가면서 같은 말이라도 상대방을 기분 좋게 할 수 있고, 상대방의 호의를 거절하거나 불쾌한 정보를 전달해야 할 경우 상대방의 기분을 고려해서 최대한 신중하고 예의바르게 말하는 경우도 있다. 따라서 우리가 사회적 관계를 맺고 살아나가기 위해서 일상생활 속 공손한 언어의 학습은 필수적이다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 영국 드라마 다운튼 애비(Downton Abbey)를 이용하여 이 드라마에서 사용된 공손한 언어를 분석하고 제 2언어 학습 시 공손한 표현을 의식적으로 학습할 필요가 있음을 강조한다. 또한 실제 교실 현장에서는 이러한 공손한 표현들을 실질적으로 어떻게 학습해야 하는지가 중요하다. 다운튼 애비에 나타난 공손한 언어를 장기 기억으로 내재화하기 위한 조별 학습 활동으로 동영상 촬영하기와 캐릭터 파악하기를 제안한다. 다양한 장르와 다채로운 주제를 지닌 영상자료는 학습자가 학습하고자 하는 외국어의 다양한 언어 기능을 모두 보여줄 수 있는 매우 폭넓은 콘텐츠이다. 외국어 학습자라면 영화나 드라마, 시트콤을 자신의 학습 목적에 맞는 학습 자료로 활용한다면 학습의 동기부여와 흥미 증진에 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

Agent "M" -'혐오'의 장치와 리빙 데드의 (비)인간 (Agent "M" -The Apparatus of "Hate" and Human or Non-Human Beings as Living Dead)

  • 이 글은 낙태 문제를 다룬 텔레비전 드라마 을 물질성, 관계성, 행위주체성 등의 이론적 초점과 연결시켜 행위적 현실(agential reality)의 축도로서 회절적으로 독해하려는 시도다. 캐런 바라드의 행위적 실재론(agential realism)에 따르면, 텔레비전 드라마 은 당대의 의료기술, 괴담과 전설, 그리고 남성중심적 정동 등의 물질적이고 담론적인 장치들의 행위적 내부작용을 통해 산출된 사회문화적 현상이라 할 수 있다. 1990년대는 기술, 담론, 정동 등의 장치들을 통해 '혐오'를 반복적으로 드러내는데, 이는 여성의 젠더화된 신체를 향한다. 성형과 낙태라는 물질적-담론적 실천은 몸을 둘러싼 행위적 현실이 의료 기술은 물론, 젠더화된 혐오의 정동과 긴밀하게 엮여 있다는 사실을 예증한다. 이와 관계된 또 다른 물질적-담론적 현상으로서 괴담의 유행과 전설의 재발견 역시 탈자연화된 몸에 대한 혐오의 정동으로부터 생산되고, 이 정동을 다시 한 번 확대재생산하고 있음을 방증한다. 이러한 정동 환경 속에서 등장한 은 회절(diffraction)을 상연하는데, 이는 테크노-신체의 물질화에 대한 포스트휴먼적 함축을 결여한 채 백래시의 역행적 힘에 따라 이루어진다. 은 역사적으로 틀 지워지고, 맥락 속에서 정의된 '인간(Man)'에 대한 휴머니즘적 가정들을 보편적인 정의(justice)로서 앞세운다. 이것은 어디까지나 휴머니즘의 젠더화된 정의(definition)일 뿐이다. '낙태죄' 폐지 이후, COVID-19 감염증 유행과 함께, 의료 기술 및 담론, 신체적 물질을 둘러싼 정동이 격렬히 내부작용하는 현재는 이 애써 거부한 인간의 대안적 정의에 대해 신중하게 사유하고 응답해야 할 때다.
