  • The purpose of this study is to make an empirical analysis of how voluntary disclosure level has an impact on auditor's audit fees and audit hours and additionally identify if the relationship between the twos depends on the accounting quality. As final sample for analysis, this study targeted the KOSPI listed firms from 2007 to 2013, and as for audit fees(audit hours), 4,572 (4,460) corporate/annual data were used. The results from the empirical analysis in this study are as follows. First, auditor's audit fees appeared higher in KOSPI listed firms compared to the non-KOSPI listed firms, and when targeting the KOSPI listed firms only, the results were the same. Second, auditor's audit hours increased significantly in the KOSPI listed firms compared to the non-KOSPI listed firms, and this result appeared consistently even when analyzing the KOSPI listed firms only. Third, when the accounting quality was not good in the KOSPI listed firms, auditor's audit fees got significantly lower, whereas when targeting the KOSPI listed firms only, no relevance was found. Fourth, when the accounting quality was bad in the KOSPI listed firms, auditor's audit hours were found to have been spent less, but when analyzing the KOSPI listed firms only, such a fact was not identified. This study is significant in that it examined the fact that auditor's audit risk depends on voluntary disclosure level in terms of audit fees and audit hours.

By investigating the effects of influencer reputation, which is composed of communication skills, influence, authenticity and professionalism on marketing effect, as well as the mediating effect of parasocial relationship, the study provides some implications for influencer selecting. The effect of economic interests is examined under 4 experimental conditions of paid advertisements, brand collaboration, brand gifts and organic review to figure out how to arrange an appropriate sponsorship plan. According to results of PLS structural equation analysis, it shows that the influence and authenticity of an influencer have a significant positive effect on marketing effect and the mediating effect of parasocial relationship is partially proved. It seems that the effect of influencer reputation on marketing effect is significantly differentiated in different contexts, which confirms the moderating effect of economic interest. Distinguish from previous studies, this study focuses on types of economic interest rather than a simple comparison between sponsorship disclosure versus no disclosure and makes contributions to expanding reputation research. Meanwhile, findings of this study could give some practical implications for marketing practitioners in planning influencer marketing.

  • Utilizing intra-day volume weighted average price (VWAP) based on 1 minute return data of stocks traded on the Korean Stock Exchange, this paper examines and analyzes abnormal returns in reaction to patent listing disclosures as well as the cumulative abnormal returns, traded volumes, the interaction of VWAP spreads, the reaction of volumes, the reaction of VWAP spreads and the realized returns obtained from trading using an event driven arbitrage strategy. The results of the aforementioned research topics are follows. First, our analysis suggests that on average, 0.92% positive cumulative returns arise 1 minute after the patent listing disclosure announcement with high statistical significance, thereby reconfirming that the Korean stock market is a semi-strong form of the efficient market. Employing 3 separate panel tests differentiated by the size factor, we find that the abnormal returns of small sized stocks were less than the returns of medium sized stocks, which goes to support recent research findings suggesting that the size premium is no longer existent in the Korean stock market. Secondly, we show that among the event driven type strategies, the most outstanding realized returns are from the market making strategies. Furthermore, placing market order trades only at the bid or ask price resulted in negative returns. This implies that strategies utilizing a combination of market orders and limit orders, order cancelations ratios and order flows can enhance realized returns.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the CSR activities and to investigate the relationship between CSR activities and business performance. Specifically, we analyzed the companies that were included in the SRI index as CSR activity companies, and analyzed how they affect the business performance of the companies according to SRI index incorporation disclosure. As a result of the analysis, the SRI index incorporation announcement has a significant positive effect on the corporate value(Tobin's Q) but it has not significant effect on the financial performance(ROA). This suggests that CSR activities are offered to companies' managers and stakeholders as a basis for investment rather than expense. In the future research, it will be more meaningful if the study on the intention to participate in CSR activities is conducted based on this study and previous studies.

In the case of a company that disclosed the bad news in the previous year, the ability to predict uncertain future will be more important, and expects executives with better predictability to receive more compensation. The results of this study show that there is a significant negative(-) relationship between the accuracy of the manager's earnings forecast and the performance - compensation of the firms that disclosed the bad news in the previous year. The accuracy of the manager's disclosure is important, and it is confirmed that the manager's compensation increases as the incentive of the manager's effort to reduce future uncertainty. • As the complexity of managing online personal information is increasing and data breach incidents frequently occur, online users feel a loss of control over their privacy. Such a situation leads to their cynical attitudes towards privacy protection, called privacy cynicism. This study aims to examine the role of privacy cynicism in online users' privacy behaviors. Data were gathered from a survey that 281 people participated in and were analyzed with covariance-based structural equation modeling. The findings of this study reveal that privacy cynicism has not only a direct influence on disclosure intention but also moderates an effect of privacy concerns on the intention. The analytical results also indicate that there is a nonlinear effect of privacy cynicism on the outcome variable. This study developed the concept of privacy cynicism—a phenomenon that significantly affects online privacy behavior but has been rarely examined. The study is an initial research into the nature and implications of privacy cynicism and furthermore clarified its role by the nonlinear relationship between privacy cynicism and the willingness to disclose personal information.

  • Purpose - This study examines Chinese P2P investment decision processes from a behavioral economics approach. Research design, data, and methodology - We analyze the online P2P investment product purchase decisions of 241 respondents in China, March 2015 to May 2015. T-tests were conducted to determine whether the framing effect influenced investor investment preferences. The Association Rule was used to identify the framing effect of respondent demographic characteristics on joint decisions regarding stable or risky investment products. Results - There are significant differences between the two groups (positive framing and negative framing) and their product-choosing behavior. In the positive framing group, female investors, young investors, investors with non-financial occupations and with limited or no experience, preferred stable P2P investment products. In contrast, in the negative framing group, investors with extensive investment experience preferred risky investment products. Conclusions - The framing effect influences investor choices in online P2P investment products. It is necessary to implement comprehensive supervision and full information disclosure regarding P2P investment products. P2P investment websites can also adopt different marketing strategies according to investor gender and age.
