A distributed real-time system that is being used now is usually divided into three level : higher level, middle level, and lower level. The higher level network is usually called an information network, the middle level is called a control network, and the lower level is called a field network or a divice network. This dissertation suggests and implements a middle level network which is called PICNET-NP (Plant Implementation and Control Network for Nuclear Power Plant). PICNET-NP is based partly on IEEE 802.4 token-passing bus access methed and partly on IEEE 802.3 physical layer. For this purpose a new interface, a physical layer service translater, is introduced. A control network using this method is implemented and applied to a distributed real-time system.
The Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) has emerged as a key component in HVDC systems due to its ability to efficiently transmit large amounts of power over long distances. In such systems, accurate estimation of the MMC capacitor voltage is of utmost importance for ensuring optimal system performance, stability, and reliability. Traditional methods for voltage estimation may face limitations in accuracy and robustness, prompting the need for innovative approaches. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed neural network observer specifically designed for MMC capacitor voltage estimation. Our observer harnesses the power of a multi-layer neural network architecture, which enables the observer to learn and adapt to the complex dynamics of the MMC system. By utilizing a distributed approach, we deploy multiple observers, each with its own set of neural network layers, to collectively estimate the capacitor voltage. This distributed configuration enhances the accuracy and robustness of the voltage estimation process. A crucial aspect of our observer's performance lies in the meticulous initialization of random weights within the neural network. This initialization process ensures that the observer starts with a solid foundation for efficient learning and accurate voltage estimation. The observer iteratively updates its weights based on the observed voltage and current values, continuously improving its estimation accuracy over time. The validity of proposed algorithm is verified by the result of estimated voltage at each observer in capacitor of MMC.
A simulated network protocol provides the capability of distributed simulation to a generic simulator. Through this, full coverage of management of data and service handling among separated simulators is achieved. The distributed simulation environment is much more conducive to handling simulation load balancing and hazard treatment than a standalone computer. According to the simulated network protocol, one simulator takes on the role of server and the other simulators take on the role of client, and client is controlled by server. The purpose of the simulated network protocol is to seamlessly connect multiple simulator instances into a single simulation environment. This paper presents the development of a simulated network (simNetwork) that provides the capability of distributed simulation to a generic simulator (GenSim), which is a software simulator of satellites that has been developed by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute since 2010, to use as a flight software validation bench for future satellite development.
Principle of mailing list was distributed messages to all subscribers in one time. But mailing list operation has constructed a network traffic problem. Because mailing list manager distributed mails without concentrate on subscriber network. If our network has many of subscribers, there will be redundant data in traffic channel. Submailing list has purpose to reduce problems. Analyses of mailing list characteristic in electronic mail were a feature of submailing list system, which manage by human hand (Network Administrator). That will cause trouble for network traffic if Network Administrator could not seek for mailing list characteristic from e-mails in due time. This article will present ideas and recognize methodology for automatic working in submailing list system. Recognize step begin with capture process, which use to trap e-mail information from transfer channel. Next process is preparing raw data into recognition format. Then the third one is recognize part and find out confidential factor. The last process is make decision and determine which electronic mail has properties of mailing list characteristic. Afterward deliver result to submailing list for carry on.
Because robot hardware architecture generally is consisted of a few sensors and motors connected to the central processing unit, this type of structure is led to time consuming and unreliable system. For analysis, one of the fundamental difficulties in real-time system is how to be bounded the time behavior of the system. When a distributed control network controls the robot, with a central computing hub that sets the goals for the robot, processes the sensor information and provides coordination targets for the joints. If the distributed system supposed to be connected to a control network, the joints have their own control processors that act in groups to maintain global stability, while also operating individually to provide local motor control. We try to analyze the architecture of network-based humanoid robot's leg part and deal with its application using the CAN(Controller Area Network) protocol.
Distributed object Computing, owing to the development of distributed computing, has improved the performance of distributed processing conducted between homogeneous and heterogeneous systems in network. However, it has failed to solve fundamental problems such as network overload and enormous requests demands by servers and clients. In this paper, we propose to design and implement an Object Migration system that uses the java language to tackle the mentioned problems. As the first step of the implementation of the system, we justify the characteristics of t도 mobile object model that keeps codes and states of an object. Implemented Object Migration System would accept objects being migrated to a specific node and support the virtual place in which objects could be executed automatically. Therefore, the Object Migration system we suggest could not only solve problems imposed to traditional distributed computing but also offer transparency of object migration between homogeneous and heterogeneous systems.
This paper is the introduction of our work on distributed load scheduling in single-level tree network. In this paper, we derive a new calculation model in single-level tree network and show a closed-form formulation of the time for computation system. There are so many examples of the application of this technology such as distributed database, biology computation on genus, grid computing, numerical computing, video and audio signal processing, etc.
