The DAB system was designed to provide CD quality audio and data services for fixed, portable and mobile applications with the required BER below $10^{-4}$. However for the T-DMB system with the video service of MPEG-4 stream, BER should go down $10^{-8}$ by adding FEC blocks which consist of the Reed-Solomon (RS) encoder/decoder and convolutional interleaver/deinterleaver. In this paper we propose two types of turbo coded T-DMB system without altering the puncturing procedure and puncturing vectors defined in the standard T-DMB system for compatibility. One(Type 1) can replace the existing RS code, convolutional interleaver and RCPC code by a turbo code and the other one (Type 2) can substitute the existing RCPC code by a turbo code. Simulation results show that two new turbo coded systems are able to yield considerable performance gain after just 2 iterations. Type 2 system is better than type 1 but the amount of performance improvement is small.

Recently, the high performance of tactical situation display console and tactical data links are used to integrate the operational situations in accordance with information age and NCW (Network Centric Warfare). The tendency to maximize the efficiency of task execution has been developed by sharing information and the state of the battle quickly through complex and diverse information exchange. Tactical data link is a communication system that shares the platform with core components of weapons systems and battlefield situation between the command and control systems to perform a Network Centric Warfare and provides a wide range of tactical data required for decision-making and implementation. It provides the tactical information such as tactical information such as operational information, the identification of the peer, and the target location in real time or near real time in the battlefield situation, and it is operated for the exchange of mass tactical information between the intellectuals by providing common situation recognition and cooperation with joint operations. In this study, still image management, audio file management, tactical screen recording and playback using the storage and playback, NITF (National Imagery Transmission Format) message received from the displayer integrates the tactical situation in three dimensions according to multiple data link operation to suggest ways to ensure data integrity between the data link processor during the entire operation time.

This paper proposes a watermarking algorithm considering the frequency characteristics of Haegeum sounds for copyright protection of digital Haegeum sound contents. The harmonics of Haegeum sounds commonly have large magnitude values in 1500Hz~2000Hz and 2800Hz~3500Hz so that those bands are selected to embed a watermark. The proposed method computes the FFT (fast Fourier transform) of the original sound signal and embeds the watermark bits generated by PN (pseudo noise) sequence into the harmonics in the selected bands. Furthermore, the proposed method is robust to lowpass filter, bandpass filter, cropping, noise addition, MP3 compression attacks and the maximum BER (bit error rate) is 1.41% after lowpass filter attack. To measure the quality of the watermarked sound, subjective listening test, MUSHRA (multiple stimuli with hidden reference and anchor), was conducted. The mean value of MUSHRA listening test is bigger than 98 and 96.67 for every Haegeum sounds and Korean classical music with Haeguem, respectively.
Among various tools for pop music composition, what is most frequently used by K-Pop composers is the digital sequencer program, or DAW software (Digital Audio Workstation). When it comes to making commercial music such as K-Pop, the proportion of using these programs is extremely high. By using those software, composers come to undergo an entirely different art creation process. User interface (UI) of the DAW software has a profound effect on the process of making music, particularly vis-a-vis usability and visibility. This study is an attempt to analyze the Avid Pro Tool's UI with a focus on its inherent characteristics revealed in relation with the real effect throughout music composition. This study categorizes the UI elements in the Edit Window of the Pro Tools as Grid, Track, Slip, Clip, and Fade. Those categorized elements would be analyzed through Douglas Morgan's Creative-Process theory, thereby clarifying how visual interface of the DAW software functions in music composition practically.

