The present work deals with selective deposition of copper on fluoropolymers patterned silicon (111) surfaces. The pattern of fluoropolymer was fabricated by nanoimprint lithography (NIL) and plasma reactive ion etching (RIE) was used to remove the residuals layers. Copper was electrochemically deposited in bare Si regions which were not covered with fluoropolymers. The patterns of fluoropolymers and copper have been investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In this work, we used two deposition methods. One is galvanic displacement method and another is electrodeposition. Selective deposition works in both cases and it shows applicability to other materials. By optimization of the deposition conditions can be achieved therefore this process represents a simple approach for a direct high resolution patterning of silicon surfaces.
The conventional mouthguard fabrication process consists of elastomeric impression taking and followed gypsum model making is now into intraoral scanning and direct mouthguard 3D printing with an additive manufacturing process. Also, dental professionals can get various diagnostic data collection such as facial scans, cone-beam CT, jaw motion tracking, and intraoral scan data to superimpose them for making virtual patient datasets. To print mouthguards, dental CAD software allows dental professionals to design mouthguards with ease. This article shows how to make 3D printed mouthguard step by step.
A guide-wave electro-optical modulatored direct-ional coupler 1X2 was fabricated on LiNbO$_3$ by proton exchange with self-aligned method After proton exchange process, the waveguide is formed by annealing process, The relationship between refractive index change of waveguide and maximun output was studied a long the annealing time. A self-alinged method was used to simplify the fabrication process of the waveguide and the maximize the efficiency of electric field. The modulatored directional coupler 1${\times}$2 has very good figures of merits; The measured crosstalk was -29.5[dB] and the modulating voltage of 8.0[V].
This paper describes the design methodology, manufacturing process, rebar tensile and bending properties. Braidtrusion is a direct Composite fabrication technique utilizing an in-line braiding and pultrusion process. The produced Composite rebar exhibits ductile stress-strain behavior similar to that of conventional steel bar. Various rebar diameters ranging from modeling scale(3m) to full-scale prototype of 9.5mm have been produced Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics(GFRP) rebar were successfully fabricated at $\phi$8.5mm and $\phi$9.5mm nominal diameters of soild and hollow type using a braidtrusion process. Tensile and bending specimens were tested and compared with behavior of stress-strain of GFRP rebar and steel bar.
This paper describes on an advanced technology of 3C-SiC/Si(100) wafer direct bonding using PECVD oxide to intermediate layer for SiCOI(SiC-on-Insulator) structure because it has an attractive characteristics such as a lower thermal stress, deposition temperature, more quick deposition rate and higher bonding strength than common used poly-Si and thermal oxide. The PECVD oxide was characterized by ATR-FTIR. The bonding strength with variation of HF pre treatment condition was measured by tensile strength measurement system. After etch-back using TMAH solution, roughness of 3CSiC surface crystallinity and bonded interface was measured and analyzed by AFM, XRD, and SEM respectively.
Nanoengineered materials with advanced architectures are critical building blocks to modulate conventional material properties or amplify interface behavior for enhanced device performance. While several techniques exist for creating one dimensional heterostructures, electrospinning has emerged as a versatile, scalable, and cost-effective method to synthesize ultra-long nanofibers with controlled diameter (a few nanometres to several micrometres) and composition. In addition, different morphologies (e.g., nano-webs, beaded or smooth cylindrical fibers, and nanoribbons) and structures (e.g., core-.shell, hollow, branched, helical and porous structures) can be readily obtained by controlling different processing parameters. Although various nanofibers including polymers, carbon, ceramics and metals have been synthesized using direct electrospinning or through post-spinning processes, limited works were reported on the compound semiconducting nanofibers because of incompatibility of precursors. In this work, we combined electrospinning and galvanic displacement reaction to demonstrate cost-effective high throughput fabrication of ultra-long hollow semiconducting chalcogen and chalcogenide nanofibers. This procedure exploits electrospinning to fabricate ultra-long sacrificial nanofibers with controlled dimensions, morphology, and crystal structures, providing a large material database to tune electrode potentials, thereby imparting control over the composition and shape of the nanostructures that evolved during galvanic displacement reaction.
Self-Assembled Monolayers(SAMs) by alkanethiol adsorption to thin metal film are widely being investigated fer applications as coating layer for anti-stiction or friction reduction and in fabrication of micro structure of molecule and bio molecule. Recently, there have been many researches on micro patterning using the advantages of very thin thickness and etching resistance of Self-Assembled Monolayers in selective etching of thin metal film. In this report, we present the several machining method to form the nanoscale structure by Mask-Less laser patterning using alknanethiolate Self-Assembled Monolayers such as thin metal film etching and heterogeneous SAMs structure formation.
This report summarizes our recent efforts to produce large-grained CIGS materials from porous nanoparticle thin films. In our approach, a $Cu_xSe$ nanoparticle colloid were first prepared by reacting a mixture of CuI in pyridine with $Na_2Se$ in methanol at reduced temperature. purified colloid was sprayed onto heated molybdenum-coated sodalime glass substrates to form thin film. After thermal processing of the thin film under a selenium ambient. $Cu_xSe$ colloid and thin film were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction. The optical(direct) band gap energy of $Cu_xSe$ thin films is 1.5 eV.
