Efficient Processing of Multidimensional Vessel USN Stream Data using Clustering Hash Table (클러스터링 해쉬 테이블을 이용한 다차원 선박 USN 스트림 데이터의 효율적인 처리)

  • Digital vessel have to accurate and efficient mange the digital data from various sensors in the digital vessel. But, In sensor network, it is difficult to transmit and analyze the entire stream data depending on limited networks, power and processor. Therefore it is suitable to use alternative stream data processing after classifying the continuous stream data. In this paper, We propose efficient processing method that arrange some sensors (temperature, humidity, lighting, voice) and process query based on sliding window for efficient input stream and pre-clustering using multiple Support Vector Machine(SVM) algorithm and manage hash table to summarized information. Processing performance improve as store and search and memory using hash table and usage reduced so maintain hash table in memory. We obtained to efficient result that accuracy rate and processing performance of proposal method using 35,912 data sets.

  • Due to the digital technology, the TV broadcasting platform is evolving to the digital-TV, which is supporting data broadcasting service. Although the data broadcasting services (i.e., games, wether information, stock trading service) provide rich entertainment to viewers, they make the operation manners of digital-TV so complex that some viewers feel difficulty in using their TV sets. Several researches have been performed to address the problem by improving the functions of EPG such as searching and reserving programs, applying gesture and voice recognition technologies to operating EPG, guiding the design of the EPG's user interface, and developing agents helping EPG to behave intelligently. A research, however, that tries to address the problem that viewers have different familiarities with IT services has not been performed yet. The paper tackles the problem by letting a viewer to choose an EPG configuration (among the several EPG configurations provided by a broadcasting network) and designing an EPG that implements an EPG configuration based on the choice.

Noise Cancellation using Microphone Array in Digital Hearing Aids (디지털 보청기에서 마이크로폰 어레이를 이용한 잡음제거)

  • In this paper, a noise cancellation-method using microphone array for digital hearing aids is proposed. The microphone array is located around the ear of a dummy. Speech sound is generated from the forward speaker positioned in the front of the dummy and noise sound is generated from the backward speaker. The speech and noise are mixed in the air space and entered into the microphones. VAD(voice activity detector) and ANC(adaptive noise cancellation) methods were used to eliminate noise in the sound of the microphones. 10 two-syllable words and 4 sentences were used for speech signals. Babble and car interior noise were used for noise signals. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated by SNR(signal-to-noise ratio) and PESQ-MOS(perceptual evaluation of speech quality-mean opinion score). In babble noise condition, SNR was improved as much as $7.963{\pm}1.3620dB\;and\;3.968{\pm}0.6659dB$ for words and sentences respectively. In the case of car interior noise, SNR was improved as $10.512{\pm}2.0665dB\;and\;6.000{\pm}1.7642dB$ for words and sentences respectively. PESQ-MOS of the babble noise was improved as much as $0.1722{\pm}0.0861$ score for words and $0.083{\pm}0.0417$ score for sentences. And PESQ-MOS of the car interior noise was improved as $0.2661{\pm}0.0335$ score and $0.040{\pm}0.0201$ score for words and sentences respectively. It is verified that the proposed algorithm has a good performance in noise cancellation of microphone array for digital hearing aids.

Efficient Processing of Multidimensional Sensor stream Data in Digital Marine Vessel (디지털 선박 내 다차원 센서 스트림 데이터의 효율적인 처리)

  • It is necessary to accurate and efficient management for measured digital data from various sensors in digital marine vessel. It is not efficient that sensor network process input stream data of mass storage stored in database the same time. In this paper, We propose to improve the processing performance of multidimensional stream data continuous incoming from multiple sensor. We propose that we arrange some sensors (temperature, humidity, lighting, voice) and process query based on sliding window for efficient input stream and found multiple query plan to Mjoin method and we reduce stored data using SVM algorithm. We automatically delete that it isn't necessary to the data from the database and we used to ship diagnosis system for available data. As a result, we obtained to efficient result about 18.3% reduction rate of database using 35,912 data sets.

