JRTR 연구용원자로에 대한 최종 확률론적 안전성평가 (A Study on the Final Probabilistic Safety Assessment for the Jordan Research and Training Reactor)

  • This paper describes the work and the results of the final Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) for the Jordan Research and Training Reactor (JRTR). This final PSA was undertaken to assess the level of safety for the design of a research reactor and to evaluate whether it is probabilistically safe to operate and reliable to use. The scope of the PSA described here is a Level 1 PSA, which addresses the risks associated with core damage. After reviewing the documents and its conceptual design, nine typical initiating events were selected regarding internal events during the normal operation of the reactor. AIMS-PSA (Version 1.2c) was used for the accident quantification, and FTREX was used as the quantification engine. 1.0E-15/yr of the cutoff value was used to deliminate the non-effective Minimal Cut Sets (MCSs) when quantifying the JRTR PSA model. As a result, the final result indicates a point estimate of 2.02E-07/yr for the overall Core Damage Frequency (CDF) attributable to internal initiating events in the core damage state for the JRTR. A Loss of Primary Cooling System Flow (LOPCS) is the dominant contributor to the total CDF by a single initiating event (9.96E-08/yr), and provides 49.4% of the CDF. General Transients (GTRNs) are the second largest contributor, and provide 32.9% (6.65E-08/yr) of the CDF.

  • In this paper the aeroacoustic characteristics of a tilt-rotor system is measured by using a sealed model tilt-rotor. With a microphone array system and the do-dopplerization algorithm, the location and the characteristics of rotor noise are successfully measured. The most of high frequency noise (4kHz) is found to be located at rotor blade tips, but the low frequency tonal noise is dominant on the middle of the rotor blades. The measured tonal noise characteristics are compared to the results of theoretical calculation. At 0.5m distance from the rotor plane, measured and calculated data are relatively well matched regardless of rotating speed and collective pitch angie for the azimuthal angles between $0^{\circ}\;and\;60^{\circ}$. However, the data on the azimuthal angles between $70^{\circ}\;and\;90^{\circ}$ are not quite comparable. In addition, the compared data for far-field case (1.5m) are quite different. This is probably due to the unsteady effect which if not included in the theoretical calculation.

벽온도분포가 정현파인 원관에서 왕복유동에 의한 열전달 해석 (Heat Transfer by an Oscillating Flow in a Circular Pipe with Sinusoidal Wall Temperature Distributions)

  • Heat transfer characteristics of the laminar oscillating flow in a circular pipe have been studied under the condition that the wall temperature of the pipe is distributed sinusoidally with the axial direction. The axial velocity was assumed to be uniform in radial direction and the temperature field was analyzed by means of the perturbation method. The results show that the difference between wall and section-time-averaged fluid temperature increases as the oscillating frequency increases and eventually converges to a constant value which is determined by the ratio of swept distance to the characteristic length of wall temperature distribution. Also it is shown that the dominant variable in the heat transfer process when swept distance ratio is greater than 1 is not thermal Womersley number(F) but thermal Womersley number multiplied by the square root of swept distance ratio. The variation of the time-averaged Nusselt number is obtained as a function of F. The results indicate that Nusselt number is proportional to $F_{\epsilon}^{1/2}$ when both of F and .epsilon. are much greater than 1.

  • In this paper the characteristics of vibration induced by subway trains running on track is discussed. The quantitative prediction of the vibration level and the countermeasure for reduction of necessary, is of importance for the better environment. It was made the constructed Bundang line as first step with the modified Young-Dan type to basis on the Japanese Young-Dan type. In this paper it was measured and analyzed to two region ($ \circled1$Susuh-Bokjung. $ \circled2$Chorim-Suhyun region) of this. at present, operational Bundang line when averaging velocity of train is 60 (km/h). As the response characteristics of frequency Induced by subway operation, it was confirmed that frequency band of neighborhood of 30~80 Hz in generally dominant. Also to assess the quantitative nitration as response level to be measured for each point of two region in subway operation, the vibrational response level was measured at the state to be not subway operation. And the level was approximately $\fraction one-fifth~\fraction one-ten$ level comparing to subway operation.

  • Acoustic power spectrum of the upstream and downstream sound field due to an isotropic frozen turbulent gust impinging on a cascade of flat plate airfoils are computed by using a analytic formulation derived from Smith's method, and Whitehead's LINSUB codes. A parametric study of the effects on sound power of the number of blades and turbulence length scale is performed with an emphasis on analyzing the characteristics of sound power spectrum. Through the comparison of the computed results of sound power, it is found that acoustic power spectrum from the 2-D cascade subject to a ingested turbulence can be categorized into two distinct regions. one is lower frequency region where some spectral components of turbulence do not contribute to the cut-on acoustic modes and therefore the effect of the cascade geometry is more dominant ; the other is higher frequency region where all of spectral components of turbulence make contributions to cut-on acoustic modes and thus acoustic power is approximately proportional to the blade number.

