한국어 비음의 음향학적 구분을 위한 장구간 스펙트럼(LTAS) 분석 (Long Term Average Spectral Analysis for Acoustical Discrimination of Korean Nasal Consonants)

  • The purpose of this study is to find some acoustic parameters on frequency domain to distinguish the Korean nasals, $/m,\;n,\;{\eta}/$ from each other. The new parameters are devised on the basis of LTAS (Long Term Average Spectrum). The maximum peak amplitude and the relevant formant frequency are measured in low and high frequency range, respectively. The frequency of spectral valley and its energy level are also obtained in the specific frequency range of the spectrum. Spectral slope, total energy value in specific frequency range, statistical distribution of spectral energy like centroid, skewness, and kurtosis are suggested as new parameters as well. The parameters that show statistically significant differences across nasals are summerized as follows. 1) in syllable initial positions: the total energy value from 1,500 to 2,200 Hz(zeroENG); 2) in syllable final positions: the peak amplitude of the first formant(peak1_a), the formant frequency with maximum peak amplitude from 4,000 to 8,000 Hz(peak2_f), the maximum peak amplitude of the formant frequency from 4,000 to 8,000 Hz(peak2_a), and the total energy value from 1,500 to 2,200 Hz(zeroENG).

  • In this paper, radial sheared eletronic shearopgraphy was studied in order to measure vibration characteristics of circular or radial symmetric objects. We calculated amplitude of vibration by using eletro-optic holography theory, and utilized a porror prism for optical arrangement of sheared two images in this experiment. In this case, the data measured by shearing interferometer give us a distribution of the gradient of vibration amplitude. This developed system is applied to symmetical objects such as fans of airconditioner and circular plates to test vibration characteristics.

  • 본 논문에서 수행된 DFB(distributed feedback)-LD(laser diode)의 DC와 AC 특성 분석을 위한 모델링은 레이저 다이오드 공진기 내의 spatial hole burning과 $\lambda$/4 위상천이 된 회절 격자의 영향을 고려한 것으로서 DC특성 분석을 위한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 공진기내의 광파워 분포와 캐리어 밀도 분포 그리고 광-전류 곡선등을 얻었으며, AC 특성 분석을 위한 시뮬레이션으로부터는 비교적 정확한 IM 응답과 FM의 위상과 크기 응답을 얻었다.

  • 유전자 알고리즘을 사용하여 전파 잡음의 통계적 모형(APD: amplitude probability distribution)으로부터 최적파라미터를 추출, 데이터베이스화하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 제안된 파라미터 추출 방법은 기존의 시행 착오법과 비교하여 추출 시간이 단축되고 추출과정의 자동화가 가능하며 각 파라미터별로 국부적 최적화가 아닌 전역적 최적화를 시행할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다.

Mg-Al-Si 합금에서 진동감쇠능의 변형진폭 의존성 (Strain Amplitude Dependence of Damping Capacity in Mg-AI-Si Alloy)

  • Change in damping capacity with strain amplitude was studied in Mg-Al-Si alloy in as-cast, solution-treated and aged states, respectively. The as-cast microstructure of the alloy is characterized by eutectic ${\beta}$($Mg_{17}Al_{12}$) phase and Chinese script type $Mg_2Si$ particles. The solution treatment dissolved the ${\beta}$ phase into the matrix, while the aging treatment resulted in the distribution of continuous and discontinuous type ${\beta}$ precipitates. The solution-treated microstructure showed better damping capacity than as-cast and aged microstructures both in strain-dependent and strain-independent damping regions. The decrease in second-phase particles which weakens the strong pinning points on dislocations and distribution of solute atoms in the matrix, would be responsible for the enhanced damping capacity after solution treatment.

  • This Paper presents a high impedance fault (HIF) detection algorithm of distribution systems using wavelet transform. Two HIFs on dry soil and sandy soil were simulated on various load conditions in 22.9 kV distribution systems using EMTP, and the current wavelets were decomposed by wavelet transform. The current root mean square(rms) change, the index change rate and the relative amplitude change were used as the multi-criteria for a HIF detection. The index change rate and the relative amplitude were made using the wavelet coefficients.

  • This paper describes probabilistic characteristics of damping in a tall building based on the results of full-scale measurement. It is found, through statistical analysis of the damping data, that the probability density function(PDF) of damping at the high amplitude plateau can be well represented by Normal distribution (Gaussian distribution). A stochastic damping model is proposed to estimate amplitude-dependent damping for practical application.

Deriving a Probabilistic Model for Fatigue Life Based on Physical Failure Mechanism

  • A probabilistic model for fatigue life of a structural component is derived when the component is in a variable-amplitude loading environment. The physical mechanism which governs fatigue failure is used to model the fatigue life. Especially, the judgement of rotational symmetry in the-stress-intensity-factors results in the probability distribution for fatigue life. The probability distribution is related to the familiar truncated Gaussian distribution, which has a single parameter with a direct physical meaning.

사각 공동구의 하부 벽면 가진의 진폭 변화에 따른 자연 대류 유동의 공진 현상에 관한 연구 (Amplitude Effect on the Resonance of Natural Convection inside a Square Cavity with a Vibrating Bottom Wall)

  • In the present study a numerical simulation is performed on a natural convection inside a square cavity with a vibrating bottom wall. The heat transfer coeffcients for various amplitudes of the bottom wall vibration were compared to the case without the bottom wall excitation. From the results, it is seen that the local temperature distribution in a cavity becomes more uniform as the amplitude of the bottom wall vibration is increased. Also, it was seen that the heat transfer coefficient increased on the heating wall as the applied amplitude increased.

입사광의 편위가 난시안에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Shift of Incident Beam on the Astigmatism)

  • 입사광의 진폭 분포가 임의의 방향으로 편위되었을 때 편위량의 증가에 따른 상면에서의 착락원 형태변화와 이러한 입사광의 편위가 난시안에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 이 때 고려된 편위량의 크기는 0.0, 0.25, 0.5 그리고 0.75인 경우이며, 편위 방향은 ${\pi}/2$이다. 또한 광학계에 포함된 비점수차량은 $0.0{\lambda}$, $0.25{\lambda}$, $0.5{\lambda}$ 그리고 $0.75{\lambda}$인 경우를 고려하였다. 상면에서의 착락원 형태는 입광의 실수 진폭 분포의 편위량이 증가함에 따라 원형 대칭에서 비대칭의 타원 형태로 변화되어 나타났으며, 비대칭 타원의 정도는 입사광의 실수 진폭 분포의 편위량이 증가함에 따라 크게 나타났다. 또한 입사광의 실수 진폭 분포가 대칭적이지 못하고 임의의 방향으로 약간씩 편위되어 분포함으로써 광학계에 포함된 비점수차를 보정하고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 이는 난시안을 갖는 눈에 입사된 입사광은 난시의 효과를 최소화하기 위해 편위됨을 알 수 있었다.
