일유량 분석을 이용한 대규모 저수지의 퇴사량 추정 (Sediment Estimation of Large Reservoir Using Daily Flowrate Analysis)

  • The objective of this study Is to supply basic data for large reservoir sedimentation research In future and make suggestions to maintain and opera능 the reservoir more of efficiently. At first, previous studios about the estimation of sediment yield rate were reviewed in Korea. And the discharge rating curves of upstream stage gauging stations and the correlation between dam Inflow and stage discharge were analyzed. With the analysis results, the spec유c sediment rate of Soyanggang dam was estimated as 608 m3/km2/yr. It was similar to that of Soyanggang dam feasibility study and 1994's field surveys of the reservoir than that of 1983's field surveys. Because the sediment rating curves were derived under the low discharge conditions, It needs to be checked under the flood conditions. However, the suggested methods such as flowrate analysis and sediment estimation will be useful to the sediment studios In future. 로터형 슬러리 펌프 개발을 위한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation of the Development of a Rotor Type Slurry Pump)

  • 본 연구는 토네이도와 축류펌프의 원리를 적용하여 마중물 없이 슬러리를 송출할 수 있는 새로운 펌프기술 개발을 목적으로 한다. 개발한 로터형 슬러리 펌프는 전동모터, 구동축 및 커플링, 로터, 임펠러 그리고 흡입 및 송출관으로 구성된다. 청수를 이용한 성능실험에서는 로터의 설계조건에 따른 송출량, 소비 전력량 그리고 흡입관 부압특성에 대해 모터의 회전수를 변수로 검증하였으며, 시멘트를 이용하여 제조한 슬러리의 고형물 농도에 따른 송출량 특성에 대한 검증연구를 수행하였다. 로터의 직경과 높이가 커지면 송출량과 소비되는 전력량은 증가하지만 흡입관 부압은 감소하였으며, 송출량과 부압에 미치는 로터 두께의 영향은 거의 나타나지 않았다. 개발지표로 제시하였던 18 % 이상의 고형물 농도에서도 슬러리의 송출이 가능함을 확인하였다.

필터 블록을 이용한 하천용수 취수시스템의 유량특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Flowrate for the Intake System using the Filter Block)

  • 하도 내 보를 설치하지 않고 용수를 취수할 수 있는 필터 블록으로 구성된 하천용수 취수시스템이 제안되었다. 이를 하천에 적용하기 위해 수리학적 특성에 관한 분석이 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 필터 블록으로 구성된 하천용수 취수시스템을 통과하는 유량특성에 대한 수리실험을 수행하였다. 실험수로 바닥에 사석 및 구슬을 이용하여 필터 블록을 구현하였고 다양한 유량조건에서 실험을 수행하여 취수시스템으로 통과하는 유량을 측정하였다. 취수시스템으로 접근하는 수심이 증가할수록 취수시스템으로 전환되는 유량이 증가하는 것으로 나타났고 Froude 수가 증가하면 전환되는 유량이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 경향은 취수시스템의 필터 블록 특성과 관계없이 동일하게 나타났다. 유량계수는 Froude 수에 관계없이 일정한 값을 나타냈지만 필터 블록의 사석 및 구슬의 입경에 따라 변화하였고 필터 블록 재료의 입경에 0.6승으로 증가함을 보였다.

하수관거 유량자료의 보정방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Modification Method of Flow Data in the Sewage System)

  • In order to modify incorrect flow data in the sewage system, the method using the stage-discharge relation and hydraulic characteristic curve of sewer pipe are applied. The modified data were verified with field measured data and the infiltration analysis using the modified data was carried out. When flowrate were measured using the flow-meter in fair weather, the stage data were comparatively consistent but velocity data were very poor for the most part. Therefore, it was recommended that sewage flowrate variation characteristic curve and infiltration were computed using the modified data on the basis of stage data. Especially, in the case of using the hydraulic characteristic curve, extrapolation results of the rainy season flowrate using regression curve on the basis of the data in fair weather were also reasonable.

