양수발전기 고정자 권선에서 운전중 및 정지중 부분방전 특성 (On-Line and Off-Line Partial Discharge Properties in the Pumped Storage Generator Stator Windings)

  • Partial discharge(PD) tests were performed both when the pumped storage generator(rated 13.8kV and 220MVA) was on-line and off-line. This generator has been equipped with 12 bus coupler sensors in directional mode. PD tests were conducted using partial discharge analyzer(PDA), partial discharge meter(PDM) and digital partial discharge detector. PDA showed that the patterns of the normalized quantity number(NQN) and the partial discharge magnitude are in accord with on-line and off-line. The insulation condition was estimated by diagnostic tests(off-line) such as PD magnitude and dissipation factor.

  • Effects of delay and panel temperature on the discharge time lag and the controllability of weak discharge mode were studied under single cell driving circumstances of ac PDP. It was found that sufficient number of priming particle is necessary for inducing weak discharge in ramp voltage driving. Discharge time lag was reduced dramatically under elevated panel temperature condition It is speculated that decrement of discharge time lag at the high temperature is related to the reduction of diffusion loss of charged particles during the after glow.

  • This study describes the structure and operation modes of vertical stabilization (VS) converter for international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER) and proposes a protection method. ITER VS converter supplies voltage (${\pm}1000V$)/current (${\pm}22.5kA$) to superconducting magnets for plasma current vertical stabilization. A four-quadrant operation must be achieved without zero-current discontinuous section. The operation mode of the VS converter is separated in 12-pulse mode, 6-pulse mode and circulation current mode according to the magnitude of the load current. Protection measures, such as bypass and discharge, are proposed for abnormal conditions, such as over current, over voltage, short circuit, and voltage sag. VS converter output voltage is controlled to satisfy voltage response time within 20 msec. Bypass operation is completed within 60 msec and discharge operation is performed successfully. The feasibility of the proposed control algorithm and protection measure is verified by assembling a real controller and implementing a power system including the VS converter in RTDS for a hardware-in-loop (HIL) facility.

  • 본 연구는 PWM 방식의 스크롤 압축기를 적용한 에어컨 시스템의 압축기 운전주기, 실내 온도, 그리고 실외온도를 변화시키면서 시스템 에어컨의 최적효율을 나타내는 압축기 토출온도 상관식을 도출하고자 실험연구를 수행하였다. 실험은 실내 및 실외 온도변화에 따른 시스템의 성능 및 압축기 토출온도를 측정 하고자 다양한 온도를 설정하였다. 압축기 토출온도는 로딩듀티와 실외온도가 증가함에 따라 선형적으로 증가하였다. 로딩듀티(loading duty)와 실외온도 변화에 따른 압축기 토출온도는 실내온도 변화보다 실외온도의 변화에 더 크게 변화하였다. 압축기 토출온도 상관식은 실외온도, 실내온도, 그리고 로딩듀티의 함수로 표현되었으며, 실험으로부터 획득된 압축기 토출온도와 최대 $3^{\circ}C$ 이내에서 만족함을 확인하였다.

영전압 방전이 가능한 새로운 방식의 2차전지 충방전기 (New Secondary Battery Charger/Discharger Available for Zero Voltage Discharge)

  • This paper proposes a new secondary battery charger/discharger available for zero voltage discharge which is used for test equipments and formation process. The proposed system is a switching type converter, and thus the system is high efficiency and more compact as compared with linear type charger/discharger. Conventional switching type charger/discharger can not discharge secondary batteries to zero voltage because of voltage drops in the switching elements and long distributing line(typically 10m). However, the proposed system is able to discharge the battery to zero voltage in constant current mode regardless of the voltage drops. In this paper, we analyze the proposed charger/discharger and the validity of the system is verified by simulation and experiment.

Spectroscopic Identification of Isomeric 2,3- and 2,6-Dimethylbenzyl Radicals in Corona Discharge

  • We resolved the controversial assignments of the visible vibronic bands observed from corona discharge of 1,2,3-trimethylbenzene. The vibronic bands belonging to the jet-cooled 2,6-dimethylbenzyl radical were clearly identified from the spectrum observed from corona discharge of 2,6-dimethylbenzyl chloride. After subtracting the bands of the 2,6-isomer from the spectrum observed from corona discharge of 1,2,3-trimethylbenzene, the vibronic bands of the 2,3-isomer were also identified. By comparing data with the known vibrational data of 1,2,3-trimethylbenzene and the results of ab initio calculations, we determined the electronic energies of the $D_1{\rightarrow}D_0$ transitions and vibrational mode frequencies in the ground electronic states of the 2,3-and 2,6-dimethylbenzyl radicals.

유량 지니계수를 이용한 유황분석방안 (Flow regime analysis method by using discharge Gini coefficient)

  • 본 연구에서는 연중 일유량의 불균등 정도를 파악하기 위해 "유량 지니계수"라는 새로운 개념의 분석방법을 제시한다. 유량 지니계수는 오름차순한 연중 일유량 발생일자의 누계백분율과 일최빈유량의 오름차순 누계백분율과의 면적관계를 이용하여 산정한다. 유량 지니계수는 0~1 사이의 값으로 표현되며, 불균등의 정도는 5단계로 구분할 수 있다. 유량 지니계수를 이용하면 상류 지점에 대한 하류 지점의 유량 안정도를 산정할 수 있다. 또한, 유황분석 기준유량별로 불균등에 미치는 영향의 정도를 수치적으로 파악할 수 있다. 4대강 본류 상·하류 8개 지점의 장기간 일유량 자료를 이용하여 유량 지니계수의 적용성을 검토하였다. 유량지니계수는 상류 댐에 의한 하류에서의 유량조절 효과를 분석하는 데에도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The discharge characteristics of a flat plasma backlight with long electrode gap are investigated. The effect of operating voltage and repetition rate on brightness and luminance efficiency is investigated. A new high efficacy mode is found at low frequencies around 15-40 KHz; a lumen efficacy of 15.3 lm/W is achieved at a luminance of $2400\;cd/m^2$. In the high brightness mode, present at high voltage, we find a maximum luminance of $5900\;cd/m^2$ at 30KHz.

디젤엔진의 후처리장치로서 PCD 플라즈마 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PCD Plasma System as an After Treatment Apparatus in Diesel Engine)

  • The selective catalytic reduction(SCR) system used to reduce NOx in diesel engines requires an NO/$NO_2$ ratio of about 1 in exhaust emissions to realize the fast SCR mode at temperatures lower than $300^{\circ}C$. This study investigated the characteristics of a plasma system as a pre-active apparatus for the fast SCR reaction mode of an SCR system. Plasma was generated by the pulse corona discharge(PCD) method with a four-channel wire-cylinder reactor. This study showed that plasma was easily generated in the exhaust gas by the PCD system, and the peak voltage of the normal state condition for plasma generation was generally 12 kV. The PCD system easily converted NO into $NO_2$ at lower temperatures and the NO/$NO_2$ conversion ratio increased with the discharge current for plasma generation. But the PCD system could not convert NO into $NO_2$ at higher engine speeds and higher engine loads due to the lack of oxygen in exhaust gas. The PCD system also activated the diesel oxidation catalysts(DOC) system to reduce CO emissions.
