  • SIP Caller Preference is an useful function that allows a caller to express preferences about request handling in servers. It can also feat appropriate call processing according to the callee capabilities. However, only the category of the media is considered as a criteria for target selection in the caller preference. In this case, if the callee's media information such as codec is different from the caller, an additional renegotiation occurs for SIP call setup. Therefore, in this paper, we have suggested an extended caller preference to solve this problem. In our SIP based VoIP system, a network sewer uses detailed media informations for media stream in the session to select the target for SIP call setup. The sewer gives higher priority to the candidate which do not require re-negotiation for call setup, so that an effective call setup can be achieved in our system.

  • Imperatoxin A ($IpTx_a$), a 3.7 kDa peptide from the African scorpion Pandinus imperator, is an agonist of the skeletal muscle ryanodine receptor (RyR1). In order to study the structure of the toxin and its effect on RyR1, $IpTx_a$ cDNA was PCR-amplified using 3 pairs of primers, and the toxin was expressed in E. coli. The toxin was further purified by chromatography, and various point mutants in which basic amino acids were substituted by alanine were prepared by site-directed mutagenesis. Studies of single channel properties by the planar lipid bilayer method showed that the recombinant $IpTx_a$ was identical to the synthetic $IpTx_a$ with respect to high-performance liquid chromatography mobility, amino acid composition and specific effects on RyR1. Mutations of certain basic amino acids ($Lys^{19}$, $Arg^{23}$, and $Arg^{33}$) dramatically reduced the capacity of the peptide to activate RyRs. A subconductance state predominated when $Lys^8$ was substituted with alanine. These results suggest that some basic amino acid residues in $IpTx_a$ are important for activation of RyR1, and that $Lys^8$ plays an important role in regulating the gating mode of RyR1.

  • Internet routers forward an incoming packet to an output port toward its final destination through IP address lookup. Since each incoming packet should be forwarded in wire-speed, it is essential to provide the high-speed search performance. In this paper, IP address lookup algorithms using binary search are studied. Most of the binary search algorithms do not provide a balanced search, and hence the required number of memory access is excessive so that the search performance is poor. On the other hand, binary-search-on-range algorithm provides high-speed search performance, but it requires a large amount of memory. This paper shows an optimized binary-search-on-range structure which reduces the memory requirement by deleting unnecessary entries and an entry field. By this optimization, it is shown that the binary-search-on-range can be performed in a routing table with a similar or lesser number of entries than the number of prefixes. Using real backbone routing data, the optimized structure is compared with the original binary-search-on-range algorithm in terms of search performance. The performance comparison with various binary search algorithms is also provided.

  • Korean WiBro becomes international standard to IEEE 802.16e, and We are carrying out a WiBro network business from capital regions. We executed eavesdropping about voices and messenger program and the VoIP which frequently happened in WiBro networks at these papers. We have a lot in common with the Wireshark which is a packet collection and an analyzer, and We execute eavesdropping, and We reproduce eavesdropping data with bases to a SIP, H.263, TCP, UDP protocol through packets. In time of a copy of a packet negative the VoIP which verify time with bases, and was eavesdropped on integrity packet and a X-Lite call record, be matched that a packet is counterfeit forgery did not work, and We demonstrate, and verify integrity. The data which integrity was verified put in a seaming envelope, and we prepare so as it is to a liver of investigator, and execute, and to be able to do use to proof data after seaming in courts in order to utilize as criminal investigation data.

  • Most of the previous mobility management protocols such as IETF MIPv4/6 and its variants standardized by the IETF do not support global seamless handover because they require partially changes of the existing network infrastructure. In this article, we propose a simple mobility management protocol (SMMP) which can support global seamless handover between homogeneous or heterogeneous wireless networks. To do this, the SMMP employs separate location management function as DMMS to support global user and service mobility and the bidirectional tunnels are dynamically constructed to support seamless IP mobility by using the IEEE MIH extension server, which is extended the IEEE 802.21 MIH standards. The detailed architecture and functions of the SMMP have been designed. Finally, the mathematical analysis and the simulation have been done. The performance results show the proposed SMMP outperforms the existing MIPv6 and HMIPv6 in terms of handover latency, packet loss, pear signal noise ratio (PSNR).

  • Tracing the history of study, problems of seawater intrusion are commonly investigated with electrical techniques because seawater saturated zone is indicative of the low resistivity anomaly. There we, however, silt and mud layers in the western and southern coastal areas of Korea, so we may make a mistake in case we determine seawater intrusion only with resistivity survey. Hence, reference IP survey was carried out in Kimje, Jeollabuk-Do and Youngkwang, Jeollanam-Do in order to decide whether or not the area is under the influence of seawater intrusion. With the use of a electric field cable to minimize EM coupling, we obtained more accurate results by appling reference If technique measuring simultaneously wavelet of current as well as potential. With the aid of reference IP technique, it is possible that we can exactly evaluate seawater intrusion by discriminating seawater saturated area (no IP effect) from very highly conductive layer composed of clay mineral (high IP effect).

  • We reported an unrecorded plant species, Galium bungei var. miltorrhizum (Hance) Jeong & Pak in Korea. This species is found in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Jeollabuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do. G. bungei var. miltorrhizum is distinguished from related taxa by glabrous stem and glabrous or rarely short papillate mericarps. This taxon was named 'Dung-geun-ne-ip-gal-kwi' in Korean based on shapes of leaves. We provided a description, illustrations, photographs, and a key of related taxa in Korea. And we propose a new combination (Galium bungei var. miltorrhizum).

  • Ipomoea cristulata Hallier f. (Convolvulaceae), native to the desert regions of the central USA to Mexico, was newly found in Gojeong-ri, Deokgwa-myeon, Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do. This species can be distinguished from I. coccinea by leaves with 3-5 lobes, hirsute distributed adaxially, and corolla entirely red or orange-red. Its Korean name is 'Nabi-ip-yu-hong-cho' based on its butterfly-shaped leaves. We provide a detailed description, photographs, habitat details, and a taxonomic key to related taxa.

  • MBS (Multicast Broadcast Service) is defined in WiBro networks for implementing multicast-based services. However, most of the WiBro networks currently used in Korea do not have the MBS functionality and it causes some difficulty in implementing multicast-based services. This paper evaluates the performance of VoIP-based group communication services when implementing using the following two cases: unicast-based and multicast-based group communication systems. The performance evaluation is done using QualNet for each case in terms of the amount of network resource for the service, the delay and delay jitter of packets, and the difference of the delay of members in a group. The simulation result shows that the number of groups and members in a group in a WiBro network is limited because the amount of network resource for the service is increased according to the number of members in a group, and so, the MBS service is required in a WiBro network for a fully-fledged service of VoIP-based group communications. The simulation result also shows that, when a packet bundling is used, the number of groups and members in a group that can be supported in a WiBro network can be increased due to the decrease of the amount of network resource for the service.
