A Hydraulic-Oil Pump System using SR Drive with a Direct Torque Control Scheme

  • The hydraulic-oil pump is widely used for building machinery, brake systems of vehicles and automatic control systems due to its high dynamic force and smooth linear force control performance. This paper presents a novel direct instantaneous pressure control of the hydraulic pump system with SRM drive. The proposed hydraulic pump system embeds the pressure controller and direct instantaneous torque controller. Due to the proportional relationship between pump pressure and torque, pressure can be controlled by the motor torque directly. The proposed direct torque controller can reduce inherent torque ripple of SRM, and develop a smooth torque, which can increase the stability of the hydraulic pump. The proposed hydraulic pump system has also fast step response and load response. The proposed hydraulic pump system is verified by computer simulation and experimental results.

전력시장 환경하에 입찰기반의 직접부하제어 운영방안 (Bid-based Direct Load Control Framework Under Electricity Markets)

  • This paper proposes Direct Load Control(DLC) operation scheme using a bidding system and the methodology to value proper quantity decided by the DLC program, which is a kind of resources for stabilization of electricity market price during peak times by managing consumer electricity demand. Since DLC program in Korea is based on the contract with the customers participating in this program, it is difficult to anticipate voluntary participation. That is, incentive for participants in DLC program is insufficient. To cope with this point, it is necessary to develop a new market mechanism and market compatible operation scheme for DLC programs. DLC market mechanism is deemed to be equipped with iterative bidding system, independent operation from energy market, and interactive with bidding information on energy market. With this market mechanism, it is important to find the optimal operation point of DLC allowing for the factors of stabilizing the electricity market price and compensating DLC implementation. This paper focuses on the mathematical approaches for the bid-based DLC operation scheme and examines several scenarios for the following technical justifications: 1) stabilization of electricity market price during peak times, 2) elasticity of demand.

  • Most of the electric power in the power system of South Korea is flowing from the south area to the north area, Seoul, in the capital of South Korea. Almost of the needs of the electric power in the capital area are about 43% of the total loads and generation plants are mainly located in the south area of South Korea. As mentioned the earlier characteristic, transmission congestion is one of the important research issues. Because of the limits of the power flows from the south to the north which are anticipated to be increased more and more in the future, these congestion situations may cause a serious voltage stability problem in emergency of the power system. Accordingly, we are interested in an interruptible load control program so as to solve this problem in emergency. This problem can be solved by an interruptible load management in emergency, however, the systematic and effective mechanism has not been presented yet. In this paper, the algorithm of interruptible load management plan using the line sensitivity to the loads for the transmission congestion management in emergency is presented. The proposed method is applied to 6-Bus sample system and their results are presented.

하중 제어 모델에서의 미사일 유도 법칙 하중 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study of Load Control for Missile Guidance on Load Control Model)

  • 현재 움직이는 물체의 운동을 제어하기 위해 하중이라는 개념의 사용이 시도되고 있다. 하중이라는 제어 개념으로 불확실성으로 인한 비선형성을 포함한 시스템에서 신뢰성 있는 제어값을 찾기 위해 MIN 설계 방법이 제안되었다. 이러한 MIN설계 방법에서는 기존의 선형화 방법에 의한 상태방정식에서의 제어값을 찾는 문제와 달리 비선형하중 모델에서 직접 제어 값을 찾는 방식을 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 미사일 하중 운동역학과 유도 기하학의 비선형 역학을 고려한 하중 제어값을 찾는다. 즉 시선각 또는 미사일의 받음각 변화에 따른 진행방향에 대한 미사일의 속도 조건을 만족하기 위한 제어값과 표적을 따라가기 위한 선회 각도을 위한 제어값을 구한다. 즉 본 논문에서는 미사일 시스템과 추적 동역학에서 하중 제어값을 구해본다. 이렇게 구해진 하중 제어값으로 유도 제어 법칙을 비선형 시스템에서 직접 쉽게 구할 수 있음을 확인해 보았다.

  • The commutation and control in matrix converters is more complicated as in voltage source converters. Natural freewheeling paths do not exist and the theoretic absent storage elements result in a direct coupled system of load and line currents as well as voltages. The paper offers an overview about staggered commutation and control policies in matrix converters. Based on the knowledge about load current direction and the signs of the line to line input voltages different multi-step commutation policies were derived. This paper examines the application of that policies in the case of space vector modulation and direct control methods with the focus on the resulting effects to the reference output voltage deviation.

  • A robust position control scheme for a Brushless Direct Drive Motor(BLDDM) is presented. To obtain the robustness under the load variation, a Variable Structure Controller(VSC) is used. However, the VSC has a chattering problem and require the full state informations. To overcome this problem, in this paper, the sliding mode observer is used for compensating the load disturbance and estimating the motor velocity. As a result, the VSC for a BLDDM posision control is designed by using only position measurment and the chattering problem is greatly reduced. To show the validaty of the proposed scheme, the simulation study is carried out.

  • 본 논문에서는 압력예측기법과 직접 순시토크 제어기법을 통한 유압펌프용 SRM의 압력제어 구동시스템을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 유압 펌프 시스템은 유압센서의 응답성으로 인하여 제어시스템의 시지연이 비교적 길어지게 되며, 이러한 시간지연은 PI 또는 PID 제어 구조에서 장시간의 진동과 불안정화를 만들기 쉽다. 본 논문에서는 시간 지연문제를 해결하고 리플이 없는 압력제어를 위하여 스미스 예측기(simth predictor)를 통한 지연보상과 직접 순시토크제어기법(Direct Instantaneous Torque, 이하 DITC)을 적용하였다. 제안된 제어 방식은 펌프와 센서간의 기구적 문제에 의한 지연문제 해결과 안정성을 확보하고, 펌프 압력제어의 동특성을 향상시키며 전류(轉流, commutation) 구간에서 균일한 토크를 발생시켜 토크 리플을 억제하기 위함이다. 제안된 제어방식은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 효용성을 검증하였다.

  • Recently, the power load is growing larger and because of the environmental limitation of generation, the expansion of generation facilities are becoming more difficult. For that reason the importance of the demand-side resources come to be higher. One method of the demand-side resource, the DLC Program, has executed, and moreover, the loads which are available to be controlled are increasing. It should be considered of some kinds of power system components such as DLCs, because the fact that using the demand resources will be an important part of the power system. This paper considers the power factor of the load-bus which is shedded in the direct load control program. and then analyze the power system using flow sensitivity and voltage sensitivity. In this paper, we assumed two scenarios through the rank of the load power factor at each bus and to compare and evaluate each case, we used Power World for the simulation.

  • DLC(Direct Load Control) program has been introduced and operated for the stabilization of power demand. DLC program takes effect in accordance with political judgment of government (operating reserve ratio etc), which is controlled by DLC system mechanism. So we would improve understanding of DLC program participant introducing about control procedure in detail and also propose direction of development about control system.