  • The results of study on the active control of naturally occurring combustion oscillations with a single dominant frequency in an atmospheric dump combustor are presented. Control was achieved by an oscillatory infection of secondary fuel at the dump plane. A high speed solenoid valve with a maximum frequency of 250Hz was used as the actuator and a sound level meter, located at the combustor exit, measured the pressure fluctuations which served as the feedback signal for the control loop. Instability characteristics were mapped over a range of mean mixing section velocities from 6.7 m/s-9.3 m/s and with three mixing conditions. Different fuel/air mixing conditions were investigated by introducing varying percentages of primary fuel at two locations, one at the entrance to the mixing section and one 6 mixing tube diameters upstream of the dump plane. Control studies were conducted at a mean velocity of 9.3 m/s, with an air temperature of $415^{\circ}C$, and from flame blowout to the stoichiometric condition.

  • This research investigates the electromechanical characteristics of a sing1e-phase squirrel cage induction motor due to broken rotor bars and rotor eccentricity. Numerical analysis is performed by solving the nonlinear time-stepping finite element equation coupled with the magnetic field equation, circuit equation and mechanical equation of motion. It shows that the asymmetry of magnetic flux due to the broken rotor bars and rotor eccentricity introduce a change in the stator current, torque, speed, magnetic force and vibration of a rotor at the same time. However, even in the existence of rotor eccentricity, 3 broken rotor bar introduces a dominant change in the magnetic force and rotor displacement, i.e., beating phenomenon in time domain and sideband frequencies in frequency spectra, respectively.

  • The circular cavity resonator which can measure the dielectric properties of dielectrics in the Ka-band(26.5GHz~40GHz) frequency range was designed and fabricated. A structure of the resonator is divided into two equal parts of the length and the dielectric plate sample is placed between two halves. Exciting and detecting of the resonator is performed by WR28 rectangular waveguides using Bethe's small hole coupling. The GaAs plate sample, whose permittivity is known to be 13 in millimeter wave range, was used for the verification of the performance of the fabricated circular cavity resonator. In the measurement of GaAs single crystal using that resonator, the resonant frequency of the dominant $TE_{011}$ mode, the permittivity and $Q{\times}f_0$ were measured as 26.69GHz, 12.9 and 124,000GHz, respectively.

  • 본 논문은 초고속 비행체에 탑재하여 대용량 자료를 송수신하는 원격측정링크 개발에 대하여 기술하였다. 고속 이동체 환경에서 고속 자료전송을 위해 기존에 주로 사용되던 PCM/FM 변조방식에 비해 대역폭 효율성, 주파수 선택적 페이딩, 도플러 주파수 옵셋 등을 고려하여 DQPSK 변조방식을 사용하였다. 또한 통신채널 장애의 주요 원인이 되는 멀티패스 간섭을 최소화하기 위해 다수의 수신안테나를 사용하여 공간다이버시티를 구현하였으며 추가적으로 터보코드를 오류정정부호로 사용하여 양질의 데이터를 수신할 수 있도록 개발하였으며 비행시험을 통하여 성능을 확인하였다.

타원형 금속봉이 있는 구형 도파관의 전파특성 (Propagation Characteristics of Rectangular Waveguide with Elliptical Conducting Post)

  • 본 논문에서는 내부의 타원형 금속봉에 의한 구형 도파관의 산란 특성과 금속봉의 등가 임피던스를 모드매칭법과 일반 산란계수법을 사용한 수치적 방법으로 해석하였다. 타원형 금속봉에 의한 구형 도파관의 산란특성은 봉의 이심률과 높이에 따라 미세하게 변화되고 있으며, 봉의 높이가 낮은 경우(w.54mm, 4mm) 구형 도파관의 산란 특성 변화는 전체 주파수 대역에서 나타나는 반면, 봉의 높이가 높아질수록(7.62mm, 9mm) 이러한 특성의 변화는 높은 주파수 대역에서 뚜렷해짐을 알 수 있었다. 계산결과는 HFSS와 비교하여 잘 일치하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 구조와 해석법은 튜닝 소자로 타원의 원통형 금속봉을 사용하는 도파관 관련 부품의 설계와 제작에 쉽게 이용될 수 있다.