  • In China, the usage of smart speaker is continuously increasing. In this study, it is aimed to research on the user experience of the Chinese smart speaker. Therefore, we did literature research followed with theoretical background of smart speaker, and did case study of worldwide popular smart speaker brands. On this basis, we conducted in-depth interview with 8 users who have experienced with the top-selling Chinese smart speaker product "Tmall Genie" and "Mi AI speaker". The interview is based on 7 principles named Honeycomb model, which created by Peter Morville. As a result, users' discomfort was found in the functional part and the usability part of the smart speaker. Furthermore, the users were highly unsatisfied with the smart speaker in the credibility part. Accordingly, Chinese smart speaker should consider the user experience aspects to complement functional and usability parts for user.

  • In this paper, we propose a digital method for transmitting audio signals using LED visible light communication system. In the proposed method, we compare the method for transmitting audio signal in analog signal and the method for transmitting by digital signal. When amplifying the audio sound and transmitting the analog signal using the LED visible light communication, attenuation corresponding to the transmission distance occurs, and there is a disadvantage that it is noisy. In order to overcome this, we propose a method for transmitting digital audio signals. The proposed method has the advantage of reducing the influence of noise, but it turned out that it is affected much by the LED blinking speed. Various methods to overcome this need to be continuously studied.

  • Nowadays, the improvement and development of Multi-media, information and communication technology are rapidly processed. And many products, for example, digital camera, digital camcorder, and PDA, are used for them. They need large data storage capacity and small size, light storage system. Due to that, many studies and researches in data storage system have been carried out. Especially, micro drive system was presented by IBM.(1) However, its system is expensive and uneasy to be portable. In ODD technologies, 1 inch drive system is not yet or in processing status.(2) If to be possible and to be come up, it is cheap than HDD system and easy to transfer information. In this paper, a miniaturized actuator(about linch) is designed and tested for ODD system. Specially, it is adapted for NFR(Near-field Recoding) system using SIL(Solid Immersion Lens). It is the dual-servo actuator which consists of a coarse actuator and fine actuator. Its actuating force generation method is VCM(Voice Ceil Motor). The fine actuator has 4-wire suspensions and bobbin wrapped by coil and includes focusing motion as well as tracking motion. The coarse actuator has an actuating coil and V-grooved guide mechanism. Also, the characteristics of the designed actuator is estimated by sine-swept mode and LDV(Laser Doppler Vibro-meter).

  • ISDN is network which has been developed to integrate and transfer some information(data, video, voice). In the ISDN, security problem that threat and intrusion about important information resource increase because every information is transferred in the form of digital and access of network has patiency. In this paper, for protect important information resource, studied that apply application method and encryption system to ISDN, and system structure, ITU-T Q.931 protocol were analyzed, and proposable encryption key distribution protocol, call control with hybrid encryption system for user information privacy to provide security service.

  • We are developing a minimized integrated public address system that has facilities such as external input, Mic., CD, MP3 and Radio. In this paper, developing an integrated public address system with operational MICOM will make it possible to control the facilities of digital devices centrally. The operational MICOM is composed of 3 layers which are a control layer, a processing layer and a user interface layer. The control layer controls digital devices in the integrated public address and the processing layer is for processing voice data editing, controlling signals of devices and providing status information of the device. The user interface layer displays the status of control devices and the data processing of a user. A remote control is used for the central control.

  • Currently digital TRS is providing the voice-oriented service based on stat-tree topology of 2.5G. As result of that, it has alimitation to accept the wide band multimedia services. Therefore, this paper designed the mesh topology based on packet networkand proposed the algorism of dynamic path establishment based on priority. In korea case, we confirmed that hop numbers priority base is more reasonable than distance priority base. And counted the trunk traffic including redundancy traffic to prevent the bottlenect situation and trouble. Also analysed the bandwidth between network management centers of backbone and access.
