In this paper, we investigate the encoding and decoding method of turbo codes that offer a variety of coding rates from 1/3 to 6/7 in Digital Video Broadcast Return Channel via Satellite (DVB-RCS) standard to provide ship-internet service with high-quality.

The torque efficiency of oil hydraulic pump is an important factor for it's performance characteristics. A study on the performance test method of oil hydraulic pump is based on test standard, but there is to be desired an study for double or tandem type oil hydraulic piston pump. So in this study present a test method on the tandem pump for torque efficiency and analysis method of the results.

In this paper, we present a coprocessor that can operate with ARM microprocessors. The coprocessor supports IEEE 754 standard single- and double-precision binary floating point arithmetic operations. The design objective is to achieve minimum-area, low-power and acceleration of processing power of ARM microprocessors. The instruction set is compatible with ARM7500FE. The coprocessor is written in verilog HDL and synthesized by the SYNOPSYS Design Compiler. The gate count is 38,115 and critical path delay is 9.52ns.

In the reduction gears for marine propulsion engine such as turbine or high speed diesel engine, the standard involute double helical gears are generally used. However the addendum modification gear can be used in the reduction gear as it has flexibility for gear design on the tooth strength, scoring and operating noise. In this case, the determination of gear shaft bearing load is difficult by the alternation of operating pressure angle. In this paper, the formulas of bearing load according to the arrangements of the reduction gears are derived and the diagrams of operating pressure angle according to the modification coefficient are presented.

We implemented a code searcher which is used for the PN(pseudo noise) code acquisition in CDMA cellular mobile station. To reduce the reuired hardware and the code acquisition time, we used the double dwell structure which is an effective serial code acquisition metho. We designed a code acquisition has acquired within 1/2 PN chip range. The code searcher is implemented using 0.8 micron code searcher is successfully working in CDMA cellular mobile station and it satisfies the code acquisition time specified in IS-95 standard.

In this paper, a novel delta/double-fork transformer based 18-pulse full-wave AC-DC converter is designed, modeled, simulated and developed to feed isolated DC varying loads. The proposed AC-DC converter is used for low voltage and large current DC loads in applications such as electrowinning, where isolation is required mainly for stepping down the supply voltage. The proposed converter improves power quality at AC mains and meets IEEE-519 standard requirements at varying loads.

This study investigated 1) actual rates of sexual intercourse and relating variables among college students and workers and 2) the trend of premarital sexual attitudes. Data for 538 were used Reiss' Premarital Sexual Permissiveness Scale question are. The major findings were as follows ; 1) Actual sexual intercourse rates is higher than the past especially in women, yet there is significant difference between man and woman. 2) double standard for premarital sexuality remains in our culture. The degree of premarital sexual permissiveness to man is higher than that of woman. Both man and woman have more permissive permarital sexual attiaudes to man. Nevertheless, the result that the degree to which each sexual behavior was accepted increased with each relationship stage implicates " permissiveness with affection" to be the sexual standard accepted by young adults. 3) Age is higher, premarital sexual attitudes are more liberal, and the extend of peer group' sexual intercourse experience is higher, the rate of sexual intercourse is higher both man and woman.

This paper presents an advanced RFID reader system implementing multi-protocols and multi-standards at 900MHz. In accordance with the strict regulations specified by ISO 18000-6 B-Type and EPC Global Gen 2, we have designed corresponding systemic factors which meet the domestic radio frequency utilizing bands of 910-914MHz. In addition, we develop numerous crucial factors of system compatibility options including SSB (Single-Side Band) and DSB (Double-Side Band) specifications, also OOK (On-Off Keying), ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) and PR-ASK (Phase Reversed-Amplitude Shift Keying) modulation formula. Remarkable technical features of system in this paper can be the direct conversion routines using I/Q Modulation/Demodulation respectively, and Full-Duplex formulation operating at identical frequency bands.

This paper describes the standard system for calibrating pulse generator of partial discharge(PD) and its uncertainty. The system is consisted of digital pulse generator, digital recorder and evaluation software. The uncertainty requirement of calibrator charge is less than $\pm$ (0.1pC + 0.03q) and that of pulse duration is less than $\pm$ 10 %. The system can generate various kind of calibration pulses such as single pulse, double pulses, oscillation pulse, long-duration pulse, random pulses and evaluate their uncertainty.
