  • 1. Objectives We are going to develope 3D Face Recognition Apparatus to analyse the facial characteristics of the Sasangin. In the process, we should identify the recognition rate of the three dimensional position using this Apparatus. 2. Methods We took a photograph of calibrator($280{\times}400mm$) with interval of 20mm longitudinal direction of 10 times using 3D Face Recognition Apparatus. In the practice, we obtained 967 point to the exclusion of points deviating from the visual field of dual camera. And we made a comparison between measurement values and three dimensional standard values to calculate the errors. 3. Results and Conclusions In this test, the average error rate of X axis values was 0.019% and the maximum error rate of X axis values was 0.033%, the average error rate of Y axis values was 0.025% and the maximum error rate of Y axis values was 0.044%, the average error rate of Z axis values was 0.158% and the maximum error rate of Z axis values was 0.269%. This results exhibit much improvement upon the average error rate 1% and the maximum error rate 2.242% of the existing 3D Recognition Apparatus. In conclusion, we assessed that this apparatus was adaptable to abstract the facial characteristic point from three dimensional face shape in the mechanical aspects.

  • Two-dimensional magnetic recording (TDMR) is treated as the next generation magnetic recording method, but because of its high channel bit error rate, it is difficult to use in practices. In this paper, we introduce a new writing method that can decrease the nonlinear media error effectively, and it can also achieve 10 Tb/$in^2$ of user bit density on a magnetic recording medium with 20 Teragrains/$in^2$.

  • Two-dimensional optical code-division multiple access is a system to transmit a two- dimensional data via parallel transmission line. The probability density function (pdf) of interference noise from other users is calculated and the pdf of asynchronous interference noise is newly calculated to present lower bounds of probability of error. The corresponding bit error rate is evaluated from this results.

  • Holographic data storage (HDS) has a number of advantages, including a high transmission rate through the use of a charge coupled device array for reading two-dimensional (2D) pixel image data, and a high density capacity. HDS also has disadvantages, including 2d intersymbol interference by neighboring pixels and interpage interference by multiple pages stored in the same holographic volume. These problems can be eliminated by modulation codes. We propose a 7/9 error-correcting modulation code that exploits a Viterbi-trellis algorithm and has a code rate larger (about 0.778) than that of the conventional 6/8 balanced modulation code. We show improved performance of the bit error rate with the proposed scheme compared to that of the simple 7/9 code without the trellis scheme and the 6/8 balanced modulation code.

  • Underwater explosion properties for TNT, an ideal explosive, and DXD-04, a nonideal explosive, were numerically modeled with a one-dimensional Lagrangian hydrodynamic code. The equation of state parameters for detonation products for TNT and DXD-04 were obtained from the BKW code, assuming complete reaction. Burn of TNT was modeled by using the Chapman-Jouguet(CJ) volume burn technique, a programmed-burn technique, assuming instantaneous detonation reaction. Burn of DXD-04 was modeled by using the same technique and by using the reaction rate calibrated from two-dimensional steady-state detonation experiments. The calculations for TNT reproduced the experimental peak pressure of the shock wave propagating through water with an error of $3.0\%$ and the experimental oscillation period of the bubble formed of detonation products with an error of $2.3\%$. For DXD-04, the CJ volume burn technique could not reproduce the experimental observations. When the reaction rate calibrated from two-dimensional steady-state detonation experimental data, the calculated peak pressure was slightly higher by $7.3\%$ than the experimental data, but the calculated shock profile was in good agreement. The bubble period was reproduced with an error of $1.8\%$. These results demonstrated that underwater explosion properties for an ideal explosive can be predicted by using a programmed burn technique, and that, however, those for a nonideal explosive can be predicted only when a well-calibrated reaction rate is used.

  • In holographic data storage (HDS), a high transmission rate is accomplished through the use of a charge coupled device array for reading two-dimensional (2D) pixel image data. Although HDS has many advantages in terms of storage capacity and data transmission rates, it also features problems, such as 2D intersymbol interference (ISI) by neighboring pixels and interpage interference (IPI) by multiple images stored in the same holographic volume. Modulation codes can be used to remove these problems. We introduce a 2D 8/9 error-correcting modulation code. The proposed modulation code exploits the trellis-coded modulation scheme, and the code rate is larger (about 0.889) than that of the conventional 6/8 balanced modulation code (an increase of approximately 13.9%). The performance of the bit error rate (BER) with the proposed scheme was improved compared with that of the 6/8 balanced modulation code and the simple 8/9 code without the trellis scheme.

  • We present a simple method to watermark three-dimensional (3D) triangular meshes that have been generated from the depth data of the Kinect sensor. In contrast to previous methods, which maintain the shape of 3D triangular meshes and decide the embedding place, requiring calculations of vertices and their neighbors, our method is based on selecting one of the coordinate axes. To maintain shape, we use discrete wavelet transform and constant regularization. We know that the watermarking system needs the information to be embedded; we used a text to provide that information. We used geometry attacks such as rotation, scales, and translation, to test the performance of this watermarking system. Performance parameters in this paper include the vertices error rate (VER) and bit error rate (BER). The results from the VER and BER indicate that using a correction term before the extraction process makes our system robust to geometry attacks.

  • The asymptotic solution using the Tailor series has been given explicit form for the solute concentration and overall solute removal in hemodiafilter using one dimensional model. The numerical solutions have been calculated within 0.001% error by the Romberg integration method. Compared with the numerical solutions, the oneterm asymptotic solutions were found to be within 3% error for the condition > 3.0 and three-terms asymtotic solutions were required for the condition >0.7 where denotes measure of convection over diffusional transport and a the ratio of blood flow rate over dialysate flow rate.
