This study introduced the components of apparel store, which include product and service factor to reflect the modified conception of service. The purposes of this study were to investigate the dimensions of the components of apparel store and to examine consumers' rating of importance on the components of apparel store. In addition, this study explored the effect of clothing involvement and demographic variables on importance perception. Data were collected via a questionnaire from young adult females in their twenties. The results of this study revealed five dimensions of service factor: environmental service, salesperson service, attitude and policy service related to exchange and refund, policy service related to promotion, and policy service related to convenience. Factors related to product were identified price, quality, variety, fashion, design and brand. Attitude and policy service related to exchange and refund is the most important factor that consumer perceived. Salesperson service and product quality were the second important factors. The relatively important factor in each service dimension was this : display in the environmental service, the ability of salesperson to resolve customer's complaints in the salesperson service, sales person’s courtesy in managing exchange or refund in policy service. Clothing involvement and demographic variables do affect consumers’perception on importance.
The rapid growth of Korean-style buffet in recent years has increased the size of corporate investment. Under this circumstance, businesses make various marketing efforts while highlighting the features and advantages of their brands. Against this backdrop, this study aims to understand which space branding has been applied to the Korean-style buffet through case studies and to propose a method of application of space branding to increase sales in an effective manner in the future. First, the research is theoretical examination and case studies with focus on the characteristics of expressions of Korean-style buffet space branding. Basically, upon completion of examining the concept and the characteristics of expressions of the Korean-style buffet and analyzing the concept of space branding, the components of space branding have been reconstructed based on preceding studies on space branding and then have been applied to each brand space. Also, the hands-on experience of the characteristics of expression of the Korean-style buffet with space branding incorporated in it and prepared a checklist via visual inspections. And then, the field surveys based on these examinations and took approach of drawing a conclusion based on the results analysis conducted by using the SPSS statistical program. Through preceding studies, the three components of space branding, that is, sensory element, emotional element, and cognitive element have been reconstructed before proceeding with this study, which has obtained five major findings as a conclusion. First, the sensory element should be given elements differentiated enough to attract consumers' attention along with a sustainable effort to have brand image imprinted in their mind. Second, in terms of emotional element, the study has found that the brand experience oriented toward interest and participation results in higher utility frequency. Third, the study has found that the cognitive element should seek consistency in communicating with consumers with focus on face-to-face contact on the display in space. Fourth, it has been found that arranging independent spaces is necessary to attract consumers' participation. Finally, the study has identified in which location area of buffet the sensory, emotional, and cognitive elements have placed a significant weight.
Structural health monitoring (SHM) of civil infrastructure using fiber Bragg grating sensor networks (FBGSNs) has received significant public attention in recent years. However, there is currently little research on the health-monitoring technology of high-piled wharfs in coastal ports using the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor technique. The benefits of FBG sensors are their small size, light weight, lack of conductivity, resistance corrosion, multiplexing ability and immunity to electromagnetic interference. Based on the properties of high-piled wharfs in coastal ports and servicing seawater environment and the benefits of FBG sensors, the SHM system for a high-piled wharf in the Tianjin Port of China is devised and deployed partly using the FBG sensor technique. In addition, the health-monitoring parameters are proposed. The system can monitor the structural mechanical properties and durability, which provides a state-of-the-art mean to monitor the health conditions of the wharf and display the monitored data with the BIM technique. In total, 289 FBG stain sensors, 87 FBG temperature sensors, 20 FBG obliquity sensors, 16 FBG pressure sensors, 8 FBG acceleration sensors and 4 anode ladders are installed in the components of the back platform and front platform. After the installation of some components in the wharf construction site, the good signal that each sensor measures demonstrates the suitability of the sensor setup methods, and it is proper for the full-scale, continuous, autonomous SHM deployment for the high-piled wharf in the costal port. The South 27# Wharf SHM system constitutes the largest deployment of FBG sensors for wharf structures in costal ports to date. This deployment demonstrates the strong potential of FBGSNs to monitor the health of large-scale coastal wharf structures. This study can provide a reference to the long-term health-monitoring system deployment for high-piled wharf structures in coastal ports.
A preparation of water soluble components (EA) was made from carpophores of Elfvingia applanata (Pers.) Karst and its in vitro antiviral activity on vesicular stomatitis virus [(Indiana serotype, VSV(IND)] was investigated by plaque reduction assay. EA exhibited potent antiviral activity on VSV(IND) growth and negligible cytotoxicity on Vero cells, 50% effective concentration ($EC_{50}C$/) of 104$ug\textrm\/ml$ and 50% cytotoxic concentration ($CC_{50}C$) of 3,793$ug\textrm\/ml$, respectively. Selectivity index (Sl $CC_{50}C$/$EC_{50}C$) of EA on Vero cell and VSV(IND) was about 36.5. EA did not display either a direct virucidal effect on V5V(IND) or induction of antiviral substance by Vero cells upon its treatment. Thus, the mode of antiviral activity of EA was studied at steps of viral adsorption onto cell. When both EA and virus were added to cell monolayers, titer of cell-free virus in culture supernatant increased in ca. 30-40% compared with that of control group and titer of cell-associated virus was 60-100% higher than that of control group. These results suggested that antiviral activity of EA on VSV(IND) might be due to the hindrance of viral entry to cells at eITher endocytosis or loss of envelope.

