The Ways of Enhancing ICT Productivity of the Under-served Groups (취약계층의 정보생산성 강화방안)

  • This research aims at building the conceptual model and proposing concrete ways for raising the ICT productivity of the under-served groups. This research consists of four areas: 1) review and discussion of studies on digital divide issues, 2) theoretical reasoning of the relationship between informatization and productivity, 3) analysis of the present status of information gap between the under-served groups and the general public in Korea, finally 4) proposing the directions of policy making and various concrete ways for reducing information gap and raising the ICT productivity of the under-served groups through facilitating digital inclusion. The model of enhancing the ICT productivity of the under-served groups was theoretically reasoned to include three dimensions which are named as Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness. The results of this research can be utilized for making policies of not only enlarging the digital opportunity of people in the under-served groups but also raising their income level and quality of life.

Determinant Factors Including Functional Attributes for Accepting Digital Multimedia Broadcasting Service (기능적 속성을 고려한 DMB 서비스의 채택 결정요인 분석)

  • In this paper we consider the Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) Service that starts recently in Korea and gains popularity. DMB makes it possible to watch high quality TV programs while we are in motion. The service provider or the service researcher are interested in the factors that influence the user's choice of new service such as DMB. Understanding the factors make them create the powerful marketing strategies and develop the new service or product that is attractive for users. We therefore find the factors influencing the user's choice of DMB service, and propose a model for analyzing the relationship between the factors and the intention of buying. The model is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). We extend the TAM by adding factors including functional attributes of DMB service. We survey the significant functional attributes influencing the intention of buying by using the proposed model.

A Study on the Impact of Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation on Enterprise Performance (디지털화 전환과 비즈니스 모델혁신이 기업성과에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, 293 listed enterprises in Shandong Province and Jiangsu Province, China, from 2013 to 2023 are selected as the research object, and the questionnaire method is used to investigate the enterprises that carry out digital transformation, and the data collected from the questionnaires are statistically analyzed. By combining theoretical elaboration and empirical research, the relationship between enterprise digital transformation, business model innovation and corporate performance is investigated. The research results show that digital transformation has a positive impact on corporate performance and business model innovation, and business model innovation plays a mediating role between digital transformation and corporate performance. Based on the conclusions of the study, companies should actively promote digital transformation and accelerate its process. Companies should optimize the company's business innovation model to enhance the company's competitiveness. Companies should accelerate the establishment of a sound policy support for the digital transformation of enterprises, to provide support and reference for the implementation of digital transformation and business model innovation.

Relationship between Side-Necked Volume in a SENB specimen and Plastic Deformation Volume (SENB 시험편의 측면함몰과 소성영역관계)

  • Lee and Kang measured side-necking deformation near a crack-tip for CT specimen using Stereoscopic Digital Speckle Photography and Digital Image Correlation. In this work the same technique was applied to SENB specimen. We happened to find that the deformation shape of the side-necking is similar to the one of plastic region estimated by McClictock using slip line theory. Based on volume constancy of plastic deformation as well as this finding, it is expected that a linear relationship holds between the volume of plastic deformation region and the one of side-necking upon the lateral surface of a specimen. To prove the idea, a preliminary study has been performed using 3-D finite element method on a model with modified boundary layer formulation. As the result, it is shown that the idea works well with acceptable error.

Convergence and Substitutability between IPTV and Digital Cable TV on Subscribers (IPTV와 디지털 케이블 TV 간의 융합과 대체성 강화에 따른 가입자 변동)

  • Due to rapid convergence trends in the digital pay TV market, differentiation among the competing medias decreases and substitutability is increasing. The current study aims to explain the effect of service substitutability among competing media on the size of domestic digital pay TV subscribers. For the analysis, the Lotka-Volterra model, an ecological competitive diffusion model, was used to obtain the basic model for a simulation study. A simulation was performed by adjusting independent variables of substitutability to estimate the size of subscriber for particular media. The relationship between the digital cable TV and the IPTV is identified as a predator-prey relationship and the digital cable TV is found to be superior to the IPTV. The simulation results showed that the increase of convergence and substitutability result in the decrease of the entire media market. Especially, the IPTV is estimated to face the greatest loss in this context.

