In this study, we fabricated a fiber-optic phantom dosimeter by arraying square type of plastic optical fibers in a PMMA phantom for measuring relative depth doses of therapeutic photon beams. To minimize the cross-talk between fiber-optic dosimeters, we selected appropriate septum by measuring leaked scintillating lights according to the various kinds of septa. In addition, we measured percentage depth doses of 6, 15 MV photon beams using a fiber-optic phantom dosimeter.
The electronics of a mobile robot ill nuclear facilities is required to satisfied the reliability to sustain survival in its radiation environment. To know how much radiation the robot has been encountered to replace sensitive electronic parts, a dosimeter to measure total accumulated dose is necessary. Among many radiation dosimeters or detectors, semiconductor radiation sensors have advantages in terms of power requirements and their sires over conventional detectors. This paper describes the use of the radiation-induced threshold voltage change of a commercial power pMOSFET as an accumulated radiation dose monitoring mean and that of the photo-current of a commercial PIN Diode as a dose-rate measurement mean. Commercial p-type power MOSFETs and PIN Diodes were tested in a Co-60 gamma irradiation facility to see their capabilities as radiation sensors. We found an inexpensive commercial power pMOSFET that shows good linearity in their threshold voltage shift with radiation dose and a PIN diode that shows good linearity in its photo-current change with dose-rate. According to these findings, a radiation hardened hybrid electronic radiation dosimeter for nuclear robots has been developed for the first time. This small hybrid dosimeter has also an advantage in the point of view of reliability improvement by using a diversity concept.
To propose a basis for the selection of personal dosimeters to measure radiation dose administration of radiation workers as a way to evaluate the usefulness dosimeter. For the dosimetry of the radiation workers 2012, during 1 year, 30 were radiation workers to measure personal dose. By personal exposure is measured cumulative dose, is investigated the performance of the TLD, PLD, OSLD. And comparing the measured value of each dosimeter dose and analyzed. Medical institutions, inspection work and quarterly confirmed the cumulative exposure dose of radiation workers. Using DAP and Ion-Chamber, to measure to compare TLD, PLD, OSLD dosimeter performance. A comparison of the directly through the X-ray dosimeter and The absolute value of the Ion-Chamber, OSLD more similar than in the TLD and PLD showed the dose values so the excellent ability to measure the results. Also in radiation generating area dose of radiation workers is higher than that in OSLD. Consequently, in terms of the individual exposure management OSLD is appropriated and beneficial than others.

The measurement of radiation response using simple and informative techniques would be of great value in studying the genetic risk following occupational, therapeutic, or accidental exposure to radiation. When patients receive radiation therapy, many suffer from side effects. Since each patient receives a different dose due to different physical conditions, it is important to measure the exact dose of radiation received by each patient to lessen the side effects. Even though several biological dosimetric systems have already been developed, there is no ideal system that can satisfy all the criteria for an idean dosimetric system, especially for low-dose radiation as used in radiation therapy. In this study, an SOS Chromotest of E. coli PQ37 was evaluated as a novel dosimeter for low-dose gamma-rays. E. coli PQ37 was originally developed to screen chemical mutagens using the SOS Chromotest-a colorimtric assay, based on the induction of ${\beta}$-galactosidase ue to DNA damage. The survival fraction of E. coli PQ37 decreased dose-dependently with an increasing dose of cobalt-60 gamma-rays. Also, a good linear correlation was found between the biological damage revealed by the ${\beta}$-galactosidase expression and the doses of gamma-rays. The expression of ${\beta}$-galactosidase activity that responded to low-dose radiation under 1 Gy was $Y=0.404+(0.089{\pm}0.3)D+(-0.018{\pm}0.16)D^2$ (Y, absorbance at 420 nm; D, Dose of irradiation) as calculated using Graph Pad In Plot and Excel. When a rabbit was fed with capsules containing an agar block embdded with E. coli PQ37 showed a linear response to the radiation doses. Accordingly, the results confirm that E. coli PQ37 can be used as a sensitive biological dosimeter fro cobalt-60 gamma-rays. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that a bacterium has been used as a biological dosimeter, especially for low-dose radiation.
In this study, we have fabricated a fiber-optic dosimeter using an organic scintillator and a plastic optical fiber. The dosimeter measure skin dose and percentage depth dose in a build-up region for an incident high energy photon beam. The scintillating light generated in the organic sensor probe embedded in a solid water phantom is guided by 30 m plastic optical fiber to a light-measuring device such as a PMT or an electrometer. In addition, using a fiber-optic dosimeter or a GAFCHROMIC EBT film, skin dose and percentage depth dose in the build-up region are measured and compared.

Purpose It is intended to improve the management efficiency of personal dosimeters by analyzing and sharing personal dosimeter loss cases and loss prevention measures. Materials and Methods From 2017 to 2021, data on the number of lost personal dosimeters were collected at large hospitals, and the number of personal dosimeters issued and lost were investigated. Results In order to prevent loss by institution, methods such as the use of auxiliary rings, contact stickers and dosimeter necklaces were implemented. Conclusion Hospitals are a business that frequently changes clothes, such as surgical gowns and work clothes, so there is a lot of loss. In addition, it was confirmed that the loss rate increases as the number of personal dosimeters issued increases.
In-vivo dosimetry is an essential tool of quality assurance programs in radiotherapy. The most commonly used techniques to verify dose are thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD) and diode detectors. Metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) has been recently proposed for using in radiation therapy with many advantages. The reproducibility, linearity, isotropy, dose rate dependence of the MOSFET dosimeter were studied and its availability was verified. Consequently the results can be used to improve therapeutic planning procedure and minimize treatment errors in radiotherapy.
Fricke dosimeter solution in chemical dosimeters consists of Ferrous sulfate, Sodium chloride and Sulfuric acid. Authors made a new experiment on the characteristics of dosimeter solution with Ammonium Thiocyanate and the results obtained were as follows; 1. The chemical oxidation response after irradiation was very rapid(within fifteen minutes). 2. A preventive measure of the spontaneous oxidation as time goes on was possible to use 0.1 mM instead of 1mM Ferrous sulfate solution. 3. 477nm in wavelength of spectrophotometer was most ideal to measure optical density in this solution

We propose in the present work how the reference glass dosimeters can be introduced, which reflects the user irradiation condition. The reference glass dosimeters are used for correcting the reader fluctuation by reading it with sample glass dosimeters at the same time. Since they can be used without annealing after irradiation for long periods, one should consider both the fading effect and the natural background dose accumulation quantitatively. We construct an empirical but practical formalism of evaluating the absorbed dose on the glass dosimeter with the fading effect and the natural background dose accumulation considered.