The purpose of this study is to suggest an improvement of digitization criteria for records that can faithfully reproduce the contents and properties of original records by complementing the problems and deficiencies of "NAK 26:2018(v2.0) Digitization Criteria for records". Thus, this study proposes a technical standard improvement that should be applied to the digitization process for records not produced in the form of digital files by comparing and analyzing the criteria for digitization of records in Korea with overseas digitization criteria, guidelines, recommendations, and so on. In addition, verifying the validity on this study by interviewing experts from the record-related institutions. As a result, suggested a final improvement of criteria for digitization of records such as applying non compression-Lossless codecs, proposing appropriate resolution values for each type of records, audio channels, frame rates, scan methods, and criteria for microform types.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the current situation and background of the Russian consumer music market, where digital music sources are making great strides in the noted recent years. In addition, music storage technology, media and change are considered together in this report. Moreover, Russia is the 12th largest music market in the world. The Russian music industry is following the recent trend of the global music industry, where the digital music market is growing rapidly on many different levels. The explosive growth of the digital sound sources in Russia's music industry is attributed to the explosive increase in available consumer downloads, streaming sound source service, and the increase in the number of digital sound sources using mobile technologies due to the development of the Internet. In particular, the sales of the available and accessible streaming sound sources are expected to grow explosively by the year 2020, which is expected to account for more than 85% of total digital music sales. In other words, the spread of smartphones and the resulting changes in the lifestyle of the Russians have created these changes for the global consumer of music. In other words, the time has come for anyone to easily access music and listen to music without a separate audio or digital player. And the fact that the Russian government's strong policy on the eradication of illegal copying of music is becoming an effective deterrent, as is also the factor that led to the increase of the share of the digital sound source to increase sales in Russia. Today, the Russian music industry is leading this change through the age and process of simply adapting to the digital age. Music is the most important element of cultural assets, and it is the beneficial content, which drives the overall growth of the digital economy. In addition, if the following five improvements(First, strengthen the consciousness of the Russian people about copyright protection; Second, utilizing the Big Data Internet resources in the digital music industry; Third, to improve the monopoly situation of digital music distributors; Fourth, distribution of fair music revenues; and Fifth, revitalization of a re-investment in the current Russian music industry) are effective and productive, Russia's role and position in the world music market is likely to expand.

The Trellis Coded Modulation(TCM) allows the considerable achievements of coding gains compare with conventional multi-level modulation without compromising bandwidth efficiency. In this paper, we are presented a design of the parallel Viterbi decoder for 16-QAM TCM decoder with large constraint length (K=9), which can be applicable for the Digital Audio Broadcasting(DAB) receiver. As a mid-term result, a parallel Branch Metric Calculator (BMC)can compute 16 BMs within 3 clocks and a parallel 16 Add-Compare-Selects (ACS) unit can compute in a single clock. And also, two 256 Path Metric Memories (PMM) 32 Trace Back(TB) memories are specially designed with shuffle exchange switches for 16 parallel accesses. As a VHDL simulation, we can find the correctness of proposed model, which can be operated 16 S per symbol. Now, we are performing the hardware reduction for realtime operation and FPGA implementation.
Car Navigation market is rapidly emerging in Korea recently. And it adds the multiple functions which are various traffic and travel information, DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) TV, game, movie and music. It is evolving as a killer application device of Car Infotainment (Information & Entertainment). On the other hand, the technical barrier which is pushing into the market is low and the competition is intense in process of time. In the market situation, the design differentiation is embossed with important element. In this case study, focused on inkel which specialized in Audio/Video launching into the Car Navigation market with the new brand 'WideTouch', we tried to provide successful product design strategy based on proactive research on the market for the design differentiation through the target segmentation of the new generation, middle-aged and a woman consumer.

STSAT-2 is first satellite which is scheduled to launch by first Korea launcher. Ground station Baseband Controller(GBC) for operating STSAT-2 is now developing. GBC control data flow path between satellite operation computers and ground station antennas and count number of received data packets among demodulated audio signals from three antennas and also set data flow path to good-receiving antenna automatically In GBC two uplink FSK modulators(1.2kbps, 9.6kbps) and six downlink FSK demodulators(9.6kbps, 38.4kbps) are embedded. STSAT-2 GBC hardware is more simpler than STSAT-1 GBC by using FPGA in which all digital logic implemented. Now test and debugging of GBC hardware and Software(FPGA Code and CBC Manager Program) is well progressing in SaTReC, KAIST. This paper introduce GBC structure, functions and test results.