Estimating the Determinants for employment number by areas : A Panel Data Model Approach (패널 데이터모형을 이용한 지역별 취업자 수 결정요인 추정에 관한 연구)

  • Employment number by areas is composed of various factors for groups and time series. In this paper, we use the panel data for finding various variables and using this, we analyzed the factors that is major influence to employment number by areas. For analysis we looked at employment number by areas, the region for analysis consist of seven groups, that is, the metropolitan city(such as Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangiu, Daejeon, Ulsan.) and Seoul. Analyzing period be formed over a 63 time points(2005.01.- 2010.03). We examined the data in relation to the employment number by occupational job, unemployment rate, monthly household income, preceding business composite index, consumer price index, composite stock price index. In looking at the factors which determine employment number by areas job, evidence was produced supporting the hypothesis that there is a significant negative relationship between unemployment rate and monthly household income the consumer price index. The consumer price index and composite stock price index are significant positive relationship, preceding business composite index is positive relationship, it are not significant variables in terms of employment number by areas job.

  • This study set up a relational model and an assumption concerning how consumer innovativeness could affect the usage motive of digital photos and the usage intention of digital photo printing service, by utilizing the theory of Uses and Gratification(U&G) and Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) so as to cope with the changes in market environment and to construct a new business model. The results fur the study were as below First, innovativeness had a positive effect on convenience, entertaining element and sociality in the relational model of overall innovativeness and usage motive of digital photos. Second, it has been noted that innovativeness had a positive effect on the usage intention of digital photo printing service in the relational model between overall innovativeness and its usage intention. Third, it has been demonstrated that convenience, entertaining element, economic feasibility and sociality had a positive effect on its usage intention in the relational model between overall usage motive of digital photos and the usage intention of digital printing service

  • In space syntax, the mathmatical process to get a integration could be restrictive in understanding spatial configuration since it is based on only one behavior model. In this study, As another approach to spatial configuration analysis based on behavioral model, there is the simulation tracking analysis model that simulates the movements of human in the space and analyze them. In this study, the relationship between integration and behavioral model will be defined and the similarities and the differences between space syntax and the simulation tracking analysis model will be demonstrated. Furthermore, these two analysis models will be understood as a variety of tools that can analyze an object in multiple viewpoints.

  • ESG management refers to corporate management that takes into account environmental, social, and governance factors, while digital transformation goes beyond the mere automation or digitization of existing tasks to drive an innovative change in the essence of work and the way value is created. Therefore, digital transformation can help companies achieve ESG goals and implement sustainable business practices, establishing a complementary relationship between digital transformation and ESG management for corporate sustainability and growth. This relationship maximizes the synergy of integrating digital transformation with ESG management, enabling companies to utilize resources efficiently and prevent redundant investments, ultimately enhancing sustainable management performance. In this study, we propose the simultaneous promotion of business process reengineering (BPR), in which both digital transformation and ESG management are integrated. This is because the collection, analysis, and decision-making processes related to various data for promoting ESG management must be organically integrated with digital transformation technologies. Therefore, we analyzed each ESG management objective presented in the K-ESG guidelines and identified the corresponding digital transformation technologies through expert interviews and a review of prior research. The K-ESG guidelines serve as a useful ESG diagnostic system that enables companies to identify improvement tasks and manage performance based on goals through self-assessment of ESG levels. By developing a model based on the K-ESG guidelines for the integrated promotion of digital transformation and ESG management, companies can simultaneously improve ESG performance and drive digital innovation, reducing redundant investments and trial-and-error while utilizing diverse resources efficiently. This study provides practical and academic implications by developing a concrete and actionable new research model for researchers and businesses.

Integrative Analysis on Digital Piracy: Focused on Attitude, Personal Norm, and Habit (디지털 콘텐츠 불법복제 행동에 대한 통합적 분석: 태도, 개인규범, 습관을 중심으로)

  • The rapid development of information and communication technology has made it for people to pirate digital contents easily and quickly. Although many studies have investigated the underlying factors that lead to an individual engaging in digital piracy, few studies have provided holistic and integrative view on this issue. Therefore, this study attempts to build integrative research model based on theory of planned behavior (TPB), norm activation model (NAM), and habit. For this purpose, this study develops nine hypotheses that explain the relationship between attitude, personal norm, habit, and behavioral intention, and tests them with survey data collected from 337 participants. The results of this study show that attitude, perceived behavioral control, personal norm, and habit have impact on behavioral intention of digital piracy while subjective norm does not affect behavioral intention. This study contributes to expand existing studies by identifying the relationship between attitude, personal norm, habit and behavioral intention.
