  • Using computer-aided design and manufacturing technique improve quality of treatment in many aspect. This case reports the complete mouth rehabilitation of a patient with amelogenesis imperfecta utilizing digital technology. Clinical examination revealed loss of mastication due to insufficient occlusal stop, missing teeth, interdental spacing due to microdontia, insufficient overbite, and etc. Full veneer crowns for teeth were selected, followed by a fixed partial denture and implant placement was done using CAD-CAM guide template with bone graft for partially edentulous space. Definitive restorations were duplicated by double scanning provisional restorations and successfully delivered to the patient. These full mouth rehabilitation procedures resulted in satisfactory outcomes for the patient functionally and aesthetically.

  • Crossed occlusion can be treated either by overdenture and telescopic denture or by placing an implant at the edentulous area to reestablish the support on the occlusion. If alveolar bony support is sufficient and an the environment where an implant is inserted is favorable to restoring the masticatory and aesthetic function of a patient, the implant-supported fixed prosthesis can provide more definitive occlusal support and more aid for other oral functions. In this case report, a patient with a severe residual alveolar bone resorption following the extraction of teeth and who had a crossed occlusion was treated with sinus bone graft and alveolar bone augmentation in order to place the implants at prosthetically position. The definitive restoration was made to reflect the patient's occlusal and aesthetic function using the CAD/CAM double scanning method. Finally, the treatment had the masticatory and aesthetic function adequately restored, which is reported here.

  • When restoring with a dental digital system for implant-supported prosthesis, a double digital scanning technique is required: an intraoral scan of the three-dimensional implant location and intraoral scan after placement of temporary denture or provisional prosthesis. During the intraoral scan, the use of scan body as a stable landmark can improve the accuracy of digital impression and simplify laboratory process. In this case, a full-digital system was used to plan and fabricate a custom abutment, provisional prosthesis, and definitive prosthesis. After implant placement, the scan area of the intraoral scan body connected with implant and the intraoral scan body marked on the inside of temporary denture were superimposed. Out of the superimposed files, a custom abutment and provisional prosthesis were fabricated which match the vertical dimension of temporary denture, and definitive prosthesis was fabricated based on provisional prosthesis. We report this case because result has been functionally and esthetically satisfactory by using vertical dimension and central relation set during the fabrication of temporary denture to the definitive prosthesis.

  • In this investigation, we describe a metrological technique for surface and thickness profiles of a silicon (Si) wafer by using a 6 degree of freedom (DOF) stitching method. Low coherence scanning interferometry employing near infrared light, partially transparent to a Si wafer, is adopted to simultaneously measure the surface and thickness profiles of the wafer. For the large field of view, a stitching method of the sub-aperture measurement is added to the measurement system; also, 6 DOF parameters, including the lateral positioning errors and the rotational error, are considered. In the experiment, surface profiles of a double-sided polished wafer with a 100 mm diameter were measured with the sub-aperture of an 18 mm diameter at $10\times10$ locations and the surface profiles of both sides were stitched with the sub-aperture maps. As a result, the nominal thickness of the wafer was $483.2{\mu}m$ and the calculated PV values of both surfaces were $16.57{\mu}m$ and $17.12{\mu}m$, respectively.

  • Ultrathin networks of itaconic acid copolymers and poly(allylamine) were produced by a Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique employing a double-chain amine as a monolayer template which was subsequently removed by extraction after thermal crosslinking. Itaconic acid copolymers used were copoly (itaconic acid-ethyl vinyl ether) and copoly (itaconic acid-n-butyl vinyl ether). The polyion-complexed monolayers of three components consisting of template amine, itaconic acid copolymer and poly (allylamine) were formed at the air-water interface. The Langmuir film properties have been studied by the surface pressure-area isotherm and fluorescence microscopy. The monolayers were transferred on solid substrates and were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Two-dimensional polymer networks were formed through imide or amide linkages by heat treatment under vacuum. The heat-treated films were extracted with chloroform after immersion in aq. sodium chloride to remove the template amines. SEM observation of a LB film on a porous fluorocarbon membrane filter with pore diameter of 0.1 μm showed covering of the pores by six layers in the polyion complex state.

