PVM provides users with a single image of high performance parallel computing machine by collecting machines distributed over a network. Low communication overhead is essential to effectively run applications on PVM based platforms. In the original PVM, three times of memory copies are required for a PVM task to send a message to a remote task, which results in performance degradation. We propose a zero-copy model using global shared memory that can be accessed by PVM tasks, PVM daemon, and network interface card(NIC). In the scheme, a task packs data into global shared memory, and notify daemon that the data is ready to be sent, then daemon routes the data to a remote task to which it is sent with no virtual data copy overhead. Experimental result reveals that the message round trip time between two machines is reduced significantly in the proposed zero-copy scheme.

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are self-organized networks that do not rely in their operation on wired infrastructure. As in any networking technology, security is an essential element in MANET as well, for proliferation of this type of networks. But supporting secure communication in MANETs proved to be a significant challenge, mainly due to the fact that the set of nodes in the network can change frequently and rapidly and due to the lack of access to the wired infrastructure. In particular, the trust model and the authentication protocols, which were developed for wired and infrastructure-based networks, cannot be used in MANETs. In [1], we addressed the problem of efficient authentication of distributed mobile users in geographically large networks and proposed a new authentication scheme for this case of MANETs. The proposed scheme exploits randomized groups to efficiently share authentication information among nodes that together implement the function of a distributive Certification Authority(CA). In this paper, we analyze numerically the performance of authentication method using randomized groups and compare with the simulation result.
Multicast services are provided on the Internet in fast increasing . Therefore it is important to keep security for multicast communication. Member leaving is deeply associated with scalability problem for group key management. If one member of the group is removed, new group key has to be generated and distributed to all remaining members of group. Minimizing the number of messages and operation cost for generation of the composite keys are important evaluating criteria of multicast key management scheme since generation and distribution of new keys for rekeying require expensive operation. Batch removal can reduce these important parameters rather than removing members sequentially In fashion one after another. In this paper, Hamming distance is calculated between eve교 members to be removed. The members with Hamming distance less than threshold are selected for rekeying procedure. With running the round assignment algorithm In the case of removing several members simultaneously, our model has advantages of reducing the number of message and operation cost for generation of the composite keys and eliminating possibility of collusion attack for rekeying.
This paper presents the design and development of network for housing estate security system. The system can cover up to 961 houses which can be up to 1,200 meters long transfer rate of 9,600 bps. This system uses checking and warning the abnormal situation. More over this system has ability to control switch on/off the electrical equipment in the house via AC line control system. The system consists of 4 parts. The first part is a security system of each house using MCS-51 microcontroller as a central processing unit scan 32 sensors and control 8 appliances and send alarm. The MCS-51 microcontroller received control signal via telephone used DTMF circuit. The second part is distributed two levels master/slave network implementing after RS-485 serial communication standard. The protocol its base on the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) 7 layers protocol model design focus on speed, reliability and security of data that is transferred. The network security using encrypt by DES algorithm, message sequence, time stamp checking and authentication system when user to access and when connect new device to this system. Flow control in system is Poll/Select and Stop-and-Wait method. The third part is central server that using microcomputer which its main function are storing event data into database and can check history event. The final part is internet system which users can access their own homes via the Internet. This web service is based on a combination of SOAP, HTTP and TCP/IP protocols. Messages are exchanged using XML format [6]. In order to save the number of IP address, the system uses 1 IP address for the whole village in which all homes and appliance in this village are addressed using internal identification numbers. This proposed system gives the data transfer accuracy over 99.8% and maximum polling time is 1,120 ms.
In this paper, we investigate the resource allocation problem in time-varying heterogeneous wireless networks (HetNet) with multi-homing user equipments (UE). The stochastic optimization model is employed to maximize the network utility, which is defined as the difference between the HetNet's throughput and the total energy consumption cost. In harmony with the hierarchical architecture of HetNet, the problem of stochastic optimization of resource allocation is decomposed into two subproblems by the Lyapunov optimization theory, associated with the flow control in transport layer and the power allocation in physical (PHY) layer, respectively. For avoiding the signaling overhead, outdated dynamic information, and scalability issues, the distributed resource allocation method is developed for solving the two subproblems based on the primal-dual decomposition theory. After that, the adaptive resource allocation algorithm is developed to accommodate the timevarying wireless network only according to the current network state information, i.e. the queue state information (QSI) at radio access networks (RAN) and the channel state information (CSI) of RANs-UE links. The tradeoff between network utility and delay is derived, where the increase of delay is approximately linear in V and the increase of network utility is at the speed of 1/V with a control parameter V. Extensive simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.
