Heating Properties and Pore structure of Cementitious Joint by Induction Heating (시멘트계 접합부의 유도가열에 의한 승온특성 및 공극구조)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest basic data for development optimal disassembly manufacturing system during analysis pore structure and heating properties of cementitious joint using conductive resister by induction heating. From the results, we knew cementitious joint is weak easily by heating of conductive resister, such as wire mesh, punching metal, and steel fiber, from induction heating.

  • To save time and cost in assembly process and to improve th quality of products, it is very important to choose and optimal assembly sequence. In this paper, we propose a methodology that generates an optimal assembly sequence by using various methods and the knowledge of experts. To illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, a knowledge-based system is developed, The built system is applied to the case of UBR(Unit Bath Room). The applying result showed the applicability of the developed system.

  • PDF is widely accepted as a standard document format and now it supports 3D contents as well. Within the engineering application areas, this new 3D feature may be used to support sharing of 3D documents and thus collaboration between engineering departments, suppliers and partners. In this paper, we describe a system that automatically generates formatted engineering documents including 3D data converted from 3D applications such as commercial 3D CAD viewer. The system consists of two major modules. One is U3D conversion module and the other is PDF conversion module. U3D conversion module extracts geometry, view data, assembly and disassembly information from 3D viewer and converts to U3D format, currently in IDTF text file format. PDF conversion module generates a PDF file and inserts U3D data, various annotation information, and scripts for custom generated operations such as assembly and disassembly in the PDF document.

  • Overhaul and repair service means the sequential processes of disassembly, repair and reassembly for a product which has been used for a long time. Overhaul is required for the companies producing airplanes, ships, trains, military weapons and heavy industrial equipments which are very expensive and have a long life cycle. The most important performance measure of the overhaul repair shop is usually the lead time. Thus, how to design the manufacturing system to meet the delivery date is a major concern in overhaul repair shop. This paper introduces the case study of an overhaul repair shop producing military weapon systems with the 3D simulation tool, $QUEST^{TM}$. At first, the characteristics of overhaul shop and what should be considered for simulation modeling are explained. Then, various simulation scenarios including two types of disassembly systems, one is flow line system and the other is cell system, are discussed with the results of simulation experiments.

  • This study proposes a new technique to design and control of robot hand gripper for assembling and disassembling of a machine parts. The motion equation describing dynamics of the manipulators and object together with geometric constraint is formulated by Lagrange-Euler's equation. And the problems of controlling both the grasping force and the rotation angle of the grasped object under the constraints are analyzed. The effect of geometric constraints and a method of computer simulation for overall system is verified. Finally, it is illustrated that even in case of there exists a sensory feedback from sensing data of the rotational angle of the object to command inputs control of joint and this feedback connection from sensing data to control grasping of machinery parts.

  • This paper describes the evaluation methods and criteria used verify field performance of automatic multi-coupler for the PMC rolling stock. Automatic multi-coupler was designed and manufactured by KRRI , Woojin electric machinery CO., and Yujinchajeon MFG.CO., LTD in 1999. Through field performance test of PMC rolling stock, vibration, brake system, assembly and disassembly of complex train were measured on the condition of service operation. As a result, test results meet the criteria proposed by KNR and KRRI.

  • In this study, it is performed that the assessment of feasibility of developed material processing facilities using tele-operation manipulator system for the pyroprocessing. To evaluate the performance of developed facilities using tele-operation system, several performance indices are considered as remote visibility, remote reachability and remote manipulability. These are applied to RHEM (Remote Handling Evaluation Mock-up) and digital mock-up system respectively. Through this approaches, several requirements for the system improvement are deduced and preliminary inspection for real system application is fully performed. Additionally, assembly and disassembly tasks for the repair of remote handling system are also examined remotely in RHEM and evaluated those performances.

  • Today the tastes of consumers change rapidly and the kinds of the products become diverse. Therefore the product life cycle becomes shorter and shorter. Moreover the save of resources and the recycling for the environmental preservation are the essential theme. On this the necessary information for the product development increases enormously. For the right use of the information the design process should be supported by the proper design tool. For this the 'design catalogue system for recycling' is suggested here. This system consists of four parts, that is, 'the existing automobile system database', 'working principle database', 'assessment system of the ease of disassembly' and 'one's own product development database' By the use of this system the product development period could be reduced about 30% drastically.

  • Recently, Manufacturers have recognized the importance of recycling because of the limitation of natural resources and new and proposed laws and legislations that assign responsibility to manufacturer for the ultimate disposal of their products and the environmental problems. In this paper, products assembled recyclable parts and non-recyclable parts are collected after consumer usage and go into a plant. And the collected recyclable parts are disassembled through the disassembly process and have three attributes - re-usable attribute, re-manufacturing attribute and dumping attribute. In this situation, we deal with a production planning for recycle-oriented manufacturing system. The proposed model maximizing the profit in a system is formulated as a mixed-integer linear programming. And then a numerical example is used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed model
