  • The telemedicine & distance education system that this paper suggests has been designed on the CTE(Collaborative Telemedicine & distance Education) framework, which is an integrated multimedia environment. This is a CBM-based collaborative telemedicine & distance education type, different from the conventional doctor based general practice, and is an integrated multimedia telemedicine & distance education system capable of many application developments using information super highway. This paper presents the content regarding electronic medical examination chart and data treatment for efficient medical examination and prompt treatment by realizing mutual conversation type remote medical examination system among 3 parties(patient, doctor, pharmacist) on internet base. And, The implementation of this new teaming system should be designed with multimedia application development platform base which is interfaced with computer engineering, computer network technology, CSCW (Computer-Supported Cooperative Work) technology, and education engineering.

디피(Diffy) 게임을 활용한 원격교육용 초등수학영재 프로그램 개발 (Development of Distance Education Programs Utilizing Diffy Game for the Math Gifted Students in Elementary School)

  • 본 연구는 수학영재 프로그램의 특성과 원격 영재교육의 특성을 결합한 원격교육용 초등수학영재 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 원격교육에 투입하는 프로그램 개발의 준거를 설정하고 원격교육용 프로그램의 절차 모형을 구안하였다. 이에 따라 디피(Diffy) 게임을 활용한 원격교육용 초등수학영재 프로그램을 개발하였고, 이를 실제 현장에 적용하여 얻은 결과를 초등수학영재 프로그램, 원격교육용 프로그램으로서의 두 가지 측면의 분석기준을 이용하여 프로그램 개발의 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 연구는 이 프로그램이 원격교육이라는 방식을 통하더라도 고차원적인 수준의 다양한 수학적 사고력을 신장시킬 수 있고, 토론방이나 성찰 저널을 통해 적극적인 수학적 의사소통 활동에도 기여하는 부분이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 초속망의 원격교육을 지원하는 그룹 관리 시스템을 연구하였다. 효율적인 원격교육을 위해서는 가상클래스 상의 피관리 객체와 그 동작들을 관리, 제어하는 메카니즘이 필요하며, 교수자는 학습그룹 및 하나의 학습그룹을 형성하는 학습자의 다양한 상태변화를 직시할 수 있어야 한다. 그리고, 가상클래스 상에서 교수자와 학습자는 학습그룹에 따라 토론하고 상호 메시지 송수신이 가능해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 가상클래스 운용을 위한 그룹 관리 및 관리정보베이스 모델을 제안하고 거기에 요구되는 그룹관리 알고리즘을 연구하였다.

원격교원연수 질 제고를 위한 학습관리시스템 기능 분석 연구 (An Analysis of LMS Functions for Improving the Quality of Distance Education Training)

  • 원격교육연수원은 2013년 12월 기준으로 63개 연수원이 민간, 대학부설, 국공립기관의 형태로 운영되고 있다. 원격교육연수원은 학습관리시스템을 통해 연수 관리를 하고 있기 때문에 학습관리시스템은 원격 연수의 질과 관계가 있다. 본 논문은 원격연수의 질 제고를 위해 원격교육연수원의 학습관리시스템 기능을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 전반적으로 연수자, 관리자, 튜터에게 필요한 기능이 70.07%, 72.09%, 70.41%의 구현율을 보여주었다. 연수자 기능에서는 연수지원, 관리자 기능에서는 통계관리, 튜터 기능에서는 커뮤니케이션 기능이 가장 낮은 구현율을 보였다. 본 논문의 결과를 통해 원격교육연수원의 효율적인 연수 운영을 위한 학습관리시스템 개선에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

Application of Art Therapy with Usage of Distance Education in the Process of Specialists Professional Training

  • Nowadays, the issues of comprehensive formation of a person capable of self-education, self-development and creative self-realization in the conditions of distance education are relevant. There is a need to solve this problem, which is due to social, cultural, and pedagogical factors. This makes it necessary to find effective means of personality formation. In this matter, great importance is attached to the modern method of forming a creative personality - art therapy. Various approaches to the definition of art therapy have been clarified. They consider various forms of art therapy when working with children, adolescents and adults in the context of distance education. The most relevant are the two main forms of work - individual and group art therapy. Art therapy develops the individual's creativity. Therefore, during art therapy, attention is focused on the inner world, experiences, and feelings. Therefore, we believe that in the context of distance education, art therapy has everything for the powerful potential of personality formation. Scientists consider this therapy as therapy by means of art, which is based on experiences, conflicts that can be expressed in the visual arts and music. Art therapy helps to get rid of conflicts and experiences. This happens in the context of distance education through the development of attention to feelings, strengthening one's own personal value and increasing artistic competence. The article describes the signs that characterize art therapy. Art-therapeutic technologies in the context of distance education, which are now actively used by psychologists, teachers and art therapists themselves, are highlighted. The advantages of distance learning are considered. The characteristic features of distance learning and features of the use of art therapy by means of distance education in the process of professional training of specialists are determined.

