The size and shape of the human body has been an important factor not only in anthropology but in integration of designs aimed for daily use. Although the three-dimensional measurements have been proposed and obtained introducing new methods, there still remains many problems concerning how to analyze and evaluate the results. In this study, we have got the internal and external orientation factors, image coordinates from the ac-quired photographs, have calaulated the object coordinates through Bundle Adjustment, have matched multi-images. have drawn the object in the computer, and smoothly handled the surface of the body model using the Au-to-CAD system or graphic processing utility then we could generate the digital model of human body. The. results show that once digital modeling of the body is generated. the information which a designer needs can be acquired and the adequate calculations for many application fields can be done easily and many geometrical properties could be extracted. Therefore we propose the possibility of indirect human body measurement through digital model generation.

This study aims to generate triangulated irregular network in a form of digital terrain model which is being increasingly used. In general, grid digital elevation model and triangulated irregular network are reasonable units for solving terrain problems. But, triangulated irregular network is an efficient alternative to grid digital elevation model because of their efficiency in storing data and their convenient data structure for accommodating irregularly spaced elevation data. Various methods represented for extracting triangulated irregular networks from grid digital elevation model, and then algorithm that get accurate results for triangulation with their data set was introduced. The new approach for triangulation in this study uses the Elevation and Changeable Distance criterion, and adding interpolation points and restricted constraint lines can generate triangulated irregular network which is more close to real surface. This made database efficient construction and could be used for many applications of geo-spatial information system.
Recently, the development of accurate gravity-meter and GPS make it possible to obtain high resolution gravity data. Though gravity data interpretation like modeling and inversion has significantly improved, gravity data processing itself has improved very little. Conventional gravity data processing removes gravity effects due to mass and height difference between base and measurement level. But, it would be a biased density model when some or whole part of anomalous bodies exist above the base level. We attempted to make a multiquadric surface of the survey area from topography with DEM (Digital Elevation Map) data. Then we constituted rectangular blocks which reflect real topography of the survey area by the multiquadric surface. Thus, we were able to carry out 3-D inversions which include information of topography. We named this technique, 3-D Gravity Terrain Inversion (3DGTI). The model test showed that the inversion model from 3DGTI made better results than conventional methods. Furthermore, the 3-dimensional model from the 3DGTI method could maintain topography and as a result, it showed more realistic geologic model. This method was also applied on real field data in Masan-Changwon area. Granitic intrusion is an important geologic characteristic in this area. This method showed more critical geological boundaries than other conventional methods. Therefore, we concluded that in the case of various rocks and rugged terrain, this new method will make better model than convention ones.

To classify the surface sedimentary facies using IKONOS image collected over Hwangdo tidal flat in Cheonsu Bay, the optical reflectance was compared for characterizing various sedimentary environments such as grain size, tidal channel pattern and area ratio of surface remnant water. The intertidal DEM (Digital Elevation Model) was generated by echo-sounder for analyzing the relationship between IKONOS image and sedimentary environments including topography. The boundary of the optical reflectance between mud-mixed facies and sand facies was distinct, and discrimination of the associated sandbar feature was also possible. The mud-mixed facies coupled with intricate tidal channels is confined to the relatively hi호 topography of Hwangdo tidal flat. The boundary between mud and mixed flat was indistinct in IKONOS optical reflectance but it would have a difference in the area ratio of surface remnant water. The dark area in the image represented the well developed sand facies having a lot of surface remnant water due to the relatively low surface topography. The overall accuracy of characterizing the surface sediment facies by maximum likelihood classification method was 86.2 %. These results demonstrate that high spatial resolution satellite imagery such as IKONOS coupled with knowledge of grain size, surface remnant water and tidal channel network can be effectively used to characterize the surface sedimentary facies (mud, mixed and sand) network of the tidal flat environments.
It requires more close cooperation process and mediator for smooth communication in this industry structure where design and engineers are separated. The database of design integrates separate system and helps connection between organizations. The application category is utilized variously from formation to operation. Architectures addressed in this content as Frank Gehry and Nox are making differentiated design on the base of 3d digital methodology and using it widely from generation to fabrication. Especially they got to be free from the generative limit as it became available to analyse, digital surface organization, and realize the complex system form. Now more integrated and delicate works got to be affordable owing to various kinds of improved CNC, RP(rapid-prototype) machines, and architecture hardwares. With a linkage of software now at their disposal, architects can create a digital model of a building and all of its design elements, and in turn use this 3d information to construct actual building components using machines driven by CNC and other advanced manufacturing techniques. Digital technologies are enabling a direct correlation between what design and construction, thus bringing to the forefront the issue of the significance of information, the production, communication, application, and control of digital information in the industrial system. The central requirement is the clear, reliable, and consistent exchange of information among all parties involved in creating a given project.

