직렬 연결된 납축전지의 충방전 전압 특성 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Charging and Discharging for Lead Storage Batteries in Series)

  • To control the lead storage batteries it is necessary to consider the characteristics of each battery connected in series. In this study, the charging and discharging characteristics of sealed lead storage batteries 12V/1.2A was investigated one by one through experiments. The results of the experiment shows that one should consider the state of each battery to prevent overcharge or deep discharge. Also, we designed an equipment to measure battery voltages simultaneously using micro-controller. This equipment will be useful for monitoring batteries at PV generation system.

인공위성용 총방전 시스템의 해석 (Analysis of the battery charging and discharging system for spacecrafts)

  • A spacecraft power system can be divided into two types : DET system(Direct Energy Transfer system) and PPT system(Peak Power Tracking system). In a DET system employing the regulated bus voltage control method, the battery charger and discharger are widely used for the bus voltage regulation. The battery charger has two different modes of operation. One is the bus voltage regulation mode and the other is the charge current regulation mode. The battery discharger is employed to provide the power when the spacecraft is in the earth's shadow or the sun is eclipsed. The operating mode, charging or discharging, is selected by a power control circuit. In this paper, small-signal dynamic characteristics of battery charging and discharging system are analyzed to facilitate design of control loop for optimum performance. Control loop designs in various operating modes are discussed. Anaylses are verified through experiments.

  • Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) reactor with sinsodual AC type of power supply is very widely adopted for its compact size and effective discharging mechanism to generate high density of ozone radicals. However, at the aspect of design on power supply, its optimal switching conditions and topology is achieved by empirical test. Therefore, throughout this paper, it is proposed a design method of DBD power supply to guarantee a maximum ozone yield rate in accordance with DBD reactor modification and impedance variation when rapid gas discharging in the DBD reactor is proceeded.

  • 본 연구에서는 특정 자동차에 대한 Charging 시스템의 적합성 여부를 판별할 수 있는 충방전 Balance 시뮬레이터의 Prototype을 개발 하였다. 차량운전 환경요건에 따른 운전 패턴 등, 시뮬레이터의 구성을 위해 각종 전기부하와 이와 관련된 배터리 모델링을 하였고 실차실험을 행하여 그 데이터를 분석 정리하였다. 제안하는 모델과 분석된 데이터를 바탕으로 충방전 시뮬레이터를 개발하였고, 개발된 시뮬레이터는 정해진 차종으로 임의의 주행환경으로 운전할 때 차량의 전기에너지 공급 문제를 실차실험을 한 것과 같이 분석할 수 있다

  • This paper describes the design of an energy storage system using supercapacitor. The maximum discharging power and duration of the system are 5 kW and 30 second, respectively. To meet the discharging requirement a supercapacitor module(50.4 V 166 F) is selected, and its model parameters are obtained through experiment. The design and simulation results show the usefulness of the system.

  • A new mathematical model to determine the optimal gas temperatures in reheating furnace was proposed for the good quality of products. This model employs sensitivity method to calculate the optimal gas temperatures in each zone for heating the slab up to its discharging target temperature and for heating it uniformly. This method was validated by showing that the calculated discharging temperature of the slab was in a good agreement with its prescribed discharging target one through an off-line simulation.

  • An efficiency of a refrigeration cycle and a reliability of a compressor can be reduced if a refrigerant including excessive lubricating oil is exhausted from a rotary compressor. Thus, the oil behavior inside the compressor should be analyzed to improve the efficiency. A tested rotary compressor has been manufactured with visualization windows at upper parts in this study to investigate the oil behavior using developed visualization techniques. Discharge pipe with level gage has been visualized to investigate discharged oil amount. The oil behaviors inside the compressor and discharging pipe at various operating conditions have been analyzed. The results of the visualization for the discharging pipe have been compared with those of the upper part to confirm the accuracy.

  • A method for simulating general characteristics and temperature characteristics of discharging SCR of the capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer-magnetizing fixture system using SPICE is presented. This method has been developed which can aid the design, understanding and inexpensive, time-saving of magnetizing circuit. As the detailed characteristic of magnetizing circuit can be obtained, the efficient design of the magntizing circuit which produce desired magnet will be possible using our SPICE modeling. Especially, computation of the temperature rise of discharging SCR is very important since it gives some indication of thermal characteristic of discharging circuit. It is implemented on a 486 personal computer, and the modeling results are checked against experimental measures. The experimental results have been achived using 305[V] and 607[V] charging voltage, low-energy capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer-magnetizing fixture of air cleaner DC motor.

Battery State-of-Charge Estimation Algorithm Using Dynamic Terminal Voltage Measurement

  • When a battery is discharging, the battery's current and terminal voltage must both be measured to estimate its state of charge (SOC). If the SOC can be estimated by using only the current or voltage, hardware costs will decrease. This paper proposes an SOC estimation algorithm that needs to measure only the terminal voltage while a battery is discharging. The battery's SOC can be deduced from its open circuit voltage (OCV) through the relationship between SOC and OCV. But when the battery is discharging, it is not possible to measure the OCV due to the voltage drop in the battery's internal resistance (IRdrop). The proposed algorithm calculates OCV by estimating IRdrop using a dynamic terminal voltage measurement. This paper confirms the results of applying the algorithm in a hardware environment via algorithm binarization. To evaluate the algorithm, a Simulink battery model based on actual values was used.

  • In this paper, a control method using Sinusoidal Filter Controller of Silent Discharging Ozonizer is proposed and also the control methode performed robust control against variation of capacitance, command voltage and frequency. As the control system for this methode, Sinusoidal Filter Algorism can be simplified configuration of the power supply by using a low-pass filter. Through simulations and experiment results, the proposed control methode compensates for the high voltage waveform to the ozonizer.
