  • Due to various ICT Technology innovations and Digital Transformation, the Internet of Things(IoT) environment is increasingly requiring intelligence, decentralization, and automated service, especially an advanced and stable smart service environment in the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT) where communication network(5G), data analysis and artificial intelligence(AI), and digital twin technology are combined. In this study, we propose IIoT Edge middleware systems for flexible interface with heterogeneous devices such as facilities and sensors at various industrial sites and for quick and stable data collection and processing.

  • Recently, the demand for more precise and demand-oriented customized spatial information is increasing due to the 4th industrial revolution. In particular, the use of 3D spatial information and digital twins which based on spatial information, and research for solving social problems in cities by using such information are continuously conducted. Globally, non-face-to-face services are increasing due to COVID-19, and the national policy direction is also rapidly progressing digital transformation, digitization and virtualization of the Korean version of the New Deal, which means that 3D spatial information has become an important factor to support it. In this study, physical objects for cities defined by world organizations such as ISO, OGC, and ITU were selected and the target of the 3D object model was limited to buildings. Based on CityGML2.0, the data collected using a drone suitable for building a 3D model of a small area is selected to be updated through road name address and building ledger, which are administrative information related to this, and LoD2.5 data is constructed and urban space. It was intended to suggest an object update method for a 3D building among data.

  • The digitalization of tasks for smart construction requires the smooth exchange of digital data among stakeholders to be effective, but there is a lack of digital data standardization and utilization methods. This paper proposes a digital construction information structure to transform information from road construction sites into digital formats. The study targets include significant tasks, such as work planning, scheduling, safety management, and quality control. The key to the construction information structure is separating construction information into objects and activities, defining unit works by combining these two types of information to ensure flexibility in representing and modifying construction information. The objects and activities have their respective hierarchical structures, which are defined flexibly to match the actual content. This structure achieves both efficiency and detail. The pilot structure was applied to highway construction projects and implemented digitally using general formats. This study enables the digitalization of road construction processes that closely resemble reality, accelerating the digital transformation of the civil engineering industry by developing a digital twin of the entire road construction lifecycle.

  • This paper introduces a manufacturing facility visualization system for the monitoring of smart factories. With the development of technology and the emergence of such terms as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Industry 4.0, technologies for smart factories are becoming more important. A Manufacturing Execution System that can improve productivity and help decision making by monitoring production plants in real-time is one of the key technologies for smart factories. The application of digital twin technology for more accurate monitoring technology is also an important issue. However, digital twin implementations require an integrated infrastructure that can integrate facility data from multiple manufacturers. Therefore, this paper designs and develops a visualization program that can verify real-time information of facilities using data collection system based on international standard protocol for heterogeneous collection and monitoring of facility data. This allows a factory to consolidate equipment data from multiple manufacturers and to view them in real-time.

  • It is very important to investigate the ground properties of a construction site for the stability during the construction of the retaining wall. In the retaining wall construction stage, ground properties are checked through ground investigation, but the actual ground properties may be different from the ground investigation result. In order to analyze the stability of the retaining wall in real time, it is important to reflect the properties of the actual ground. Also, when it is judged that the wall is unstable, an appropriate solution must be provided for the stability of the wall. This study aims to present a technique for predicting the actual ground properties through a differential evolution algorithm and judging the stability of the earth wall in real time through the digital twin of the retaining wall.

  • A digital twin is a technology that creates a virtual world identical to the real world. Problems in the real world can be identified through various simulations, so it is a trend to be applied in various industries. In order to apply the digital twin, it is necessary to analyze the drawings in which the structure of the real world to be made identical is designed. Although the technology for analyzing drawings is being studied, it is difficult to apply them because the rules or standards for drawing drawings are different for each author. Therefore, in this paper, we implement a system that analyzes and classifies the vertex detail, one of the drawings, using artificial intelligence. Through this, we intend to confirm the possibility of analyzing and classifying drawings through artificial intelligence and introduce future research directions.