  • The discharge coefficient in segmental wedge having ninety degrees vertex angle for the five kinds of opening ratio with differential pressure taps located at both upstream and downstream of one diameter of pipe was measured main purpose of this work is placed on developing the proper form of an equation for the discharge coefficient of a segmental wedge used as a primary element of flow metering devices, and from thata six-term equation which can express the variability of opening ratios was developed. The same assumption and hypotheses were used and tested for all procedures as conventional differential producers; however, the range of the opening ratio over this work is more expanded than previous studies. The opening ratios of segmental wedge, namely 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 were investigated the Reynolds number based on the spool inside diameter ranges from 12,000 to 380,000, the resulting equation for the discharge coefficient is relatively simple; it contains only one variable-opening ratio because the characteristic of discharge coefficient of segmental wedge has little connection with the Reynolds number as shown by previous studies.

  • In this investigative study, the unit mass discharge for the major water quality parameters such as flowrate, SS, BOD, CODmn, CODcr, TN, TP from textile spinning/weaving industry nearby Nakdong river basin was estimated. To represent the respective industries, three companies from hundreds of textile spinning/weaving industries located in Nakdong river basin was carefully selected based on its manufacturing goods, flowrate and location for the estimation of unit mass discharge based on unit operation and process. There was a drastic decrease of unit mass discharge estimation between influents and effluents of water quality parameters, which represents the removal capacity of wastewater treatment plant. With the advent of new regulation on the imposed payment proportional to the total amount of pollutants discharge into the water body, the concept of cleaner production technology should be employed in the unit operation/process in wastewater treatment plant as well as textile manufacturing procedure to minimize the levy on the pollutants discharge. Unit mass discharge estimations of unit process (estimated in this study) in major water quality parameters (SS, BOD, COD, TN and TP) based on land were similar to those of composite process (estimated by National Institute of Environmental Research). But the unit mass discharge estimations of unit process in BOD and CODmn based on total sale were much higher than those of composite one while in SS, TN and TP similar to each other. For the detailed estimation of the imposed payment, unit mass estimation based on unit process should be further emphasized.

  • The present paper provides the design specifications and working principle of flow controlling vortex valve which will be adopted in a Korean next generation reactor (APR1400). The vortex valve is installed inside the pressurized safety injection tank of APR1400, and it passively controls the water discharge flowrate from the tank. In the present study, the performance of the vortex valve have been evaluated throughout the repeated experiments in the full-scale test facility called VAPER(VAlve Performance Evaluation Rig). Based on the experimental results, it is confirmed that the currently developed vortex valve satisfies the major performance requirements of APR1400 plant design in view of the peak discharge flowrate, pressure loss coefficient, and total discharge duration time. To achieve the highest quality of the experimental results, a quality assurance program for vortex valve tests has been strictly applied.

  • During the rainy season, heavy downpours are always a source of concern for the world. Flooding and heavy rains can devastate communities, disrupt agriculture, and contribute to traffic accidents.. Weir and flow hall effect sensors are the conventional analytical methods for measuring flow rate; in this paper, we analyzed manhole flowrate statistics. The measurement of the flow rate of a notch/weir is a time-consuming task that necessitates continuous mathematical analysis. . We created three types of IoT sensors in this study: (HC-SR04 ultrasonic, YF-S201 magnetic, and HB100 radar), which take the sensor's real-time input signal and estimate the flow using a notch equation and a previously calibrated optimized coefficient of discharge. The proposed systems are cost-effective, but in terms of accuracy, we found that the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is the best of the three systems

  • Standard on the carbon dioxide extinguishing system was prepared by the committed of the national fire protection assocition(NFPA)in USA on 1980. And this code is also applied to the design of a marine fire extinguishing system The most important problem in design is the uniform discharge of $CO_2$ through each nozzle from the high pressure $CO_2$ storage facility. The purpose of this paper is to develop the computer software to design the marine fire protection piping system. By solving the continuity equation energy equation and Bernoulli's equation simulataneously the flowrate in branch pipelines and discharge nozzles can be calculated.

소수력발전 성능특성 분석기법 연구 (Performance Analyzing Technique of Small Hydro Power)

  • A methodology to predict the output performance of small hydro power using discharge of sewage treatment plant has been studied. Two sewage treatment plants existing in Chunrabuk-Do were selected and the output performance characteristics for these plants were analyzed, using developed model. As a result, it was found that the developed model in this study can be used to analyze the output characteristics for small hydro power using discharge of sewage treatment plant. Additionally, primary design specifications such as design flowrate, capacity, operational rate and annual electricity production were estimated and discussed for two plants.
