STS 316L의 재결정 열처리법을 이용한 구속효과 평가 (Evaluation of the Plastic Region Using Recrystallization Heat Treatment for Constraint Effect with STS 316L)

  • The constraint effect $A_2$ has to be evaluated within plastic region near crack tip front using opening displacement. Plastic boundary and stress or strain conditions in the vicinity of the crack tip using recrystallization heat treatment was represented. It was found that the plastic deformation boundary by recrystallization heat treatment method was the true strain of ${\epsilon}t$ = 0.05mm/mm. With the estimation of constraint effects $A_2$, the region of proper displacement measurement point near crack tip was between 0mm and 1mm distance toward direction of crack propagation, and was between 1mm to 3mm distance toward direction of load line.

Estimation of lateral pile resistance incorporating soil arching in pile-stabilized slopes

  • Piles installed in row(s) are used as an effective technique to improve the stability of soil slopes. The analysis of pile-stabilized slopes require a reliable prediction of lateral resistance offered by the piles. In this work, an analytical solution is developed to estimate the lateral resistance offered by the stabilizing piles in sand and c - 𝜙 soil slopes considering soil arching phenomenon. The soil arching in both horizontal direction (between the neighboring piles) and vertical direction (in the active wedge in front of the pile row) are studied and their effects are incorporated in the proposed model. The shape of soil arch is assumed to be circular and principal stress trajectories are defined separately for both modes of arching. Experimental and numerical studies found in literature were used to validate the proposed method. A detailed parametric analysis was performed to study the influence of pile diameter, center-to-center spacing, slope angle and angle of internal friction on the lateral pile resistance.

3경간 연속곡선교의 지진응답 특성분석 (Analysis of seismic response of 3-span continuous curved bridges)

  • Little has been understood about the seismic behavior of curved bridges due to the different structural characteristics compared to straight bridges. In this study, a simple numerical model, widely used for seismic analysis, is modified for a more realistic estimation of the seismic behavior. The seismic response of curved bridges obtained with the modified simple numerical model was compared with the result using a more sophisticated model to verify the feasibility. Seismic analyses were performed on three-span continuous curved bridges, which is a structural system widely used in highway structures. Numerical model of the three-span continuous curved bridges were subjected to seismic loads in diverse directions. From the result of the analysis. it was found that the direction of the seismic load have significant effect of the seismic behavior of curved bridges when the central angle exceeds 90 degrees.

  • 3차원 물체의 인식과 공간 정보를 추출해 내는 것이 물체인식의 주요 목적이다. 본 논문에서는 평면의 표면을 갖는 기하학적 물체들을 인식하는데 인공신경망이 적용 가능함이 조사되었다. 물체인식을 위한 모델들은 CAD모델들로부터 자동적으로 추출되며, 획득된 물체의 영상과 일치하는 물체의 국면(aspect)과의 매칭은 조건만족 인경신경망을 이용하여 매칭-오차를 최소화시키는 방법을 처리되었다. 인식된 물체의 국면이 어느 방향에서 획득되었는지에 대한 정보(Aspect's view direction)는 검색된 가시 평면들의 분포로부터 추출됨을 ART와 같은 인공신경망을 이용하여 실시간으로 복원할 수 있음을 보였다. 대표적이 측정방향과 이 측정방향으로부터의 편차들을 한 범주에 넣고 학습을 통해 정확한 측정방향 정보들을 구하며, 획득된 3차원 물체의 영상들에 따라 자동적으로 측정방향범주 들이 추가되도록 한다.

  • This study is on the architectural planning and factors for secondary schools. The methods in the approach to the results were settled. A sample of factors that affect architectural scale design were drawn from architectural design direction for a secondary school architectural scale estimation direction. These factors arc broken into primary elements and situational elements. Primary elements include students, teachers, and time. Situational elements include public use percentage, classroom percentage, unit area, coefficient of utilization, etc. The 7 architectural planning criteria to cover changes of various architectural scale design elements are the following; 1) consideration of students selection percentage, 2) consideration of the number of teachers, 3) a variety of possible classrooms, 4) organic operation, 5) efficient time management, 6) consideration of different teaching method depending on subjects, 7) coefficient of utilization with flexibility.

  • A localization system to estimate the position as well as movement direction of mobile robots is proposed in this paper. This system implements a camera fixed on a robot and color patches evenly distributed and mounted on the planar ceiling. Different permutations of patch colors code information about robot localization. Thus, extraction of color information from patch images leads to estimation of robot position. Additionally, simple geometric indicators are combined with patch colors to estimate robot's movement direction. Since only the distribution of patch colors has to be known, the analysis of patch images to is relatively fast and simple. The proposed robot localization system has been successfully tested for navigation of sample mobile robot. Obtained test results indicate the robustness and reliability of proposed technique for robot navigation.

  • Sand scorpions are nocturnal animals to mostly use tactile senses to detect their prey. It has been reported that sand scorpions have high vibration sensitivity for their prey-localizing behavior. We tested vibration experiments in the sand with microphone sensors to model the sand scorpion's behavior and a time-difference model was applied to find the direction of a vibration source. Using the information of the arrival time of the vibration signal to reach each leg position, we can find the location of the vibration source.

  • Nowadays adaptive technique allows arrays of any geometry to be used with fast direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimators designed for linear arrays. So the interpolation of data from a given antenna array onto the output of a virtual array is needed before the direction finding technique is applied to the outputs of a uniform linear virtual array (ULVA). In this paper some superresoluntion methods are used to estimate DOA by best-fit transformation matrix T under different nonuniformly spaced array.

  • Standard values in graphic porms are presented for the ratio of added wave resistance to the sun of added wave and wind resistances in head sea for three ship types, tanker, container ship and passenger ship. The effect of ship length on the ratio defined above is investigated for the three ship types. Obique sea added resistance is determined using wave direction reduction factor. The factor is obtained from model test results and cubic spline interpolation technique.

  • 본 논문에서는 손목형 가속도계를 이용하여 운동 가속도가 없는 행동들을 인식하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 중력 가속도 값과 손목 방향의 가속도 값 간의 각도를 구하고, 이를 통해 흡연과 식사의 손목 행동을 모델링하여 흡연 시간과 식사 시간을 추론한다. 대학원생 1명으로부터 수집한 약 7시간 데이터를 통해 흡연 시간을 추론 결과 98.96%의 정확도를 보이고, 대학원생 2명으로부터 수집한 약 9시간 데이터로부터 식사 시간을 추론한 결과 99.36%의 정확도를 보인다.
