The permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is receiving Increased attention for servo drive applications in recent years because of its high torque to inertia ratio, superior power density and high efficiency. By vector-controll method, PMSM has the same operating characterics as seperately excited dc motor. The drive system of servo motor is requested to have an accurate response for the reference input and a quick recovery for the disturbance such as load torque. However, when the unknown disturbances and parameter variations are imposed on the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM), the drive system is significantly effected by them. As a result, the drive system with both a fast compensation and a robustness to a parameter variations is requested. This paper investigates the possibility of applying the fuzzy logic controller(FLC) using Multi-Rule Base In a servo motor control system. In this paper, The five Rule Bases(1 to 5) are selected to recover the state error caused by the disturbance in steady state. In the initial operating mode. Rule Base 0 is used. To show the validity of the proposed fuzzy logic controll system, the computer simulation results are provided.
A predictive functional control (PFC) scheme for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo systems is proposed in this paper. The PFC-based method is first introduced in the control design of speed loop. Since the accuracy of the PFC model is influenced by external disturbances and speed detection quantization errors of the low distinguishability optical encoder in servo systems, it is noted that the standard PFC method does not achieve satisfactory results in the presence of strong disturbances. This paper adopted the Kalman filter to observe the load torque, the rotor position and the rotor angular velocity under the condition of a limited precision encoder. The observations are then fed back into PFC model to rebuild it when considering the influence of perturbation. Therefore, an improved PFC method, called the PFC+Kalman filter method, is presented, and a high performance PMSM servo system was achieved. The validity of the proposed controller was tested via experiments. Excellent results were obtained with respect to the speed trajectory tracking, stability, and disturbance rejection.

Two promising control candidates have been selected to test the sinusoidal reference tracking performance for a brush-type polishing machine having strong nonlinearities and disturbances. The controlled target system is an oscillating mechanism consisting of a common positioning stage of one degree-of-freedom with a screw and a ball nut driven by a servo motor those can be obtained commercially. Beside the strong nonlinearity such as stick-slip friction, the periodic contact of the polishing brush and the work piece adds an external disturbance. Selected control candidates are a Sliding Mode Control (SMC) and a variant of a feedback linearization control called Smooth Robust Nonlinear Control (SRNC). A SMC and SRNC are selected since they have good theoretical backgrounds, are suitable to be implemented in a digital environment and show good disturbance and modeling uncertainty rejection performance. It should be also noted that SRNC has a nobel approach in that it uses the position information to compensate the stickslip friction. For both controllers analytical and experimental studies have been conducted to show control design approaches and to compare the performance against the strong nonlinearity and the disturbances.

Usually, propagation attenuation of millimeter wave occurs by rainfall, snowfall, temperature, effect of pressure of air. In 60GHz wave band wireless communication network, temperature change becomes big factor of propagation loss department. Also, temperature change causes disturbance of 60GHz frequency at transceiver. In this study, we used 60GHz transceiver and found propagation loss of wireless path and operating frequency disturbance characteristics. In transceiver that there is no temperature compensated device, operating frequency of TX changed by 60.865GHz at temperature of $-5^{\circ}C$, and appeared by 60.730GHz when is $50^{\circ}C$. Therefore, operating frequency change width by temperature change are about 100MHz, greatly. But, in transceiver that there is temperature compensated device, operating frequency of TX changed by 60.830GHz at temperature of $-5^{\circ}C$, and appeared by 60.710GHz when is $50^{\circ}C$. Therefore, operating frequency change width by temperature change are about 20MHz. According to these result, we constructed between buildings examination wireless site for point to point wireless communication using 60GHz band transceivers who have do temperature compensated device, and investigated data transmission characteristics about ambient temperature change. Therefore, if use transceiver that have temperature compensated device, may overcome the wireless transmission error in 60GHz band wireless communication LAN networks despite of ambient temperature change.

Robust control for DC motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. However, when a motor control system with PID controller has an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control systems. In this paper, PID-Expert hybrid control method for motor control system as a compensation method solving this problem is presented. If PID control system is stable, the Expert controller is idle. if the error hits the boundary of the constraint, the Expert controller begins operation to force the error back to the constraint set. The disturbance effect decrease remarkably, robust speed control of DC motor using PID-Expert Hybrid controller is demonstrated by the simulation.
PI controllers are one of the most widely used controllers in industrial control systems due to their simple algorithms and stability. The parameters Kp and Ki determine the performance of the system response. The response is expected to improve by increasing the gain of the PI controller. However, too large a gain will accelerate the speed response and cause vibrations, which is not what is expected. This paper proposes a way to suppress vibrations by detecting the vibration frequency and extracting the vibration signal as a compensation to the speed feedback. Additionally, in order to improve its disturbance rejection ability, a low-order disturbance observer is proposed. This paper also explains the operation principle of the proposed method by analyzing the transfer function and it describes the design of the controller parameters in detail. Simulation and experimental results are provided to verify the merits of the proposed method. These results also show the good performance of the proposed method. It has a rapid response and suppresses vibrations.

In a PWM inverter-fed IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive, a dead time is inserted to prevent a breakdown of switching device caused by the short-circuit of DC link. This distorts the inverter output voltage resulting in a current distortion and torque ripple. In addition to the dead time, nonlinearity exists in switching devices of the PWM inverter, which is generally dependent on operating conditions such as the temperature, DC link voltage, and current. The voltage disturbance caused by the dead time and inverter nonlinearity directly influences on the inverter output performance, and it is known to be more severe at low speed. In this paper, a new compensation scheme for the dead time and inverter nonlinearity under the parameter variation is proposed for a PWM inverter-fed IPMSM drive. The overall system is implemented using DSP TMS320F28335 and the validity of the proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experiments.
