Since the opening of Korean high-speed rail, KTX in 2004, the use of trains in Korea soared. Improved rail technology, as well as the speed of the train was developed. However, the development of the train speed raised new issues of Doppler effect and this effect compensation. Depending on the speed of communication target, Doppler effect generates frequency shifting and this effect leads to a distortion of the signal. For this reason, the Doppler effect adversely affect the communication performance. Therefore, the Doppler effect problem must be solved for the railway wireless communication. In this paper, we present technique of compensation for the Doppler effect that occurs in high-speed railway communication and simulation result.

A new laser Doppler velocimeter employing a $CO_2$ laser has been developed by using its photoacoustic effect. A change in the pressure of a discharge, induced by mixing of a returned wave with an originally existing wave inside the cavity, is employed to detect the Doppler frequency shift. We found that a Doppler frequency shift as much as 34 KHz was detected, and also a good linear relationship between the velocity and the Doppler frequency shift was obtained.

MANET(Mobile Ad hoc Networks) is free-mobility formation of mobile nodes in the wireless networks. Generally, wireless networks has two main type of structures which Tree and Mesh. These general structure is difficult to do which connectivity, redundancy transmit and network continuant. In this paper, we would suggest a new ODDMRP(Ontology Doppler effect-based Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol) technology for effective MANET which Ontology Doppler effect-based. ODDMRP consist of the parameters for node entropy when using Doppler effect which moving position of round node, moving time, and distribution chart in velocity also it express distance of destination node and property structure organization. It would be used to provide improvement to keep the optimal communication routing and also could be improve network stabilization, and continuation durability of connectivity.
The transcranial Doppler(TCD) is a technique for measuring blood flow velocity of intracranial and extarcranial arteries. This examination based on Doppler effect which was first formulated in 1842 by the Austrian physicist Christian Doppler. In 1982, Rune Aaslid first maked 2MHz pulsed probe and recording intracranial vessels with transcranially. There are six criteria utilized in gaining positive identification of the intracranial vessels. The six criteria are as follows l)acoustical windows 2)depth of sample volume 3)direction of flow 4)spatial relationship of ACA and MCA bifurcation 5)mean velocity and 6)response common carotid artery compression and/or oscillation test. The affected factors for TCD examination are angle of insonation, posture of subject, age, gender, hematocrit, metabolic factors, and cardiac output. Clinical application of TCD are detection of stenosis, occlusion, emboli, thrombsis in intracranial and extracranial arteries and evaluation of cerebral arterovenous malformation, collateral capacity in the circle of Willis, ischemia cerebrovascular disease, stroke patient and vertebrobasilar system.

In this paper, we propose a path loss model with the multiple antennas and doppler shift for high speed railroad communication. Path loss model is very important in order to design consider diverse characteristic in high-speed train communication. Currently wireless communication systems use the multiple antennas in order to improve the channel capacity or diversity gain. However, until recently, many researches on path loss model only consider geographical environment between the transmitter and the receiver. There is no study about path loss model considering diversity effect and doppler shift. In order to make average residuals considering doppler shift we use tuned free space path loss model which is utilized for measurement results at high speed railroad. The environment of high speed rail is mostly at viaduct and flatland over than 50 percent. And in order to make average residuals considering multiple antenna we use theoretical estimation of diversity gain with MRC scheme. proposed model predict loss of received signal by estimating average residuals between diversity effect and doppler shift.
This preliminary study describes the self-mixing effect of laser diode for the measurement of tissue blood flow. A self-mixing effect of laser diode was detected by the single-mode laser diode and the moving target, and the Doppler shifted frequency was thanked linearly with the driving frequency of speaker. The measured Doppler shifted frequency was compared with the simulated data.

ODFM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technique is suitable for high speed data transfer both in wired/wireless channels, and is actively studied recently. Among them, WiBro based on IEEE 802.16 uses ODFM as its core technology, and is currently trying to expand market through commercialization. Therefore, if it's used for high speed moving object(KTX, airplane..etc) in near future, there is a possibility of ICI(inter-carrier interference) to occur due to DFS(Doppler Frequency Shift), a critical weak point of ODFM System. This study suggests 3 compensation techniques for Doppler effects in ODFM system operating through satellite, and confirms improved performance through constellation and BER curve.
This study deals with a method to localize a noise source occuring in a marine vehicle in a 3D environment. Even when access to the noise source is limited for a marine vehicle, such as a ship or a submarine in operation, the signal received on a hydrophone located elsewhere contains Doppler effected noise by moving relatively. This study suggests noise localization algorithm in 3D based on Doppler effect by moving marine vehicle. Using a known source mounted on the vehicle, the noise source was estimated by reducing the range of Doppler center and closest point of approach via the least square method. The algorithm was verified through various simulations and it was shown that the noise could be localized in 3D based on Doppler effect by employing two fixed hydrophones located at the vehicle's exterior points and a known reference signal generator located somewhere on the vehicle.

Accurate ranging is one of the key factors in the test and evaluation process of underwater vehicles. In particular, when estimating range using Time of Arrival (ToA) values, signals such as Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM), a chirp signal, are highly applicable due to their correlated nature. However, in a Doppler shift environment with mobility, measurement errors may occur due to the range-Doppler coupling effect. In this paper, we propose a signal that compensates for the distance-Doppler coupling effect to reduce the measurement error of the arrival time value. The proposed signal is constructed by superimposing two types of LFM signals, and the range-Doppler coupling effect can be minimized. Through simulations, it is confirmed that the proposed signal is a way to compensate for the distance-Doppler coupling effect in the distance estimation of underwater mobile bodies, reducing the measurement error of the arrival time value.
A new laser Doppler velocimeter employing a $CO_2$laser has been developed by using its optogalvanic effect. A change in the electric impedance of a discharge, induced by mixing of a returned wave with an originally existing wave inside the cavity, was employed to detect the Doppler frequency shift. A Doppler frequency shift as much as 60 KHz was detected, and also a good linear relationship between the velocity and the Doppler frequency shift was obtained.