A Study of the Effects of Learner Characteristics on the Self-Regulated Learning Ability: A Comparison of Korea and China

  • The purpose of the study is to report differences in the effects of learner characteristics on the self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities between Chinese and Korean distance learners by using a structured SRL scale. A standardized 54-item self-regulated learning scale (SRAS) was used. The reliability was tested both in China and Korea which showed the scale had good reliability. The comparative study were conducted by administering the SRAS on 1999 Chinese distance learners from the Open Distance Education Center of Beijing Normal University and 1941 Korean distance learners from H Cyber University. Data on four dimensions of SRL - planning, control, regulating, and evaluation - were analyzed using 't-test' and 'ANOVA' with regards to the learner characteristics such as gender, age, prior education level, semesters, location and major. Results indicated that the average participant had an above medium level of SRL ability in all of the four dimensions. There were significant differences in the self-regulated learning ability between Chinese and Korean distance learners. Chinese distance learners scored higher in SRAS than Korean distance learners. The effects of learner characteristics on the SRL ability showed different patterns in the two countries. As for gender, male learners scored better in SRL than female learners in China, whereas it was just the opposite in Korea. No age differences were found in China, but Korean data exhibited a consistent age effect in all dimensions. In Korea, the age group older than 46 scored the highest, followed by the group between 35 to 45 years old, the group between 26 to 35 years old and the group younger than 25. As for location, Korean distance students from metropolitan were better than those from other regions, whereas it was on the contrary in China, albeit the location effect was not statistically significant. Prior education level had a clear and consistent effect on the SRL ability in both countries: the distance learners from junior colleges had better planning, regulating and evaluating abilities than those who came from senior high schools. These results have been discussed in various contexts of distance/online education as well as in relation to different culture between China and Korea. The results will also have implications for designing distance and online learning generally.

  • The article considers the training of specialists in education in the conditions of distance learning. It is lights up the advantages of distance learning and determined the characteristic features of distance learning of students training in the implementation of these technologies in the educational process. The article focuses on the main aspects of computerization of studies as a technological breach in methodology, organization and practical realization of educational process and informative culture of a teacher. Information technologies are intensive involved in life of humanity, educational process of schools and higher educational establishments. Intercommunication is examined between the processes of informatization of the society and education.

멀티미디어 통합에 의한 원격교육 강의 녹화 (Lecture Encoding of Distance Education by Multimedia Integration)

  • In distance education, use of proper software tools can greatly enhance student's attention and learning efficiency. In such software tools, offering diverse multimedia information is one of the most critical factors. However, integration and synchronization of the various media types has been relatively difficult parts of implementation. This paper proposes a prototype system that uses a metafile and event handling mechanism for the uniform treatment of various media types. This event-level integration and synchronization of multimedia makes the implementation relatively simple. With this approach, instructor's behaviors are automatically recorded, and the instructors can freely choose and show any type of multimedia contents while lecturing. Current commercial or non-commercial lecture management systems could incorporate this approach, so that the distance education market could be expanded with richer multimedia contents.

  • 최근 시간과 공간의 지배를 받지않고 학습할 수 있는 웹기반 원격교육시스템이 일반화되었다. 이는 교육분야에서 인터넷이 보다 광범위하게 사용되고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 하지만 원격교육시스템에 있어서 원격강의시스템 개발을 위한 전통적 개발방법이 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 컴포넌트 기반 개발 방법론을 적용한 원격강의시스템은 이러한 문제점들을 극복할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, 컴포넌트 기반 개발 방법론에 의해 개발된 사이버 강의형 원격시스템이 재사용성, 사용 편리성, 이식성 때문에 많은 시간과 비용을 절약할 수 있다.

  • 최첨단 정보통신 기술의 급속한 발전과 구성주의 학습 이론을 기반으로 등장한 원격 교육에서는 학습자가 자신의 학습 과정을 주관함으로써 자신에게 필요한 지식과 기술을 습득하는 자기주도적 학습이 이루어진다. 그러나 웹 기반 원격 교육이나 구성주의에서 학습자 중심적, 주도적 학습을 강조 했을 때 그것이 곧 교사로부터의 해방이나 자유방임적 교육을 의미하는 것은 아니다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 교사 에이전트를 활용하여 학습자를 다양한 수준별로 지도할 수 있는 원격 교육 시스템 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 모델에서 교사 에이전트는 학습자 정보를 바탕으로 학습자 개개인의 학습 수준에 맞는 학습 모델을 생성하고 평가에 의해 학업 성취 정도를 파악하여 다음 단계로의 학습 진행 여부를 제어한다. 이를 통하여 웹기반 원격 교육이 제공하는 학습 자원이 아무 목적없이 정보 검색 자체로 활용되는 문제점을 해결하고 진정한 학습자 중심의 교육을 실현할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 수 있다.
