  • This paper presents a theory on the pricing and allocation of spinning reserve. It is shown in this paper, that it is possible to maintain system security with many participants each attempting to optimize their own benefit, through pricing incentive. Participant offers power consumption/generation and reserve contribution according to its price. And Price setter only distribute pricing signal to acquire system security. Participants induce disturbance on power system and they pay the penalty according to the size of disturbance. And they also offers some reserve capacity to earn reserve cost. In this scheme, the amount of data communication is very small.

Microvibration analysis of a cantilever configured reaction wheel assembly

  • This article discusses the microvibration analysis of a cantilever configured reaction wheel assembly. Disturbances induced by the reaction wheel assembly were measured using a previously designed platform. Modelling strategies for the effect of damping are presented. Sine-sweep tests are performed and a method is developed to model harmonic excitations based on the corresponding test results. The often ignored broadband noise is modelled by removing spikes identified in the raw signal including a method of identifying spikes from energy variation and band-stop filter design. The validation of the reaction wheel disturbance model with full excitations (harmonics and broadband noise) is presented and flaws due to missing broadband noise in conventional reaction wheel assembly microvibration analysis are discussed.

  • The longitudinal velocity (forward speed) having significant importance in proper running of railway wheelset on track, depends greatly upon the adhesion ratio and creep analysis by implementation of suitable dynamic system on contamination. The wet track condition causes slip and slide of vehicle on railway tracking, whereas high speed may also increase slip and skidding to severe wear and deterioration of mechanical parts. The basic aim of this research is to design appropriate model aimed estimator that can be used to control railway vehicle forward velocity to avoid slip. For the filtration of disturbance procured during running of vehicle, the kalman filter is applied to estimate the actual signal on preferered samples of creep co-efficient for observing the applied attitude of noise. Thus error level is detected on higher and lower co-efficient of creep to analyze adhesion to avoid slip and sliding. The skidding is usually occurred due to higher forward speed owing to procured disturbance. This paper guides to minimize the noise and error based upon creep coefficient.

  • 본 논문은 엔진마운트에서 주기적인 미지의 외란에서 나타나는 시스템의 입출력으로부터의 시스템 동특성을 인식할 수 있는 응용가능성을 보여 주고자 한다. 일반적으로 외란 진동과 파장형태는 확실히 알려져 있지 않고 임의적으로 발생되고 있다. 단지 제어량인 입력과 외란이 섞여 있는 출력측정량만이 시스템인식을 위하여 사용될 뿐이다. 보다 일반화되어 개발된 시스템인식기술 알고리즘은 승용차 능동엔진마운트의 진동제어를 위하여 능동제어에 앞선 미지의 주기적외란을 포함한 동특성시스템에서의 수학적 모의시험을 통하여 시스템인식기술의 완벽성을 나타내고 있다.

Influence of wind disturbance on smart stiffness identification of building structure using limited micro-tremor observation

  • While most of researches on system identification of building structures are aimed at finding modal parameters first and identifying the corresponding physical parameters by using the transformation in terms of transfer functions and cross spectra, etc., direct physical parameter system identification methods have been proposed recently. Due to the problem of signal/noise (SN) ratios, the previous methods are restricted mostly to earthquake records or forced vibration data. In this paper, a theoretical investigation is performed on the influence of wind disturbances on stiffness identification of building structures using micro-tremor at limited floors. It is concluded that the influence of wind disturbances on stiffness identification of building structures using micro-tremor at limited floors is restricted in case of using time-series data for low-rise buildings and does not cause serious problems.

Study on User Interface for a Capacitive-Sensor Based Smart Device

  • In this paper, we designed HW / SW interfaces for processing the signals of capacitive sensors like Electric Potential Sensor (EPS) to detect the surrounding electric field disturbance as feature signals in motion recognition systems. We implemented a smart light control system with those interfaces. In the system, the on/off switch and brightness adjustment are controlled by hand gestures using the designed and fabricated interface circuits. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals of the controller with a driver IC are used to drive the LED and to control the brightness and on/off operation. Using the hand-gesture signals obtained through EPS sensors and the interface HW/SW, we can not only construct a gesture instructing system but also accomplish the faster recognition speed by developing dedicated interface hardware including control circuitry. Finally, using the proposed hand-gesture recognition and signal processing methods, the light control module was also designed and implemented. The experimental result shows that the smart light control system can control the LED module properly by accurate motion detection and gesture classification.