Recently, the rapid growth of Internet technology and the deployment of high speed networks make many kinds of multimedia services possible. Preexisting multimedia services are designed based on the client/server model which has the problems such as the network failure and the low speed communication due to the high load on the central server. In order to solve these problems, peer-to-peer networks are introduced and expanded through Internet environments. In this paper, we propose a pure peer-to-peer network based resource discovery mechanism for multimedia services. In the proposed scheme, each host maintains the location information of resources which are recently requested by other hosts as well as that oi the replicas of local resources. The proposed scheme has the faster response time and incurs the smaller traffic than the preexisting discovery schemes in pure peer-to-peer network environments. Also, by decentralizing the location information and differentiating the reply path, our proposed scheme can solve the search result loss problem that occurs when the network is unsettled.
As information communication technology developed we could monitor temperature, weather, indoor and outdoor status which we need to monitor using various sensors. Even further we could monitor our body such as Sa02 and serologic chemical tests easily at home or office. It is possible though interlocking the house medical instrument with the wireless public data network. Data from sensors can be transmitted to the distant control room and will be essentially applied through wireless public data network. In this study we measured various sensor data for the telemetry in one system. The sensing items are mainly focused on the static and dynamic behaviors of the bridge, building, instruments. The study suggests the transmit system model utilized by the wireless public data network. The suggestion in the study of telemetry system provides movement and preservation. And it will exam various condition in distance or at home.
In this paper, we present a new framework and stream synchronization mechanism to effectively support developing real-time multimedia streaming services by using a real-time object model named TMO (Time-triggered Message-triggered Object). The purpose of the framework is twofold. Firstly, the framework helps developers to design complex distributed real-time multimedia streaming services. Secondly, it supports timely streaming facilities. In order to achieve these goals, our framework is consist of Multimedia Streaming TMO, MMStreaming TMO Support Library and TMO Support Middleware. The time-triggered spontaneous feature of the MMStream TMO and a global-time based synchronization scheme is used as a regulator against the irregular deliveries and processing of media units caused by QoS non-guaranteed systems and communication channels. In conclusion, timely service capability of our framework is expected to contributed to overall enhancement of the real-time multimedia streaming.

As home network system begins serving in earnest, the recent fruits of research in home service robot show that the new epoch that human and intelligent robots are living, communicating and interacting together at home, may come true in the near future. In the other hand, it is generally known that the multiagent system, performing distributed process together with other different devices in a home network system, is better than single robot or single home server for adapting themselves to home environment and completing their mission because the characteristic of home environment is 'open'. Therefore, in this paper we suggest the framework model to define agents, which is needed lot the home with a home network system, and the communication protocol architecture between agents. For this, we focus our attention on an agent comprising the set of many agent instances rather than the single intelligent or ability of a robot or home server, and also suggest the way of adaptation for agent systems to their environments and interaction with human in the manner of cooperation and negotiation among agents or agent instances in each agent.
Purpose: In this study, we aim to provide primary source of data for developing a learning program that enhances the students' learning by critically analyzing and adopting the effective class participation factors of the students. Methods: A questionnaire survey has been conducted from the beginning of May to the end of October, 2017. Subjects of the survey was the dental technology students living in W-city et al by random sampling method along with written informed consent. Out of 630 distributed questionnaires, 584 results were used for our analysis. Results: Firstly, the average score of the class participation of all the subjects was 3.08 points out of 5.0, which was broken down into class activity (3.53 points), passion about class (3.51 points), communication factors (2.88 points), class preparation (2.77 points), class extension (2.76 points). Secondly, statistically significant correlations were found between class participation and class satisfaction as shown in (p<.01). Class participation factors that affect the class satisfaction were class preparation(p<.001), class activities(p<.001), passion about class(p<.001), which reveals positive and meaningful results. Explanatory power of the model turned out 50.3%. Conclusion : Considering that class preparation, class activities, and passion about class played a key role in class satisfaction of the student, teachers need to be open minded to reflect the learners' personalized demands and needs in preparing and managing their class. Additionally should be in tandem that provides the students with various routes of class participation.