  • Many organizations divide the network to manage the network in order to prevent the leakage of internal data between separate organizations / departments by sending and receiving unnecessary traffic. The most fundamental network separation method is based on physically separate equipment. However, there is a case where a network is divided and operated logically by utilizing a virtual LAN (VLAN) network access control function that can be constructed at a lower cost. In this study, we first examined the possibility of bypassing the logical network separation through VLAN ID scanning and double encapsulation VLAN hopping attack. Then, we showed and implemented a data leak scenario by utilizing the acquired VLAN ID. Furthermore, we proposed a simple and effective technique to detect and prevent the double encapsulation VLAN hopping attack, which is also implemented for validation. We hope that this study improves security of organizations that use the VLAN-based logical network separation by preventing internal data leakage or external cyber attack exploiting double encapsulation VLAN vulnerability.

  • Regeration of natural tissuesor to create biological substitutes for defective or lost tissues and organs through the use of cells. In addition to cells and their porous, drugs are required to promote tissue regeneration. Therefore, the present studies were prepared using simvastatim loaded porous poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) by double emulsion solvent evaporation water-in-oil-in-water technique (W/O/W) as drug delivery system strategies for injuring tissue. The resulting microspheres were evaluated for morphology, particle size, encapsulation efficiency, degradation of PLGA microspheres in vitro drug release and in vitro cell viability. Scanning electronic microscopic (SEM) showed that the porosities of the particles was changed by experimental conditions and cultured cells were attached well on porous microspheres surface. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calometry (DSC) analysis indicate thatsimvastatim was highly dipersed in the microsphere at amorphousstate.

  • NiCr thin film was deposited by DC magnetron sputtering on $A;_2O_3$/Si substrate with NiCr (80:20) alloy target. NiCr thin films were annealed at $300^{\circ}C,\;400^{\circ}C,\;500^{\circ}C,\;600^{\circ}C,\;and\;700^{\circ}C$ for 6 hr in $H_2$ after annealing at $500^{\circ}C$ for 6hr in air atmosphere, respectively. To analyze NiCr thin film properties, the changes of its micro structure were Investigated through field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to analyze a surface of NiCr thin film. Resistance of NiCr thin film was measured by 4-point probe technique. The generated heats were measured by infrared thermometer through the application of DC voltage (5 V/l2 V). NiCr thin film treated by gradational double annealing process had uniform and small grains. Maximum temperature generated heat by NiCr micro heater was $173^{\circ}C$. We expect that our results will be a useful reference in the realization of NiCr micro heater.

  • The purpose of our study is to shorten the scanning time and minimize the inconveniences of the patients in acquisition of the black blood images using the signal void effect in the fast spin echo technique while keeping the diagnostic value of the test. Thirty-two consecutive patients who underwent black blood MR imaging were examed with additional double inversion recovery (DIR) sequence and the conventional fast spin echo (FSE) sequence. Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) of the internal carotid arteries' lumen were compared in T1 and T2 weighted images to determine whether there are differences between the two techniques for depiction of the signal void effect inside the vessel wall. The FSE images showed lower SNR values than the DIR images in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images (11.49% and 13.66% respectively). While the CNR values were higher in the FSE images than in the DIR images in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images (8.69% and 7.55% respectively). There was no significant difference between the two techniques for either of the SNR or CNR (p>0.05, p>0.05 respectively). The DIR and the FSE images demonstrated almost identical imaging patterns. Therefore, it is anticipated that the use of FSE technique in acquisition of the black blood imaging could reduce the inconveniences of the patients during the scanning and minimize exam time while keeping the diagnostic value of the test.

  • Ultra thin tantalum nitride (TaNx) films with various thicknesses (10 nm to 40 nm) have been deposited by rf magnetron sputtering technique on glass substrates. The as deposited films were systematically characterized by several analytical techniques such as X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, UV-Vis-NIR double beam spectrophotometer and four point probe method. From the XRD results, the as deposited films are in amorphous nature, irrespective of the film thicknesses. The films composition was changed greatly with increasing the film thickness. SEM micrographs exhibited the densely pack microstructure, and homogeneous surface covered by small size grains at lower thickness deposited films. The surface roughness of the films was linearly increases with increasing the films thickness, consequently the transmittance decreased. The absorption edge was shifted towards higher wavelength as the film thickness increases.