Method Based on Sparse Signal Decomposition for Harmonic and Inter-harmonic Analysis of Power System

  • Harmonic/inter-harmonic detection and analysis is an important issue in power system signal processing. This paper proposes a fast algorithm based on matching pursuit (MP) sparse signal decomposition, which can be employed to extract the harmonic or inter-harmonic components of a distorted electric voltage/current signal. In the MP iterations, the method extracts harmonic/inter-harmonic components in order according to the spectrum peak. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and nonlinear optimization techniques are used in the decomposition to realize fast and accurate estimation of the parameters. First, the frequency estimation value corresponding to the maxim spectrum peak in the present residual is obtained, and the phase corresponding to this frequency is searched in discrete sinusoids dictionary. Then the frequency and phase estimations are taken as initial values of the unknown parameters for Nelder-Mead to acquire the optimized parameters. Finally, the duration time of the disturbance is determined by comparing the inner products, and the amplitude is achieved according to the matching expression of the harmonic or inter-harmonic. Simulations and actual signal tests are performed to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

지반교란 영역 규명을 위한 고분해능 천부 탄성파 반사법 탐사 (High Resolution Shallow Seismic Reflection Survey for the Investigation of Ground Disturbance Area)

  • 지반침하는 지난 3년간의 본 연구실의 중요한 연구 주제로 본 연구에서는 채굴적 붕괴로 육안상 지표침하는 뚜렷이 관측되지 않으나 그 하부 지반은 이미 교란되었다고 판단되는 영역을 천부 탄성파 반사법을 이용하여 고찰함으로써 향후 예상 침하영역을 정량적으로 도출하였다. 지반교란에 의한 탄성파 신호의 왜곡 및 감쇠를 최소화하고자 좁은 송수신 간격(0.3m) 및 가능한 짧은 오프셋(<30m)의 0.15m의 CMP간격을 가지는 측선배열로써 고주파수 천부 탄성파 자료를 획득하였다. 짧은 측선길이(43m)를 감안하여 고정된 지오폰에 대하여 송신원을 이동하는 배열법을 선택하였다. 침하에 의해 지반교란이 심한 조사지역의 탄성파 자료의 특성과 획득자료 대부분이 짧은거리 오프셋 탄성파 자료임을 고려하여 신중한 뮤팅과 잔여정보정 처리과정을 거쳐 탄성파 중합단면을 작성하였다. 지표 침하양상과 대비하여 중합단면을 해석, 정량적인 예상 침하영역을 분리하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 선형 유도 모터로 추진되는 자기부상 열차 시스템에서 열차의 속도에 따라서 추진 시스템으로부터 발생하는 간섭력의 부상 시스템에 대한 영향을 최소화하기 위한 적분형 sliding mode 부상제어기의 설계에 대해서 다룬다. 제어기 구조는 적분형 제어기와 sliding mode 제어기로 구성된다. 적분형 제어기는 정적 외란에 대해서 정상상태 오차가 영에 도달하는 것을 보장하고 sliding mode 제어기는 수학적 모델이 본질적으로 갖고 있는 불확실성에 대한 강건성을 보장 한다 sliding mode 제어기의 chattering 문제를 해결하기 위해서 연속 함수를 도입한다. 선형 유도모터에 의한 간섭력은 실험 데이터의 curve fitting에 의한 수학적 모델링을 통하여 수식화 한다. 컴퓨터 모의시험을 통해서 설계돈 적분형 sliding mode 제어기의 효율성을 보인다.

  • This paper deals with the Filtered-x Least Mean Square algorithm for a active vibration control in vehicle vibration reduction. Before applying the proposed FxLMS algorithm to automobile, the performance of the FxLMS algorithm is simulated using sensor data of a vehicle. The FxLMS algorithm requires that reference signal be a representation of disturbance signal and the plant model be incorporated into the computation path. To this end, The system identification is carried out to obtain the plant model based on the measurement results. A tachometer signal is used as reference signal. The FxLMS control algorithm is first tested using simulation and applied to a vehicle. Experimental results show that the proposed control algorithm can reduce vibration level in a short period of time.
