Highly efficient and rapid aminolysis of epoxides with various amines in water under microwave irradiation in the absence of catalyst was developed. Chiral ${\beta}$-amino alcohols were formed in a short time with excellent yields.

This study deals with an Excel-based scheduling system for a small and medium sized manufacturing factory without sufficient capability for managing full-scale information systems. The factory has the bottleneck with identical machines and unique batching characteristics. The scheduling problem is formulated as a variation of the parallel-machine scheduling system. It can be solved by a two-phase method: the first phase with an ant colony optimization (ACO) heuristic for order grouping and the second phase with a mixed integer programming (MIP) algorithm for scheduling groups on machines.

Microstructural control to produce multiphase structure has received much attention to improve the high temperature strength as well as low temperature ductility of intermetallics. Transmission electron microscopic investigation has been carried out concerning the effect of Cr-precipitation on the mechanical properties of B2-ordered NiAl containing 4 to 8 mol% of Cr. By aging at temperatures around 973 K after solution annealing, fine spherical precipitates took place homogeneously in the NiAl matrix and the alloys hardened appreciably. Selected area electron diffraction (SAED) patterns have not revealed any additional extra-spots during aging, because the Cr-particles show cube-cube orientation relationship and keep a perfect coherency with the ordered matrix lattice. Dislocations were confirmed to bypass the particles during deformation. Although the dispersion of Cr-particles increased the yield strength of NiAl at intermediate temperature, the strength decreased appreciably at higher temperatures.

The purpose of this study is to develop a multireservoir water balance model which may be used to evaluate rural water demands such as agricultural water, domestic water, industrial water and livestock water and to determine effective storage of reservoir. The model was verified to compare the observed reservoir release data with the simulated reservoir release data of the existing Munsan and Dongbu reservoirs located in the Gisan rural district for 3 years('87~'89). For model application, the effective storages of existing reservoirs(Munsan & Dongbu) were evaluated for 10-year frequency drought and that of newly planned reservoirs(Kumbok & Kudong) were determined for 10-year frequency drought. In addition, the behavior of effective storages for existing reservoirs were analyzed in the case of introducing new reservoirs in the existing system.

PEB system is more economical when compared with structures commonly used Hot rolled and welded light H-beam was introduced in the Standard Livestock Housing. This study suggested more economical technology for structural design by the reduction of live load, relief of deflection limit and reduction of importance factor. And, when applying wind Load as a result of examination with Low Rise Building Systems Manual considering open model, we can know that when the wind load is big, enclosed model is more stable than open model. In short, Suggesting more economical model and providing the method to reduce natural disaster, by the application of PEB system and the development of technology for structural design, are considered to strengthen the competitive power of farmhouse.