The objective of this research is to improve the efficiency of data collection from many machine components on smart factory floors using IoT(Internet of things) techniques and cloud platform, and to make it easy to update outdated diagnostic schemes through online deployment methods from cloud resources. The short-term analysis is implemented by a micro-controller, and it includes machine-learning algorithms for inferring snapshot information of the machine components. For long-term analysis, time-series and high-dimension data are used for root cause analysis by combining a cloud platform and multivariate analysis techniques. The diagnostic results are visualized in a web-based display dashboard for an unconstrained user access. The implementation is demonstrated to identify its performance in data acquisition and analysis for rotating machinery.
Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) are prebiotics that have a beneficial effect on human health by promoting the growth of probiotic bacteria in the gut, in addition to having various applications in the food industry. GOS are generally produced from lactose in a reaction catalyzed by β-galactosidase. Synthesis of GOS from whey permeate (WP) (ultrafiltration of whey, concentrated then spray dried) using surface engineered β-galactosidase in Pichia pastoris (P. pastoris) is a novel method to convert waste into a valuable product. Cell-surface display is the expression of peptides and proteins on the surface of living cells by fusing them to functional components of cells. Surface engineered cells have many potential uses. The Flo1p flocculation functional domain, thought to be located near the N terminus, recognizes and adheres non-covalently to cell-wall components such as α-mannan carbohydrates, causing reversible aggregation of cells into flocs.
A division-of-amplitude type photopolarimeter has been constructed for the analysis of the dynamic optical characteristics of liquid crystal panels, one of the essential components of liquid crystal displays. In this instrument an incoming light ray, whose state of polarization is to be determined, is divided into three rays of nearly same intensities and of identical polarization state by using NPBS'(non-polarizing beam splitters). Each of the three rays is further divided into two components of orthogonal polarization states by using a PBS(polarizing cube beamsplitter) or by using a combination of a quater wave plate followed by a PBS. The intensity of each ray is measured by using a photodiode to produce a set of six photo-signals, which in turn are converted into four Stokes parameters describing the state of polarization of the incoming ray. Performance test of the insrument shows that its time resolution is 80 $mutextrm{s}$, accuracy $\pm$0.3 degrees when the state of polarization of the incoming ray is representated on the Poincare sphere.

A thermal management system of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell is taken charge of controlling the temperature of fuel cell stack by rejection of electrochemically reacted heat. Two major components of thermal management system are heat exchanger and pump which determines required amount of heat. Since the performance and durability of PEMFC system is sensitive to the operating temperature and temperature distribution inside the stack, it is necessary to control the thermal management system properly under guidance of operating strategy. The control study of the thermal management system is able to be boosted up with hardware in the loop simulation which directly connects the plant simulation with real hardware components. In this study, the plant simulation of fuel cell stack has been developed and the simulation model is connected with virtual data acquisition system. And HIL simulator has been developed to control the coolant supply system for the study of PEMFC thermal management system. The virtual data acquisition system and the HIL simulator are developed under LabVIEWTM Platform and the Simulation interface toolkit integrates the fuel cell plant simulator with the virtual DAQ display and HIL simulator.

Organic electronics are the domain in which the components and circuits are made of organic materials. This new electronics help to realize electronic and optoelectronic devices on flexible substrates. In recent years, organic materials have replaced conventional semiconductors in many electronic components such as, organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) and organic photovoltaic (OPVs). It is well known that organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have many advantages in comparison with inorganic light-emitting diodes LEDs. These advantages include the low price of manufacturing, large area of electroluminescent display, uniform emission and lower the requirement for power. The aim of this paper is to model polymer LEDs and OLEDs made with small molecules for studying the electrical and optical characteristics. The purpose of this modeling process is, to obtain information about the running of OLEDs, as well as, the injection and charge transport mechanisms. The first simulation structure used in this paper is a mono layer device; typically consisting of the poly (2-methoxy-5(2'-ethyl) hexoxy-phenylenevinylene) (MEH-PPV) polymer sandwiched between an anode with a high work function, usually an indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate, and a cathode with a relatively low work function, such as Al. Electrons will then be injected from the cathode and recombine with electron holes injected from the anode, emitting light. In the second structure, we replaced MEH-PPV by tris (8-hydroxyquinolinato) aluminum (Alq3). This simulation uses, the Poole-Frenkel -like mobility model and the Langevin bimolecular recombination model as the transport and recombination mechanism. These models are enabled in ATLAS- SILVACO. To optimize OLED performance, we propose to change some parameters in this device, such as doping concentration, thickness and electrode materials.
Recently, there has been much interest in realistic broadcasting that is a new field following HDTV and 3DTV. In general. the realistic broadcasting is composed of diverse components such as aquisition, authoring, compression, transmission and display, posing many challenging tasks. It is necessary that the types of realistic contents need to be defined prior to the development of realistic broadcasting systems. Based upon them, other components need to be designed and developed. In this paper, we propose some realistic contents suitable to the realistic broadcasting as well as techniques of generating them. Our proposed contents consist of stereoscopic multiview sequences, object-based stereoscopic images, depth map-based image compositing and the composition of stereoscopic real and graphics images. Content generation techniques and their associated software modules are presented with realistic images produced from our experiments. Those contents are produced to deliver stereoscopic perception, immersion and realism to the users as shown in our experimental results.
