  • Recently, a demand of the digital dimmer system is increasing steadily, but domestic research is not sufficient to the expectation. In this paper, a digital dimmer equipment is developed and resented to compose a system. Digital dimmer system compose console and dimmer rack. Console controls of user interface and a total system, and dimmer rack controls brightness of lighting equipment by a way of phase angle control with each illumination level to get from console.

  • Generally, the phase control dimmer has been widely used due to simple interface and easy handling. However, the electrical characteristics are not good for the method in which the phase control dimmer cuts the input voltage. This paper has researched about DALI(Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) controller, that is the digital lighting control method, and implemented DALI protocol satisfied with the IEC-62386 standard. In addition, the existing phase control dimmer was used as the controller of DALI and not only individual control but also group control was possible. And the performance was proved to be good by applying our theory to 30[W] LED lighting control system.

  • Nowadays, Advanced country have devised a plan energy-saving through lighting effectiveness and increasing performance of lighting control system. If it uses the LED as a source of light then conserve electricity by 50%. This paper implement LEMS(Lighting Energy Management System) that applicate and Smart Dimmer and Smart Switch that control the digital LED light, support wired-wireless communication using USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network). This system of validity and reliability control special purpose lamp including indoor and outdoor lighting and landscape lighting effectively. It minimize the use of indoor and outdoor lighting energy by USN remote integral control function of Digital System Lighting of LED and increase effectiveness of energy and is a collaborative system that can feedback the use of electricity by measurement itself through Web and Switch.

  • 현재 수요가 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 디지털 디머 시스템은 국내 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 이러한 시점에 본 논문은 현재까지 개발한 디지털 디머 시스템과 그 기능을 소개하고자 한다. 개발한 시스템은 크게 콘솔과 디머 랙으로 나눌 수 있으며, 콘솔은 사용자와의 인터페이스와 전체 디머 시스템의 제어가 주목적이며, 디머 랙은 콘솔로부터 전송받은 각 조명 레벨을 위상각 제어 방식으로 조명기기의 밝기를 제어하도록 설계하였다.
