  • Digital technology makes changes of people's behavior style and characteristic of space in which people live. Therefore, we need to adjust conceptual meaning related to digital technology properly. For deriving emotional interactive space design, we need to understand following meanings: the meaning of interaction and interaction design, the meaning of emotion and emotional design, the meaning of space, emotional design, and interaction design in digital society. Consequently emotional interactive space design makes people satisfied with their five senses, communication with people increase and enable people to experience something new that they haven't experienced before transcending time and space.

디지털 데이터를 이용한 목제품 및 금속제품 디자인 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design Development of Wood & Metal Products Using Digital Data)

  • With people's recent increasing interest in good design products, wood and metal products have gained great popularity. However, it was believed that it would be necessary to have a transformation to the manufacturing method based on digital data and equipments from existing analog-based manufacturing method, in order to meet consumers' demand. This study was aimed to seek for the possibility of mass-producing wood and metal products through the research on the type, usage and development conditions of digital data and the methods of utilizing digital equipments. As for research methods, the study analyzed the concepts and types of digital data through various internet and literature reviews and suggested perpetual calendar products as the final outcome of design development using computer data. Through this, the study summarized and organized actual design development processes by stage to provide basic data that could become the foundation of research on the design of wood and metal products using digital data. Through the outcome of this project, the following effects could be expected by developing wood and metal products through digital data. First, its accurate and precise process would help mass-produce complex forms of products and reduce their defective rate. Second, the compatible production of various types of digital equipments would lead to a cost reduction. Third, the diversity of design could be pursued by overcoming technical limitations. In order to satisfy the above expectation effects, such as realization of developing and producing various wood and metal products, there should be designers' creative experimental spirits, their active information exchange and cooperation with the companies concerned.

  • 컴퓨터 기술 발전과 유토피아적 상상력의 교합으로 발생한 디지털 공간은 더 이상 놀이의 공간이 아닌 새로운 가치 창조의 공간으로 발전하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 디지털 공간을 유희성이 두드러지는 디지털 게임의 공간과 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 중심이 되는 가상세계 공간으로 나누고, 각각의 공간에서 활동의 주체가 생성과 운용, 그리고 소멸시점에 따라 어떻게 페르소나를 형성하고 유지하는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 이러한 연구는 디지털 공간의 아바타를 기획하는데 지침서가 될 수 있다는 점에서 유의미하다.

  • Digital Virtual Manufacturing is a technology facilitating effective product developments and agile productions via digital models representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing systems. A digital virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential for successful applications of this technology. In this research, we construct a sophisticated digital virtual factory for the section steel shop in a Korean shipbuilding company by 3-D CAD and virtual manufacturing simulation. The NIST-AMRF CIM hierarchical model and workflow analysis using IDEF methodology are also applied. This digital virtual factory can be applied for diverse engineering activities in design, manufacturing and control of the real factory, and improvements in quality of engineering and savings in time from design to production in shipbuilding are possible.

  • It requires more close cooperation process and mediator for smooth communication in this industry structure where design and engineers are separated. The database of design integrates separate system and helps connection between organizations. The application category is utilized variously from formation to operation. Architectures addressed in this content as Frank Gehry and Nox are making differentiated design on the base of 3d digital methodology and using it widely from generation to fabrication. Especially they got to be free from the generative limit as it became available to analyse, digital surface organization, and realize the complex system form. Now more integrated and delicate works got to be affordable owing to various kinds of improved CNC, RP(rapid-prototype) machines, and architecture hardwares. With a linkage of software now at their disposal, architects can create a digital model of a building and all of its design elements, and in turn use this 3d information to construct actual building components using machines driven by CNC and other advanced manufacturing techniques. Digital technologies are enabling a direct correlation between what design and construction, thus bringing to the forefront the issue of the significance of information, the production, communication, application, and control of digital information in the industrial system. The central requirement is the clear, reliable, and consistent exchange of information among all parties involved in creating a given project.

디지털 크래프트를 적용한 텍스타일 디자인의 감성평가 (Emotional Evaluation of Textile Design Using Digital Craft)

  • 현재 텍스타일 분야는 활용 범위가 확장됨에 따라 감성과 같은 비물질적인 가치에 관해 관심을 두는 연구들이 증가하는 추세를 보인다. 본 연구의 궁극적인 목적은 디지털 크래프트를 적용한 텍스타일 디자인의 감성적 의의에 초점을 맞추어 실증 연구를 통해 디지털 크래프트를 적용한 감성적 텍스타일 디자인의 생성 가능성 및 활용방안을 제안하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 개발한 주관적 평가 스케일을 통해 측정한 평가결과를 바탕으로 디지털 기술을 적용한 텍스타일 디자인과 디지털 크래프트를 적용한 텍스타일 디자인의 차이를 비교하여 통계적으로 의미가 있는지를 검증하기 위한 실증 연구를 진행하였다. 실험 결과, 디지털 크래프트를 적용한 텍스타일 디자인 작품에 대한 감성 생성 가능성과 활용방안에 대한 몇 가지 의미 있는 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 에스닉한 감성은 유의한 수준은 아니지만 3번의 비교 분석에서 모두 증가하였다. 둘째, 모던과 클래식한 감성은 모두 감소하였다. 셋째, 디지털 텍스타일 머신과 디지털 텍스타일 머신과 크래프트의 비교 분석에서 펀한 감성이 유의한 차이로 증가함을 보였다. 넷째, 3D 프린팅과 3D 프린팅과 크래프트의 비교분석에서 엘레강스가 유의미하게 증가하였다. 따라서 디지털 크래프트를 적용한 텍스타일 디자인은 사용한 디지털 기술 방식에 따라 에스닉, 펀, 엘레강스한 감성의 전달이 가능할 것으로 예측된다. 본 연구를 통해 도출한 결과를 텍스타일 디자인 개발과 생산 단계에서 적절하게 사용한다면 감성적 텍스타일 디자인의 개발을 위해 효과적으로 작용할 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 본 연구의 결과는 디지털 크래프트를 통한 감성적 텍스타일 디자인에 대해 객관적인 자료를 제공함으로써 향후 학계뿐만 아니라 실무에도 중요한 시사점을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.