PURPOSE. The accuracy of a gypsum model (GM), which was taken using a conventional silicone impression technique, was compared with that of a polyurethane model (PM), which was taken using an iTero$^{TM}$ digital impression system. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The maxillary first molar artificial tooth was selected as the reference tooth. The GMs were fabricated through a silicone impression of a reference tooth, and PMs were fabricated by a digital impression (n=9, in each group). The reference tooth and experimental models were scanned using a 3 shape convince$^{TM}$ scan system. Each GM and PM image was superimposed on the registered reference model (RM) and 2D images were obtained. The discrepancies of the points registered on the superimposed images were measured and defined as GM-RM group and PM-RM group. Statistical analysis was performed using a Student's T-test (${\alpha}=0.05$). RESULTS. A comparison of the absolute value of the discrepancy revealed a significant difference between the two groups only at the occlusal surface. The GM group showed a smaller mean discrepancy than the PM group. Significant differences in the GM-RM group and PM-RM group were observed in the margins (point a and f), mesial mid-axial wall (point b) and occlusal surfaces (point c and d). CONCLUSION. Under the conditions examined, the digitally fabricated polyurethane model showed a tendency for a reduced size in the margin than the reference tooth. The conventional gypsum model showed a smaller discrepancy on the occlusal surface than the polyurethane model.
When making urban planning, it is important to understand climate effect caused by urban structural changes. Seoul city applies UPIS(Urban Plan Information System) which provides information on urban planning scenario. Technology for analyzing climate effect resulted from urban planning needs to developed by linking urban planning scenario provided by UPIS and climate analysis model, CAS(Climate Analysis Seoul). CAS develops for analyzing urban climate conditions to provide realistic information considering local air temperature and wind flows. Quantitative analyses conducted by CAS for the production, transportation, and stagnation of cold air, wind flow and thermal conditions by incorporating GIS analysis on land cover and elevation and meteorological analysis from MetPhoMod(Meteorology and atmospheric Photochemistry Meso-scale model). In order to reflect land cover and elevation of the latest information, CAS used to highly accurate raster data (1m) sourced from LiDAR survey and KOMPSAT-2(KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite) satellite image(4m). For more realistic representation of land surface characteristic, DSM(Digital Surface Model) and DTM(Digital Terrain Model) data used as an input data for CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) model. Eight inflow directions considered to investigate the change of flow pattern, wind speed according to reconstruction and change of thermal environment by connecting green area formation. Also, MetPhoMod in CAS data used to consider realistic weather condition. The result show that wind corridors change due to reconstruction. As a whole surface temperature around target area decreases due to connecting green area formation. CFD model coupled with CAS is possible to evaluate the wind corridor and heat environment before/after reconstruction and connecting green area formation. In This study, analysis of climate impact before and after created the green area, which is part of 'Connecting green network across the north and south in Seoul' plan, one of the '2020 Seoul master plan'.
Background and objective: The purpose of study is to analyze the three-dimensional (3D) structure by creating a 3D model for green spaces in a park using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images. Methods: After producing a digital surface model (DSM) and a digital terrain model (DTM) using UAV images taken in Mureung Park in Chuncheon-si, we generated a digital tree height model (DHM). In addition, we used the mean shift algorithm to test the classification accuracy, and obtain accurate tree height and volume measures through field survey. Results: Most of the tree species planted in Mureung Park were Pinus koraiensis, followed by Pinus densiflora, and Zelkova serrata, and most of the shrubs planted were Rhododendron yedoense, followed by Buxus microphylla, and Spiraea prunifolia. The average height of trees measured at the site was 7.8 m, and the average height estimated by the model was 7.5 m, showing a difference of about 0.3 m. As a result of the t-test, there was no significant difference between height values of the field survey data and the model. The estimated green coverage and volume of the study site using the UAV were 5,019 m2 and 14,897 m3, respectively, and the green coverage and volume measured through the field survey were 6,339 m2 and 17,167 m3. It was analyzed that the green coverage showed a difference of about 21% and the volume showed a difference of about 13%. Conclusion: The UAV equipped with RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) modules used in this study could collect information on tree height, green coverage, and volume with relatively high accuracy within a short period of time. This could serve as an alternative to overcome the limitations of time and cost in previous field surveys using remote sensing techniques.
Objectives: The maintenance of the healthy periodontal ligament cells of the root surface of donor tooth and intimate surface contact between the donor tooth and the recipient bone are the key factors for successful tooth transplantation. In order to achieve these purposes, a duplicated donor tooth model can be utilized to reduce the extra-oral time using the computer-aided rapid prototyping (CARP) technique. Materials and Methods: Briefly, a three-dimensional digital imaging and communication in medicine (DICOM) image with the real dimensions of the donor tooth was obtained from a computed tomography (CT), and a life-sized resin tooth model was fabricated. Dimensional errors between real tooth, 3D CT image model and CARP model were calculated. And extra-oral time was recorded during the autotransplantation of the teeth. Results: The average extra-oral time was 7 min 25 sec with the range of immediate to 25 min in cases which extra-oral root canal treatments were not performed while it was 9 min 15 sec when extra-oral root canal treatments were performed. The average radiographic distance between the root surface and the alveolar bone was 1.17 mm and 1.35 mm at mesial cervix and apex; they were 0.98 mm and 1.26 mm at the distal cervix and apex. When the dimensional errors between real tooth, 3D CT image model and CARP model were measured in cadavers, the average of absolute error was 0.291 mm between real teeth and CARP model. Conclusions: These data indicate that CARP may be of value in minimizing the extra-oral time and the gap between the donor tooth and the recipient alveolar bone in tooth transplantation.

To improve the surface waviness in the peripheral milling, the feedrate is controlled so that the cutting force measured in the normal direction to the workpiece is constant. A discrete time first order model between the feedrate and the tool deflection is derived for the control. It has been shown by the analysis that the tool deflection is directly related to the feedrate and largely affects the surface waviness during cutting. The experimental results shown that the surface waviness is drastically improved by the proposed methods.
