실시간 통합제어기법을 이용한 차량전자화 설계 (Vetronics Design Using Realtime Integrated Control Techniques)

  • The vetronics is necessarily required for enhancement of the operational capability and optimization of the system architecture. In this paper, we presents the realtime control methods for the vetronics of the fighting vehicles. We proposed the data distribution based on standard bus and computer resource for realtime and integrated control of the system. Embedded computers are designed considering extensibility and reliability of the system. The integrated display improves the operator's capability. We applied the network centric battle management and digital power control with intelligent switching elements to increase cooperated combat efficiency and reliability. To show the feasibility of the presented design schemes, the vetronics has been implemented and applied to a real fighting vehicle.

  • 안전성 요구수준이 서로 다른 비행필수 데이터(Flight Critical Data)와 임무필수 데이터(Mission Critical Data)의 시현을 처리하기 위해 별도의 독립된 계기를 사용하지 않고 Glass Cockpit 설계를 적용하여 데이터를 통합처리하였다. 본 논문에서는 독립적으로 설계 진행되어온 비행조종계통과 임무탑재시스템의 통합설계를 위해 설계변경을 최소화하면서 비행조종계통에서 요구되는 비행필수 데이터처리의 안전성 요구수준을 만족시키는 최적화 설계를 제안하였다. 비행필수 데이터의 시현을 처리하기 위해 KUH 임무탑재시스템의 핵심구성품인 임무컴퓨터(Mission Computer)의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 설계변경을 최소화하였다. 임무탑재시스템의 안전성 요구도(Safety Requirement)를 검증하기 위한 시험절차를 개발하여 임무탑재시스템 통합시험장비(SIL)를 이용한 시험 수행 결과 안전성 요구도가 만족됨을 확인하였다.

  • C 언어로 만든 VLSI 레이아웃 언어를 사용하여 CMOS PLA를 설계한다. PLA cell의 library를 만들고 Protector 회로의 제어논리로 사용되는 PLA를 NCR 설계법칙을 이용하여 설계하고 레이아웃 프로그램을 만든다. 관련되는 프로그램 기법을 논의하고 레이아웃을 display할 수 있도록 한다.

  • This paper explores design and control methods of a surgical robot for total hip replacement surgery which can be easily maneuvered by a surgeon Like an advanced surgical tool. The 3-DOF in-parallel surgical robot is fixed directly onto patient's femur by the bone clamp during surgery. With the master/slave combined surgical robot, the surgeon can directly control the motion of the surgical robot with surgeon's experience and judgment during operation. For the easiness of operation, the master/slave combined robot is controlled using admittance control paradigm. And for the precise operation, the robot motion is restricted at the surgical boundary using virtual hard wall display.

Identification of the Minimum Legible Text Size for Group-View Display of the Main Control Room in Radioactive Waste Facility

  • Objective: The present study identified the minimum legible text size by an experiment for eight combinations of background and text colors, which will be used in designing visual information on group-view display (GVD). Background: Information on minimum legible text size is needed to design the visual information presented on GVD in a radioactive waste control room. Method: The experiment was conducted for 22 male participants (age: mean = 37, SD = 6.7; visual acuity: over 0.8) who were recruited by considering demographic characteristics of current control room operators. Eight combinations of background and text colors were considered and the minimum legible text size was determined for each combination by applying the method of limits, one of psychophysical methods. Results: The minimum legible text size was significantly different in accordance with the combination of background and text colors. Statistical analysis results showed that luminance contrast and color contrast between background and text influenced the minimum legible text sizes. Conclusion: This study concluded that the minimum legible text size is 8 minute of arc for various combinations of background and text colors. Application: The minimum legible text size identified in the present study can be utilized in designing visual information on GVD at the main control room in a radioactive waste facility.

  • Tangible interface can be understood as a newly defined concept, which can provide an effective and seamless interaction between the human as a subjective existence and the cyberspace as an objective existence. Tactile sensation is essential for many exploration and manipulation tasks in the tangible space. In this paper, we suggest the design of an integrated tactile sensor-display system that provides both of sensing and feedback with kinesthetic force, pressure distribution, vibration and slip/stretch. A new tactile sensor with PDVF strips and display system with bimorph actuators has been developed and integrated by developed signal processing algorithm. In the scenario of haptic navigation in the tangible space, tactile feedback system is successfully experimented.

  • Various devices have been emerging as a means of measuring indoor air quality, and among them, there are devices that support real-time remote monitoring through IoT technology and a cloud environment. To improve indoor air quality, based on the results determined by measuring devices, air purifiers or ventilation systems may need to be operated, and temperature and humidity control may be required. In this paper, we propose a design of indoor air quality measuring devices required for indoor air quality evaluation, and of the system needed to control relevant devices to improve indoor air quality through the interaction with the measuring devices. Currently, the servers for the interaction of indoor air quality devices and IoT devices are divided into conventional server type and serverless type, comparing the differences in response time of IoT devices to changes of indoor air quality.

능동 카메라 기반의 물체 추적 제어기 설계 (Controller Design for Object Tracking with an Active Camera)

  • In the case of the tracking system with an active camera, it is very difficult to guarantee real-time processing due to the attribute of vision system which handles large amounts of data at once and has time delay to process. The reliability of the processed result is also badly influenced by the slow sampling time and uncertainty caused by the image processing. In this paper, we figure out dynamic characteristics of pixels reflected on the image plane and derive the mathematical model of the vision tracking system which includes the actuating part and the image processing part. Based on this model, we find a controller that stabilizes the system and enhances the tracking performance to track a target rapidly. The centroid is used as the position index of moving object and the DC motor in the actuating part is controlled to keep the identified centroid at the center point of the image plane.

  • ATMega8535 Controller is the ideal solution for use as a standard controller in many applications. The small compact size combined with easy program updates and modifications, make it ideal for use in machinery and control systems, such as alarms, card readers, real-time monitoring applications and much more. This board is ideal as the brains of your robot or at the center of your home-monitoring system. Today, most drivers must use a parking place day by day. Therefore we make time shorten. Using above-mentioned ATmega8535, a sensor of infrared rays, led and lcd, we will make a parking system which is able to display parking situation and lead a car at the best position of Parking easily and quickly. Trying this project, we will be more closer to practical application of electronic engineering bit by bit.

  • MMI (Man Machine Interface) is the system that monitors the operating condition of the ATP/ATC/ATS systems and receives defined information from ATP/ATC/ATS systems through the interface with On-board systems. Based on the data from the ATP/ATC/ATS system, MMI can display the information and status of the train to secure safe operation. It is possible for the display mode and quantities of MMI to be improved by the customer's demand, and it can be designed as the same structure of existing devices for the driver. The ERTMS is Regular Safety Standards of high-speed railroad. It is fundamental structure of European Rail Control System which train control, safety and operate facilities. In this paper, I study requirements of ERTMS form which design function each section of MMI and application at ATP/ATC/ATS combined Train Constrol System.
